Hangten SurfSkate Hostel

The atmosphere in the hostel was alright, but I didn’t feel very welcomed by the staff. I noticed that after guests check out, they only replaced the pillowcases. When I checked out and went to retrieve my bag from the room, my bed was already made for the next guest. However, there was a stain on the mattress cover that was still there after they had "cleaned" the bed.

Sinon, je ne conseille pas tellement Il y a très peu de pression dans la douche, aucun endroit où poser ses affaires. Assez galère de prendre sa douche Les matelas sont ultra fins donc vous dormez sur le bois Et l’emplacement est un peu embêtant, il faut sans cesse prendre un Tuktuk pour aller en ville/à la plage (400roupies)

Lovely staff, nice hangingout area! But if you want to sleep this may not be your hostel. There is no silence in the night times, people skate until mid night, talk during silence time and drink etc. Aircon barely worked so it was over 30° in women dormitory often. Also toilet door (toilet is open for outdoor air) didnt keep closed so we had during night time lots of mosquitos and heat came in from that door also. Beds are so old that you always wakeup when upper bed move.

Wouldn't stay there again. Almost got no sleep cause the dorm door squeaked so loud that even earplugs didn't helped. For their tuk tuk service you pay more than jus taking one from the street. However you get the feeling that they don't like it if you don't take their service. The stuff is friendly though.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience whereby a tuktuk driver brought out a weapon on me. whilst this isnt the hostels fault. the locaation is significantly far away from both the beach and the town. the hostels themselves feel very crowded and the check in procedure was very messy with 3 different people talking to me, none of which knew what to do for checkin. They do offer a tuktuk service to town for 300Rs, but honestly considering how far it is, i think this should be complimentary

Kamen spät abends nach der Safari an, komischer Vibe am Anfang, Personal wusste nicht wirklich welche Betten im Zimmer belegt waren, Zimmer generell sehr unordentlich (das lag jedoch an den Leuten im Zimmer dann) , Bad sehr stinkig und nicht sonderlich sauber, Lage können wir nicht direkt beurteilen jedoch vom Zentrum recht weit entfernt. Betten sehr eng aneinander, kaum Privatsphäre, Ventilator teilweise direkt über dem Bett, Klimaanlage konnten wir nicht ausstellen

It was okay, therer were a few random bugs in our room but if you do not have a problem with that it should be okay. In general the room is nothing special. yoj can walk to the crocodile or elephant rock from the hostel which is nice but besides that everything is quite a bit away :/

The hostel has a really great social atmosphere and a really cool skatepark, they do popular and fun events and the staff is super nice and helpful, they answered all the question we had and were very helpful. They also have a handful of services. The room that we got didn’t have curtains (even tho it showed curtains on the pictures when we booked) and there was frequently a strong weird smell in our dorm (might have been a guest tho).

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht wie dieses Hostel so viele positive Bewertungen bekommen hat. Als ich angekommen bin war ich regelrecht geschockt. Obwohl auf den Bilder gezeigt wird, dass die Betten Vorhänge haben sind keine Vorhänge vorhanden, kein eigener Lichtschalter am Bett also Gruppenentscheidung ob Licht an oder aus. Badezimmer war voll mit Käfern, ein Dorm hatte nicht mal eine AC. Bettdecken sind nur Laken und super klein. Und Matratzen super dünn. Atmosphäre ist in Ordnung. Lage sc...

After seeing so many reviews we were excited to stay here. But I’m not sure I could recommend it and we actually checked out early. The staff were not helpful or friendly (not sure if it was because we didn’t skate / surf) but we didn’t even know who worked there. The bed dorms are weird and you end up sleeping next to a stranger as the beds are soo close together & the bathroom was pretty dirty. The wifi worked & they had air con. Which was good & not too far from the centre.

Such a good hostel! Staffs are amazing! i was feeling like home! Looking forward to come back to visit them :D Very clean, very good rooms, amazing vibes!

Crazy good hostel! Pros: - super social, was solotravelling, met tons of fun people - skaterbowl - staff working will teach you to surfskate - cheap surfboard rental - good deals for tucktucks taking you to the different beaches - very friendly staff, have lots of good advice on surrounding beaches Cons: - sell no beer in hostel Neutral: - little outside of town (15" walk - they clearly mention this), can be a bit of a hassle, but also brings people together Can recommend it fully hearted!

A great team, always smiling and ready to help. The rooms are nice with a large bathroom. The common areas are cool, just a little far from the main street.

Sehr nettes Personal. Die Anlage war sehr cool. Leider lag das Hostel etwas außerhalb, weshalb man sich immer ein TukTuk holen musste.

Love this hostel!! Great atmosphere, great people, very helpful and friendly staff, nice beds and a big common room area where everyone habgs out an skates and plays ping pong or games. The staff explain the skating to you and they take you on surfing trips. Great stay. Thank you, Hangten team!!!

Nice people and cool skating!

Hostel was super fun, workers were all amazing. The private room didn’t have a working shower or wifi while we stayed is my only complaint. But it is a wonderful place to socialise

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are great, it’s layed back and social. Not far from town or the beach. Food and drinks are good rooms are comfortable and tidy. The lil skatepark is great fun once the sun in down. Perfect!! Only thing missing was beers 😂

I really enjoyed my time in Hangten SurfSkate Hostel – I honestly have nothing to complain about. The staff and the people around were all super lovely, the vibe was great and I felt really comfortable there. I was very happy and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I loved my experience at Hangten. It has the perfect balance of social and peaceful/chill, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!

i had an awesome stay here, even extended it. very kind and helpful staff! had a fun surfskate lesson. to the city center it's either a 20min walk or a 400rs tuktuk. clear rooms and bathrooms.
