Pas de wifi dans la chambre. Toutes les Toilettes très très sales avec très souvent pas de papier et des papiers souillés partout autour des toilettes. Personnel correct au minimum sauf femmes de ménage très souriantes. Clients très souvent sans sourire rendu.

Me and my friend chose this hostel both because of the location, and because cards were accepted. This turned out to be false. We were met by a volunteer, who almost only spoke french, which made things even more difficult. We spend 15 minutes trying to make her call her manager. When she eventually called her, we got met by a person, who made entirely our problem. After all this we finally got our room. Then the fridge, cooker and door didn't work... and a waterpipe bursted. We don't recomend!!

L’équipement est complet, l’hébergement est sympa et convivial. Il est placé proche du centre et des commodités. Le petit déjeuner est léger, il n’y a pas de réassort en fonction des horaires. Il a fait très froid dans la chambre, les draps et la couette proposé sont fin et ont une matière étrange. De plus il n’y a pas d’endroit où se garer, il faut stationner dans le parking payant en contre bas.

Sadly, wouldn’t recommend. Maybe your experience will be different when visiting in busier months. However, the bathrooms were very dirty for all of our stay, the showers moldy and the kitchen barely usable. The staff wasn’t welcoming either and didn’t make an effort to get to know the guests or encourage socializing (e.g. through game nights, trivia,…). Felt like they were there for the free accommodation and that’s it. Pretty uncomfortable for all of our stay. Dorms were good quali...

A lot of minor things made this stay just annoying. No lockers, two bathrooms didn’t lock, some showers didn’t work. Most areas were clean while other haven’t seen cleaning for a while. The hostel staff is just volunteers and one extra person who’s preparing breakfast and does some basic cleaning. The common areas are amazing and the atmosphere been very social.

when the volunteers in a hostel make themselves feel like guests, the end result is strange. it was pouring with rain, and the the only indoor shared room was fully occupied by the volunteers. they were apathetic and uninterested. the social atmosphere was therefore very bad and cliquey. the albanian lady who runs the place is lovely. breakfast is nice. but a lazy apathetic approach by the volunteers, more interested in making themselves feel lile guests, leaves a bad impression.

Arrived and left within an hour as it the dorm was very hot (no aircon) and smelly with only one ladder for three bunkbeds

Amazing hostel! Beautiful clean and high quality stay! Everything you could want from a hostel, breakfast, social spaces, quiet areas, lockers, and amazing staff! The canyon tours are run by the hostel too and they are so fun! Cannot recommend this place enough!

10/10 experience at this wonderful hostel. Location and views are great and the staff is super friendly too. Many events offered by hostel in the evening or activities during the day. What I liked the most though was the atmosphere, it’s a perfect place to meet other travellers and plan day trips with them. The included breakfast was also nice, I just wish there would be a protein option, like peanut butter for exemple. I would 100% stay there again

A cute little gem in Berat, in a very cosy house, and great garden. I imagine during summer there’s a great ambiance. In April it was very calm and chill, had some great chats with the volunteers. Great personnel and lovely place! I do recommend you stay here when in Berat :)

Amazing hostel, warm atmosphere and free breakfast is delicious! The hostel location in is a five minute walk away from the city centre shops. The hostel is clean and tidy and staff are very helpful. Trivia night was so much fun and there’s nice outside spaces to sit, and kitchen has everything you need. Highly recommend this hostel.

Amazing location, it’s located atop the beautiful village and is only 5 minute walk away from center. The staff and volunteers were so welcoming and helpful and took us on there amazing tours like rafting and wine tour, could not recommend enough. The guides were funny yet still kept everything safe and professional. The utilities are great with two kitchens and breakfast every morning with traditional food like byrek. I loved my stay here and will definitely be back one day

This place has amazing atmosphere, is super clean and comfortable, and has very welcoming staff. And not to mention it is in a great location. If you’re looking for a place in Berat Berat Backpackers is a place I would definitely recommend.

A beautiful older building in a great part of Berat. Being only a short walk to both the castle puts it in an ideal location, and I love the free breakfast. But what puts this place over the top is the staff, they were so warm, helpful and attentive, and I had such a great time with them. The manager was especially great, really going above and beyond to make my stay great.

Fantastic hostel with a great social vibe. The outdoor area is amazing. The hostel is up on a mountain and the outdoor area overlooks the town, beautiful view! And a great place to meet and hang out with other guests. The volunteers were friendly and always helpful, they created a great atmosphere. The hostel was clean, well maintained and had good facilities. Curtains on the beds was a plus! The breakfast was great too. Would definitely stay here again.
