Hostal Vista Verde Minca

We choose this hostel because of the great reviews and were highly disappointed in the end. The hostel seems to be quite new, but things are already broken and more cheep quality. Our room (private) was super empty and white, not really finished yet. The staff tried to be helpful, but don't speak english and didn't make any afford to talk slowly, so we can understand. More a cold atmosphere, also there were nearly no guests apart from us. The view is nice and in the nature, what we liked.

The lodge has a beautiful view and is very idyllic. Drinking water is not provided. Kitchen was not allowed to be shared. Strong bedbug infestation in the dorm and we were overlooked with stings. Hostel owners first not indulgent, then both nights get refunded. Breakfast was charged on top, although actually included in overnight stay. We informed the other guests about the bed bugs (they recognized their stings as well) and then we were pleased to leave from the Hostel owners..

staff speaks 0 english, its very far from Minca by foot, so only accessible with mototaxi. The view is stunning and the food is fine but overpriced.

We stayed 2 nights in Vista Verde and overall, I have a hard time recommending this place to anyone else. Though the sunset views are beautiful and the owner is friendly, there are a lot of issues too: No access to the kitchen is not acceptable for a hostel. No Wi-Fi. Bedrooms have holes in the wall, inviting all sorts of bugs in at night. Mosquito net is too small for a double bed, doesn't close. Lady serving breakfast is rude. Aggressive dog barking all night. Very remote and hard to get to

Super hostel situé sur le haut de la montagne après le village de Minca. Une petite pépite. Simple, reposant et idéal pour chiller. Les dortoirs sont confortables. Néanmoins, le chemin pour monter est une véritable petite randonnée de 30min, pentue mais qui en vaut la peine. Les couchés de soleil sont magnifiques. Aussi, le petit dej est validé ! Ne prenez pas le chemin de GoogleMap, prendre le chemin montant en face de la station de bus et légèrement sur la gauche.

Positif : beautiful property, gorgeous view. The staff are adorably nice! This is the perfect place if you want to relax and find a peaceful hostel Beds are comfy with mosquito nets and personal fans Negative: it is quite far from the center but I knew that! Going down you will have a nice 35min walk but going up you will probably prefer a mototaxi. They do stop around 10pm so you will not be able to go out! Also, the WiFi does work great in the common area but not in the rooms I recommend !!

Bon hostel si vous recherchez la tranquillité, une vue magnifique et un personnel aimable. Attention si vous comptez monter à pied depuis Minca, les GPS (google Maps, Mapsme) vous amènent de l’autre côté de la montagne.

Really nice family run hostel, with an amazing view over Minca. It's a bit remote and away from the city, so be ready for a hike to get there (it goes up and up !)

Good hostel, friendly staff, a bit out of the way from the centre of town but worth it for the views.

The view and the atmosphere is incredible and there are a lot of things to do/see within a short walk from the hostel such as waterfalls, natural swimming-pools, coffee and cacao farms. I loved the quiet setting, while still being close to town (approx. 30min walk) and even closer to a lot of Mincas main attractions.

On the top of my favorite hostel in South America !! Perfect spot to rest and charge your batteries. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious; hold up to the handmade arepas ! Really clean and so quiet, the best I could hope for. Close by the waterfall and the pozos as well. I extended my stay already but wished I could more

One of my favourite hostels in Colombia. Location is very far away but that is what makes it special. The most beautiful views and sunset. The perfect place to relax and unwind in a hammock surrounded by beautiful settings. The food the family cook is so good also! Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape for a few days!

my favorite hostel in minca (and I've been to many). the best view a hostel could ever offer while still being a walk away from town. I've found myself coming back just to see the amazing almost 360° view. the hostel is not big but there are many comfortable spots so you could feel alone with the view. it is very much in nature, that means a lot of birds but also insects. the amenities could also be better and cleaner but only the sunset makes it all worth it.

Nice hostel on a remote place with great views. Very suitable as starting place for trekking. They serve three meals a day (breakfast is included) and those are delicious. Beds are comfy (albeit on the short side). Just keep in mind it is quite a walk (or motor taxi ride) from the town and that there is no warm water. Also, during my stay, the electricity was not working for about a day. If you don't mind this and love nature, this is a great place!

This place is awesome if you just wanna chill in a hammock on the upper deck or in the big net for sunset. The employees are great. Natalia took care of us. It’s outside of town so don’t expect to be going back and fourth a lot. You can hike to multiple activities from here tho. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Posto bellissimo immerso nel verde. Oggettivamente scomodo se pensate di scendere frequentemente in paese. C’è una lunga camminata in salita su un sentiero a tratti sterrato per arrivarci (praticamente un trekking). La notte può essere spiacevole da fare. Se invece volete riposarvi e stare lontano dai rumori è il posto ideale. Atmosfera rilassata, personale disponibile.

Das Hostel ist ein richtig toller Ort zum Erholen. Die Besitzerin des Hostels ist super freundlich, sowie ihre Angestellten. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön! Wer gerne wandert oder einfach die Natur geniest, ist hier genau richtig!

I love this hostel!! What an absolute hidden gem. The location is absolutely incredible. I loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Minca up in the hills. The dorm is spacious and comfortable, the food is reasonably priced and tasty and the family who run the hostel are lovely. I honestly didn't want to leave. Such a peaceful place. I loved watching the butterflies and birds whilst sitting in one of the hammocks.

Grosse Empfehlung! Sehr süsses und simples Hostel. Ein wenig abgelegen und nicht ganz einfach zu erreichen - der Weg ist es jedoch wert.
