Staff not social Bed was comfy No aircon

One of the worst hostels we’ve been to. Zero security, never had to use a key. Beer bottle, toothpaste and razor found in bed. You’d think those things would have been found if the sheets get cleaned. It’s pretty far from the action if that’s your vibe, just wasn’t ours. We did go in low season but found the most social it got was sitting with 30 year old men smoking and drinking all day. Wasn’t a good fit for us.

I wish it was mentioned there was only 1 toilet! The beds were comfortable and it was overall a chill hostel. Friendly enough but not a lot do to

Good hostel, although there are not as many common spaces to chill/sit besides the one picnic table as the photos make it seem. Good beds and really nice staff. The dorm was quite small and not on the same floor as the bathrooms. I appreciated the free breakfast

Had a nice stay here! Its really out of the centre imo, but the hostel itself is nice especially for a hostel that hasnt been around for that long. The beds are amazingly comfy and its really convenient to rent a scooter from here. I did think the room was too crowded.

Beds were sooo comfy. And staff were really kind. Not a very social vibe however and I was expecting a nicer garden given the hostel name lol. There’s not much to do in Chiang Rai but hostel is good at organising day trips

Really nice hostel! Great facilities with a pool table, badminton court, lots of outdoor seating, food and bar etc. The vibe was good but felt slightly cliquey at times because the volunteers were all friends. More of a drinking hostel than chill but if that’s what you’re into, you’ll fit in fine! Overall a good stay with very helpful staff.

Great social hostel! Not too party centric, but one big table in the garden to encourage conversation, and nightly activities. The volunteers were all amazing, and truly made it a great stay. They helped make the slow boat to Laos painless, and I met so many people taking the boat with me. Beds are also very comfy memory foam. Definitely recommend!

J’ai passé un chouette moment dans cet hostel. Le personnel parle français et m’ont super gentillement accueillie. L’hostel se situe près du centre, beaucoup de choses peuvent se faire à pied ou en scooter.

Loveeeeeed this hostel! The vibes were great, super social with the volunteers organising day trips for everyone:) the facilities were also great and the bed were soooo comfy

Je recommande! Vibe sociable et endroit superbe! Le staff de l’hostel organisent des daytrips et ils nous recommandent les trucs à faire à Chiang Rai. Un autre point positif, les lits sont super confortable! Book it

Best hostel ever!!! I went back for the second time and will definitely go back again. The atmosphere is so familiar that it feels like home. So many things to do, staff and owners are amazing people ✨

Hostel plus que chaleureux ! Une team qui sait faire vivre le lieux. Le staff a toujours de bons conseils pour rendre le séjours agréable ! Des dortoirs spacieux et des lits plus que confortables (the best in SE Asia probably). L’hostel est proche de tout, pratique (restaurants, cafes, markets,…) Je reviendrai :)

Cet hostel fait partie d’un de mes préférés parmi tout ceux que j’ai fait en Thaïlande. Le personnel est adorable et super arrangeant. Très social: il y a toujours quelqu’un dans l’espace commun, que ce soit guest ou volontaires. Des daytrip sont organisés et aussi des activités le soir. Et surtout: les lits sont tellement confortables. Des vrais matelas bien mous, avec 2 oreillers. Bref je recommande !

Le meilleur hostel de Chiang Rai! Dès mon arrivée, tout les guests ont ouvert la conversation. Ambiance relax et sociale, les lits sont hyper confo et nous avons deux oreillers par lits… Ouep c’est le meilleur!

Vraiment tout était parfait. Si vous cherchez un hostel safe, avec des gens sympas pour visiter la région, c'est ici qu'il faut venir. Tout le monde est très gentil, on peut y faire la fête comme y rester au calme et le staff est super arrangeant. Ils sont aux petits soins pour vous aider et donner des conseils. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The beds are amazing with two nice pillows. The staff are great, all are very friendly and helpful (shoutout Alejandro). They organize fun activities every day from group trips to the soccer stadium to motorbike rides up to the mountains. The vibe is very social, something fun to do with the group every night. But it’s not a “party” hostel, you can get a good nights sleep. I planned three nights, ended up staying for eight. Can’t ask anything more from ...

Social Garden ist ein wirklich schöner Ort. Wenn man ankommt, wird man direkt herzlich begrüßt und aufgenommen. Das Hostel ist super sauber, die Betten Ultra gemütlich und der große Tisch im Garten lässt einen ganz schnell Kontakte knüpfen. Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit im Social Garden und werde bestimmt wieder kommen!!

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!! The vibes are amazing, there’s such a warm, family-like atmosphere. You meet so many people as soon as you arrive, and they organize day trips to explore the beautiful and wild areas around Chiang Rai! In the evenings, they put together lots of fun activities to do together! And an important note: absolutely the best bed I have ever found!! I will definitely come back — I already can’t wait 🤩
