Meera Homestay

i booked Meera homestay to get a homestay experience however upon reaching I was met with a rude and difficult person. he asked me to walk to a different hotel nearby and when I asked I paid for it he said you now go and fimd another. bad experience

My stay was ok, the place is good for an overnight stay but wouldn’t stay for longer. Was a bit weird vibe, only two rooms and the owner always tried selling me stuff. The owner went into my room and fixed something with the room, but when I came back there was this weird smell that were there for the rest of my stay. He also recommended me a driver that tried to scam me for a guide, which I guess isn’t his fault but still.

Mixed feelings The first Room we had was super nice and clean. Unfortunately we had to change rooms mid stay (2days) and the second room was not comfortable smelled bad and had mold. The owner and staff was very welcoming and served one of the best foods we have eaten so far. However he tried to rent overpriced bikes to us and tried to sell us trips (Mihinitale and Safari) quite overpriced. The same offers are cheaper in the city and online (Hostelworld events).

We had such a great time at this hostel! It's clean, comfortable, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. The manager was super friendly and always ready to help - sometimes a bit too eager, but really kind and caring. Overall, we felt very at home and would definitely stay here again!

This was a nice place. The owner is very helpful and friendly. He arranged a tour for us around the city. I would recommend a stay here.

We were three people and paid 7 euros for a night in total. The hostel was really nice and Mohamed was really kind. He gave us lots of advice and even organized a tuk tuk tour to see all the temples for a very fair price. I would highly recommend especially for that price.

A very welcoming homestay! The room was very comfortable, the bathroom’s hot water was wonderful, and the breakfast was very filling. The host is also very knowledgeable about the area and provided aome great advice!

Ho trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole in questo homestay! Tutto è stato perfetto: la struttura è accogliente e ben tenuta, il cibo ottimo, e il proprietario è stato gentile, disponibile e accogliente.

Muhammed is a very friendly host, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The location is perfect for visiting the city and temples by bike which Muhammed provided for us. I definitely recommend !

Really nice stay and really nice staff :)
