Don’t trust in the stars guys. It is not the best place for staying. You can make lots of friends there. But is because the place is very small and you don’t have a lot of space, you can find lots of better places for that price
Some staff are quite unfriendly, no space in the rooms and a bit dirty

Location is okay, don’t seem to have quiet hours. No privacy curtains? Constantly male staff in the female bathroom without warning. Not cool
The AC in my room didn’t work two nights in a row, leaving me too warm to sleep even in just my underwear with no covers on. I asked for it to be fixed but the one volunteer working could not fix it. The hostel enforces weird rules in the room, such as, you cannot hang your towel from your bed. Where are you meant to dry your towel? I do not know. The hostel common area was dominated by French and Spanish speakers, which is fine but something for English speakers to be aware of.
Cleanliness and facilities were great, staff were extremely rude. There’s a WhatsApp group chat for events that you can join, but the staff just use it to scold residents. All of your stuff must be on your bed or locker (which were quite small), otherwise if anything is on the floor they’d send a picture in the group chat with rude comments about being tidy/having to pay a fine. They wouldn’t give a polite warning first. Rude staff, felt like a prison🤪 facilities were good though.
This hostel has the worst and rudest staff ever, trying to fine me for water in room, and also took my clothes (600 dollars worth) and took them as even though they were in a corner next to my locker, it was too messy, they've now been given away, pathetic , very similar vibes to a boarding school or hospital ward! Worst hostel in my 2 years travelling
Staff took personal belongings because they thought it’s too messy in the room. No go for my- can’t recommend that hostel.
Despite “air conditioning,” rooms are still hot and you wake up sweating. The hostel is very overcrowded.. common areas and the kitchen are far too small. Difficult to find a place to eat. Male bathrooms don’t match the photos and are run down. Only two washers and dryers for the whole place. Told off for hanging clothes on bed despite no hangers. No Late checkout, instead is charged at a full night. Clean overall, nice bathroom music, but poor value and a cash-grab vibe.
I am well travelled and have spent months in hostels traveling the world, so trust my review. Don’t come to this hostel if you want to have a comfortable mattress or night of sleep. the matress felt like sleeping on actual wood. I felt really bad when I heard that people are long term stayers at this place because the beds are really the worst part. Not super social and solo traveler friendly overall. Wouldn’t sadly recommend this place. The guy at the reception was amazing tho!

Nate’s Place is a really good Hostel just outside the CBD. The Place is very clean and the staff is nice and always helpful, shout out to Doro who always helps you with what you need.
Allgemein ein echt gutes Hostel, nur die Küche ist leider viiiieeeeel zu klein für so viele Backpacker…. Zusätzlich ist das Badezimmer meistens überflutet, weil die Duschen leider nicht besonders klug konstruiert wurden. Aber ansonsten alles tiptop :)
Overall an echt gutes Hostel, only the Kitchen is too small for so many Backpackers....In addition the Bathroom is usually overflowed, because the Showers were not particularly cleverly constructed.
Great location, close to everything you need, comfortable bed, super clean. Bathrooms were cleaned multiple times per day. As others have mentioned, it’s primarily long-term guests, so it’s tough to connect when you’re just passing through (the hostel staff organize weekly events to help everyone meet each other though!).
I had a great experience at this hostel. It’s a warm and welcoming place, especially ideal if it’s your first time in Sydney. Doro, one of the managers, is amazing. She was always very kind, attentive, and willing to help with anything needed, which really makes a difference. The staff is friendly and diverse, and there’s always someone available if you need anything. Great location and very clean. Definitely a good option in Sydney.

Hostel con buenas vibras, se mantiene limpio y staff muy simpatico y con ganas de ayudar. Hay actividades todo los dias (al menos durante el verano). La única limitación son los espacios comunes: son un poco chicos, pueden ser ruidosos y hay muchas escaleras. Tampoco hay sillas cómodas sino solo bancos. Estaría bueno que la cocina tenga platos de ceramica en lugar de plásticos que pueden quedar sucios o aceitosos. Aparte de eso super recomendado, es la segunda vez que vengo.
Hostel with good vibes, keeps clean and staff very friendly and willing to help. there are activities every day (at least during the summer). the only limitation is the common areas: they are a little small, can be noisy and there are many stairs. there are also no comfortable chairs but only benches. it would be good if the kitchen had ceramic plates instead of plastic ones that can get dirty or oily. besides that super recommended, this is the second time I've been here.

I Had such an amazing stay here! The staff are incredibly friendly and always make you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is just great – very social, fun, and easy to meet new people. They organize really nice activities that bring everyone together, which made my experience even better. Everything is clean and well taken care of, and the rooftop is beautiful. Honestly one of the best places I’ve been so far !!!

Pasé unos días por el Hostel y la verdad quedé muy conforme con todo, desde la buena onda del staff hasta la comodidad, el orden y la limpieza del lugar. Muy cerca del centro y del jardín botánico. Relación precio-calidad perfecta!!
I spent a few days in the Hostel and really was very satisfied with everything, from the good staff to the comfort, order and cleanliness of the place. very close to the center and the botanical garden. perfect price-quality ratio!!
Alles an sich supi, Küche kann nur echt oft voll werden und im Aufenthaltsraum ist es auch zu klein. Für 2-3 Nächte passt es

Showers and bathroom were not clean. Showers especially. The bed was good overall. Staff changed bedding after each guest had left, which was good. Rooftop patio was a nice touch, good place to chill and eat. Was not a social hostel, unless you spoke french or Spanish. Many people likely staying here longer term

Great hostel with a perfect location, close to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. Good social vibe as there is events everyday so was easy to meet people! Would stay again :)
