Very rundown guesthouse that is in dire need of an upgrade. It’s old and muffy, from a different age. Sheets did not look clean, towel had stains. It was also not the backpackers/hikers hub I expected. The owners do not speak English and were not helpful at all, not even with bus times to the airport. ‘Laundry service’ meant I was handed back a plastic bag with my wet clothes, which I was directed to hang up to dry myself on the roof. The dog was great though.
The staff are lovely and helpful. They gave me lots of suggestions of possible locations to visit and places to eat at. The kitchen and common area on the rooftop has great views. There is a water filter for refills. The room has AC. I also got a towel which was great. I did not meet any other travellers at this hostel so I did all activities alone. The hostel was lacking in terms of the atmosphere. The hostel is located in a good area for Segowipo.

The female reception person was very helpful and friendly. The decor is very eclectic with heaps of interesting trinkets. The facility is aging.
Overall, we had a fine stay at this hostel. For the price, it did the job - especially as you were given towels free of charge which you could change daily. Bed and bathroom were clean, however shared kitchen upstairs was very dirty and we were told we weren’t allowed to use the kitchen downstairs for our cooking (which was much cleaner). Other than that, staff were friendly, the hostel was quiet and ideal for what we were looking for.

La chica de recepción es maravillosa, te ayuda en todo y te da buenas recomendaciones de dónde comer y cómo desplazarte. Para ella un 10/10 !
The hostel is good, the rooms a little old with a particular decoration, it's different, a little old. No noise, it's well located and safe. It's clean. The receptionist is wonderful, she helps you with everything and gives you good recommendations of where to eat and how to get around. For her a 10/10 !
We've felt very welcome and comfortable at Gudeok, with all it's curious and strange little figurines, lovely Deoki the dog sleeping in the corner, and the kind staff advising us on hiking Mount Halla. We will remember them fondly and wish them nothing but the best.

Very welcoming hostel, except for the travelers who don't even say hello😕. kind and welcoming hosts. nice neighborhood. someone came back into the room to tell us to close the window 🤔 recommended anyway
Good area to use as jumping off point for touring Jeju island. Nicely located in Seogwipo a 7 min walk from Cheonjeyeon waterfalls and a 20 min walk from Jeongbang waterfalls. I got a single private room that was nice with an ensuite washroom and a mini fridge. Met a few other people there but not too many. Kitchen is available and served my purposes enough.
Had a good stay at the Guesthouse ! Nothing particularly special, but a good price and well located within Seogwipo. Breakfast is 3000 won but is just sliced bread and an egg you cook yourself. Terrace and rooms were nice, but humid and the AC wasn’t super effective. Overall fine for 2 night stay on Jeju :)

Very nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions and good restaurants. Dog was cute. Would recommend.
Awesome balcony view!
We stayed for five nights. Everything was good and we loved the atmosphere and decoration. The staff were kind and welcoming. The optional breakfast was not special, so we only took it one morning. Overall, we had a great time.
Really great guesthouse in Seogwipo - loved having a comfy single room with aircon, TV & bathroom. Everything was clean and worked - don’t come expecting modern and fancy experience, you are paying for a traditional and trustworthy guesthouse in a small town. The workers here are lovely and helpful and I would definitely stay again in the future :)

Convenient, functional guesthouse for those who wish to stay in Seogwipo. Guesthouse is close to bus stops and can serve as the base for day trips around the island. Room was spacious and cosy.
The place was extremely quaint and affordable for what it was. There was a beautiful view from the rooftop and it was close to everything you would want to see in Seogwipo. The staff were also very friendly.

I loved my stay at Gudeok! I arrived with a niche medical concern and they went above and beyond to help me find a medical specialist, even calling around to check availability if I turned up. You can moderate how involved or solo you are - after weeks of hostels I enjoyed some seclusion for the same price as a dorm. A lovely location to get lost in nature. Thanks for having me!!!

Great little family run guesthouse. The owners were so friendly and helpful with everything.
The room is exactly as it has been described. I love how close it is to a lot of attractions. It's a quiet neighborhood as well. The host was very friendly and gave me a lot of great food suggestions!❤ I would love to rent a room there again when I go back to Jeju.❤
