Uluwatu Surf Hostel

DO NOT STAY HERE. Stayed here for two nights, me and two others got robbed of all our cash during the night whilst we were asleep with our bags next to our heads by someone staying in our room, the hostel owner did not help us and did not care. The A/C was really weak so it was hot during the night. There was little privacy in the dorm with staff constantly in there without knocking.

3 people in our room were robbed & the hostel did nothing! we suspect it was a man in our room who climbed into our beds at night, and the host just shrugged, wouldn’t check the cctv and said we couldn’t file a police report. the rooms are really warm as the AC was very weak. the top bunks don’t have a ladder attached so feel a bit unsafe to climb up and down. the staff come in & out of the room constantly without knocking.

really nice place to stay, the sanataries are clean, the owner really nice and helpful and the Hostel quiet but at a Perfect location in arugam bay. Highly recommend, we‘d come back:)

Everything else was really good, but the ac is just too weak. Upper beds are probably around 26-28 celcius so way too hot.

Wir waren in einem 20 Betten Raum und es war wirklich sehr gut. Wir hatten Vorhänge am Bett, sodass man trotzdem Privatsphäre hatte. Die Toiletten und Duschen waren draußen, was wir super fanden. Es war sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Hosts haben sich super um uns gekümmert. Als wir krank waren haben sie für uns Medikamente besorgt usw… Das Hostel ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Not great - room is boiling despite there being aircon as it barley reaches the other side of the room especially if your on top bunk, the ladders to get to top bunk aren’t attached so that’s scary and a bit dangerous, the wifi is bad and just suddenly cut off and they said it would take a day to turn back on and the staff were rather rude in my opinion, wouldn’t recommend

Stayed for 2 weeks. Really helpful staff, 24/7 available if you need anything they will be there. The swipe the floor at least 10 times a day and there is a nice pizza place next to it. There are way worse options in Arugam Bay, this was a welcome surprise. Hostel is brand new too. Highly recommend!

Simple but nice hostel in Arugam bay, not really social vibes but the dorm was great actually and the beds were super comfy!

all staff are super friendly and helpfull. Location is great near the main road and the beach. I stayed in the hostel dorm, wich is near the hangingout area, so it was a bit noisy to sleep, but i had earplugs. Bathroom areas are outdoors, pretty, clean and working nice, i higly recomend to stay here and i would stay again in the future

a hostel with lots of privacy because of the facilities, not really a social community, so if you need a little more privacy still wanna stay in a hostel thats a good place, they just opened when i arrive - the owner really helped me out whatever i needed ( fridge, towels, information) They don’t really have a kitchen but a place where you can put your stuff. Flexible but also reliable!
