The Light Hostel

Das warme Wasser ging in meinem zimmer nicht. Ich musste dort duschen, wo die Mitarbeiter die Wäsche machen und Putzmittel verstauen. Auch der Pool war nicht der sauberste

I had a lovely experience at the light hotel it was always very clean and breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make guests happy!

De accommodatie was leuk het personeel kon ik goed mee overweg en waren zeer sociaal. Ik heb echt een leuke tijd gehad zelfs toen ik te laat was voor het ontbijt (wat schijnbaar inbegrepen was) lieten ze mij gewoon de keuken in en kon ik nog ontbijt pakken. Helaas was ik wel buitengesloten op het dakterras, maar anderen hebben mij geholpen waardoor dit goed is opgelost.

Not the best stay, location wasn’t ideal, getting washing done here was awful, everything came back in exactly the same state and stinking of damp. Staff weren’t very helpful, pretty poor stay overall but the breakfast was pretty good

was not impressed by this hostel at all. It is a hotel with hostel dorms in the basement area. I had a mouldy pillow and the bathrooms are wet rooms, so everything just gets wet. Was very cheap to stay here but nothing like the pictures. Was not impressed with ha long bay in general. Would give the whole area a miss and just do a day trip for the river cruise. Staff were lovely, but sadly would not recommend to stay here unless you get a private room, private rooms looked good, dorms are awful.

The pool is damaged and not in use at the moment, and the boat tour of the bay booked through the hostel didnt feel safe because of a member of staff on the tour. However, the hostel itself was fantastic and the staff were brilliant and very helpful and friendly. If I come back to Halong I'll stay here again.

Hôtel très bien! Cependant ce serait bien de préciser si la piscine est en travaux car j’avais choisi cette auberge pour ça…

The staff is super nice. Things were damaged because of the typhoon and it's amazing how they were able to re open very quickly. Yet my dorm was downstairs and the humidity was insane. I wouldn't say the dorm was super cleaned too.

This is more like a 1* or 2* hotel rather than a hostel. Large hotel. Central location. The bed and luggage security was excellent. Air con in room. The bathroom was fairly unclean (cigarette butts and dirt++ were on the sill above the wash basin), and the shower was cold water only. The pool was great. The staff were great (A+). The breakfast was free, and very nice. The staff organized a major bus trip for me for a great price. Thank you.

Really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Really clean rooms, comfy beds, good buffet breakfast and lovely pool. Not in the greatest location though.

the hostel and its facilities were great. the location not so much. there’s not much food around or anything to do in the city. if you’re looking for a more lowkey stay, this is it.

Netjes en schoon hostel, maar geen sfeer. Wel een pooltafel maar weinig gezelligheid in de algemene ruimte
