Mad Monkey Panglao

Bij aankomst lag er bedwantsenpoep op het bed. Ik kreeg snel een ander bed, maar het oude werd nooit schoongemaakt en de uitwerpselen namen toe. ’s Nachts liepen er kakkerlakken rond en over me heen, zelfs terwijl ik in bed lag. Overal in de kamer waren pissenbedden en andere insecten. De badkamer was redelijk, maar de waterdruk was zo laag dat handen wassen amper lukte. Ondanks snelle reactie van het personeel was de algehele hygiëne zwaar ondermaats.

The hostel in general is “ok”, but everything is overpriced (drinks, food, laundry, etc.) . It is supposed to be a party hostel but most of the days there aren’t that many people, and even that they have something going on every night, you have to pay to participate.

Mad Monkey Panglao is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The bathrooms are filthy, and the noise levels are unbearable. They claim that the music stops at midnight, but that is simply not true. On weekdays, it blasts until 1 AM, and on weekends, it continues until 2 AM at an insanely high volume. Even with earplugs, it’s impossible to get any sleep. After months of traveling and staying in numerous hostels, this is the first time I’ve actually left early.

Kinda rude personal, good luck sleeping before 1 am. Room shakes from the airplanes flying over. Hundreds of mosquitoes and bed kinda dirty

The light in the morning penetrated the hall of the room and illuminated the whole room every morning, in addition the motorcycle parking is adjacent and it is impossible to sleep in the early hours of the morning.

Got like 30 bed bug bites. Pretty terrible

BEDBUGS. I left the hostel with bedbug bites all over me. Spiders on my bed, ant infestations on the walls around my bed and on my pillow. Not good for solo travellers - not very social tbh. Staff were friendly but hostel just wasn’t clean at all.

Lage ist nicht gut, weit weg von panglao. man sieht dad meer, aber man darf nicht hingehen. Musik beginnt um 10 am vm und geht bis 12 in der Nacht. Betten waren bewuem aber daneben dreckig und unhygienisch. Pool war immer leer bis auf einen Tag.

Gezellige atmosfeer en aardig personeel. Hygiene is alleen erg slecht. Overal zit zwarte schimmel, zelfs de matrassen zijn helemaal beschimmeld. Het zwembad was ook vies, het water was cloudy.

The location was not good, very far from the city center. The pool was unavailable due to a foam party the night before. Check-in takes 30 minutes and half the menu was unavailable

I had the best time at Mad Monkey Panglao. Amazing for meeting people, especially if you’re a solo traveller. Staff are so kind and accommodating - Ish, Dredd and Ivy are the best, and the food is amazing. Expect to be drunk every day, you can’t escape it.

Had such a great stay at this hostel! The place was clean, cozy, and had a really friendly atmosphere that made it easy to feel at home. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, but special thanks to Irish at the reception for being so kind, accommodating, and always greeting guests with a smile. She really made the experience extra memorable. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay!

My best mad monkey and my best experience in a hostel. It's clean and very safe. The place is very close to the beach and all people of the staff are incredible. Every day and every night, the atmosphere is fantastic. Special thanks for Ivy. If you have any need, she will find a solution to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

I had an amazing time in Mad Monley Panglao! Every night events were fun thanks to Ivy, Dredd and Kiran, they were such a lovely team and made sure everyone felt welcome and had the greatest time. The hostel itself is so nice, with a pool, a cute bar with great food and they offer different tours with Jeff, the best guide of Bohol, I’ll come back for sure :)

The perfect place to relax and have fun! Special thanks to Jen and Rowin at the reception for all their help and warm hospitality. The housekeeping team, especially MG and Lee, were excellent as well. And if you’re looking for a great night out, Ivy, Dred, Jeffrey, and Keran will definitely make your evening unforgettable

Love the hostel, clean comfy bed, bed sheet change everyday but the best part is the Lovely staff . From the réception, to the kitchen staff everybody is super welcoming and smiley. Special mention to Kirian and Ivy. Love you guys, see you next year

Can’t imagine a better way to start off my trip. The staff/reps made it so special and particularly fun, they were all so generous, fun, and interesting (shoutout Jeff, Ivy, the list goes on)! Our AC started leaking in our room and the front of house and maintenance staff fixed it so thoroughly and quickly. Facilities were well maintained and clean. Good mix of people in their twenties (young to late). The activities/parties were fun and I met so many great people I wish I could’ve extended ...

Had an amazing stay at Mad Monkey Panglao ❤️ The atmosphere was super social and welcoming, making it really easy to meet other travelers. The staff were incredibly friendly and always brought great energy to the hostel. The dorms were clean and comfortable, and the pool/bar area was the perfect place to chill after island hopping. Definitely one of the best hostels for solo travelers in Panglao would 100% stay again!

Mad Monkey Panglao is a very good mix between chill Social Vibe and good Partys in the evening. I want to particularly emphasize Jen, Rowin and Cris. They had always a smile on their face and were really helpful with a lot of things! The beds are also the best I‘ve had in a Mad Monkey

Jim and Rowin on reception are so friendly. All the staff are all so welcoming including Dred, Kieran and Ivy. Rooms are clean and comfortable beds and the pool is lush. Overall a lovely atmosphere

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were amazing. They even payed for my ride to the port!

Perfect location to get away from the city area, also convenient location to walk to beach to take boat to Balicasag

Everything was great, specially all the staff!! Jit, Pedro, Ivy, leonora, Rio, erick, marvin ..thank you very much for everything! Very clean rooms, staff very accommodating, very social and daily activities. I would recommend 10/10
