Toc Hostel Madrid

I was robbed at this hostel! I had never experienced that level of insecurity in several other hostels I stayed in different countries. Staff told me by regulation no cameras are allowed at bedroom and that there every kind of people entering and leaving everyday. Someone took something that had immaterial value for me and unfortunately there was nothing the TOC could do to help. Maybe having a more restrictive kind of background checking would prevent people with bad intentions to stay.

Muy decepcionado. Hice una reserva por 3 noches, con mis dos hijos de 21 y 17 años. Me cobraron el adelanto (U$S 300) y cuando me fui a alojar, me dijeron que mi hijo menor de 17 años no podía ingresar. Me dejaron en Madrid en la calle con mis hijos. No me devolvieron el depósito de U$S 300 y me arruinaron la estadía en Madrid, teniendo que salir a buscar alojamiento y pagar cifras irrisorias. Realmente no lo recomiendo. Argentinos tengan cuidado con las cláusulas encubiertas!!!

If you are taller than 1.85cms this place is not for you, the beds are designed for people shorter than that... The sleeping times are not respected either.... There was a lady at 4am using the air blower after the recepcionist said is ok to borrow...like en serio???

Me alojé en la habitación de 6 (número 104). Había lockers para todas las camas pero tenés que llevar tu propio candado y tampoco te prestan uno. El baño estaba aceptable pero podría estar más limpio y tenía olor. La cama era cómoda pero no había ni una cortina ni nada para tener un poco más de privacidad y tenía alguien en frente que durmió con la luz prendida de su cubículo. Me pareció caro para lo que ofrece. Solo se justifica por la ubicación.

They charge for bag storage ! And also for towels. More like a hotel atmosphere even though there is a common kitchen. Social area does not stay open all night, they will ask guests to leave. Also the day I was there the social/bar area was closed until 15:00 for a private event, only an area with tables and the kitchen were available.

We needed to leave this hostel bc it is really dirty. There is dust and dirt in the whole room & a lot (!!!) of hairs and dust in the shower. We told this the reception + showed pics, they told us the room will get cleaned the next day - it never happened. It looks like it hasn’t been clean for weeks! Another point - me as a woman felt unsafe and uncomfortable in the mixed dorm bc the showers and bathrooms are see thru and have no locks!!!

Dirty vents. I had a disappointing experience at this hostel. This was the worst hostel experience I’ve had.Two of the staff members seemed unaware of how to interact politely with guests. They appeared indifferent, dismissive, and lacked empathy. If you care about hygiene, have any allergies, or expect basic respect, think twice before booking TOC Hostel Madrid.

No curtains, not social. Felt more like a hotel. The day I checked out they would only store my bags for a fee. Would not stay again. I stayed at the newton 2060 before I checked into TOC and I would definitely go back there.

Todo espectacular. Desde la bienvenida hasta la despedida. Alojé con mi mamá de 55 años en una de las habitaciones compartidas mixta y la verdad que nos fue súper súper bien. conocimos gente y no las pasamos super. La ubicación es PERFECTO, el lugar mejor de Madrid donde alojarse. La limpieza impecable. Super seguro y todo muy hermoso. Lo único que podría decir se puede mejorar son las camas. Poner unas cortinas para dar más privacidad a la hora de dormir seguro vendría super bien a mu...

Las habitaciones mixtas con ducha transparente?? Entiendo que en Madrid son muy liberales, pero y los turistas? No me agradó que la cocina no la podías usar, solo horno y refri, de ahí en más el lugar es muy lindo

El sitio está muy bien, cuidado, bonito, limpio y bien ubicado. Personalmente no me esperaba que no hubiera cortinas en las camas cuando es algo que he visto en todos los hostels que he visitado hace años. Es algo clave para la privacidad, y mucho más si se trata de habitaciones mixtas. Una pequeña mejora que haría toda la diferencia. De la misma forma que las duchas integradas en las habitaciones no tienen ningún tipo de separación entre hombres y mujeres como para poder cambiarse.

I had a pleasant stay thanks to Arthur and Caesar. However, things that I found irritating were hygiene in the Bathroom, quiet hours and not having a curtain for personal privacy! Everytime I had to go to bathroom, some guests go inside, do their thing and left kaka or pee on the toilets and floor, it was absolutely gross. Some guests were also very loud even if I asked them to be little quiet, so I had to complain. If rules were more respected, it would be better for all of us. Gracias

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einem beeindruckenden Gebäude. Das Personal ist auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei allem. Nur die anderen Hostelgäste waren manchmal ein wenig unverschämt, indem nachts die Türen geknallt werden oder morgens um 3 Uhr der Koffer gepackt wird bei hellem Licht. Man sollte sich drauf einstellen, dass die Gäste oft nur für eine Nacht bleiben und daher immer viel los ist in den Räumen.

location is great, no real hostel atmosphere.

Ottima posizione centrale e buona atmosfera. Nonostante sia situato così nel centro, rimane tranquillo e silenzioso. Colazione molto buona, ricca e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Unico neo un po’ la pulizia e i servizi. Nella stanza femminile da 6 c’era un solo bagno ed una sola doccia. Inoltre, anche se gli armadietti sono spaziosi non ci sono altri spazi per poter appendere cose, ad esempio i cappotti.

Très bien dans l'ensemble GROS bémol, je me suis retrouvée dans une chambre mixte où il n’y avait pas de verrou pour la douche et toilette! De plus, ce sont des vitres teintées...

Nice location, a lovely hostel, and very friendly staff. I’m happy that I chose this hostel, and if I return to Madrid, I will definitely stay here again.

Le falta ventilación a las habitaciones. Fuera de eso, muy limpio con buena energía y un personal predispuesto a ayudar . En algunos momentos el hostel puede ser demasiado juvenil con adolescentes de viaje

The location is incredible. The staff super nice and friendly. The cleaning is not the best, my bedsheets were dirty. Not very social, they have a pool table which is nice.

The location is so central it is unbelievable! You are right at the heart of Madrid. However, this does mean it can get noisy outside at night. The hostel building is stunning with a huge old staircase, retro style central lift and painted murals on the ceiling of the kitchen/bar area. The bedrooms seemed very modern and the beds were comfy.

Great interiors!! Comfort bed and sleep.
