Really good hostel to stay in siargao. Lots of social events and in a good area. Comfy beds with curtains and lockers
Planned to stay for only three nights and ended up staying 11! The facilities, atmosphere, staff, beds are amazing. Charlotte and Floor were the best reps ever and made everyone feel so included and took us to the best local spots, they really made the whole experience. Huge shoutout to them!
Very social hostel, lots of events every night and the social reps were very good at getting everyone involved. Nikki was especially great. The rooms and facilities were clean. I would definitely recommend to stay here if your looking for a social hostel.
I enjoyed the common area and having a place to meet others. Rooms were clean but bathrooms were disappointing and never felt very clean. Staff was great, Shawn in training was super helpful. Easy to rent a bike/laundry/anything you need right at reception. It is a bit far from anything so you need to be able to ride a bike or be prepared to pay for Tuktuks everywhere. I’d happily stay here again!
Great hostel and staff. thanks to Gelo Anthony and them man, Jonathan, Vincent, Albert, Ging, Aris, Justin, Trisha, Karen, Joy, BEN, Shon, Craven, Nikki the best rep ever, Floor, Hannah, JJ, Andrea, Lea, Paul
This was by far the best hostel I stayed at throughout 5 months in SE Asia. The drinks were good, food was great, people were awesome, all the events were a blast. No doubt in my mind I’ll be back. Also a huge thanks to Floor and Charlotte for being awesome reps.
I enjoyed my stay in Rucksack so much that i extended stay for another 7 days. Good quality of the rooms and facilities. Special thanks to Nikki, Floor and Charlotte for taking care of the activities and helping the guests out.
Good hostel. The volunteers were lovely especially Nikki. She was really friendly and made an effort.
Good hostel in Siargao with super friendly staff. Good location!
Spent 6 nights at Rucksack and had an amazing time. I wish I could have stayed longer! The staff work so hard to keep the whole place clean & guests happy. Cheap drinks 😊 Special shoutout to the reps Floor & Charlotte who made sure everyone was having a great time and organised the best nights, including an incredible kings day event 🇳🇱. Really social if you get involved in the events etc. Defo recommend renting a scooter from the hostel as well as it makes it super easy to get around
Ein rundum perfektes Hostel! Sehr groß, sozial und besitzt ein Pool, Volleyballplatz sowie eigenes Restaurant!! Perfekt um Kontakte zu knüpfen
A very social hostel with something happening every night. There were always volunteer reps around including everyone, especially Nikki who was wonderful company! At times, I felt the paid staff were dismissive and did not seem very willing to help when there was something that went wrong.
Absolutely loved my stay here, was there for 9 nights and could’ve easily done another 9. Hostel itself was great but the staff made it even better especially floor and Charlotte who were so much fun every night! Will 100% be back
Nikki best rep in the gaff welcoming proper g come here deffo
I spent three nights at Rucksack Hostel, and my experience was a bit mixed, mainly because of the atmosphere. It’s not bad in itself, but it didn’t really match the kind of travel experience I was looking for. The vibe felt very “UK-style,” with not much interaction between guests — at least, that was my experience. That said, the place is clean, well maintained, and quite large, which gives it a bit of a “factory-like” feel rather than a cozy, family-style hostel. The staff are...
I had an exceptional stay at Rucksack Inn Siargao, largely due to Floor and Charlotte. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine attentiveness create an exceptionally welcoming and inclusive environment. They consistently go above and beyond, demonstrating remarkable dedication in ensuring every guest feels comfortable and engaged. Their positive energy and organizational efforts significantly enhance the overall experience. Albert and Shayne at the bar also contribute greatly to the atmosphere
Nice big hostel. everything was good, but had 2 things that can be improved. the soap in the whole hostel is just water with a weird smell. Also at 18.30 we wanted to play beer pong with a group, but that was not possible because it didn't was beepong night? we needed to wait till 20.30 till the activity from that day started. was a little weird. also the swimming pool is not the cleanest. the beanbags next to the swimming pool are almost all molded because it is getting wet every day. no sunbed.
Very comfy and fun stay. It's a party hostel for sure, but everybody is heading out around 22.00 anyhow. The beds were some of the most comfy I've had. Toilets and showers could need a liftup imo, especially in the smaller dorms. Still not the end of the world. Also want to say thank you to Aj, Angel, Shon, Charlotte& Floor(amazing volunteers) Elmer, Albert and Vincent, for taking great care of me and others. Will definitely come back, thanks guys!
Could not leave this place, I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 3 weeks! After 16 months of travel this has been my favorite place. The reps Charlotte and Floor are doing great work to keep the guests happy and the events fun and social. The beds are comfy and if you ride a bike the location is pretty good. Would recommend this hostel.
It’s a good hostel just not worth the price. The dorm rooms and the communal toilets & showers smelled so bad. The 10 a.m checkout and 3 p.m check in is really frustrating, I understand it’s a massive hostel but my room was still not ready at 3. I also would not recommend the restaraunt at the hostel, it’s really expensive for not great quality or service. I liked the social aspect of the hostel and location was good. It’s definitely not a bad hostel but I think there’s better in Siarg...
