Hostal Dulces Sueños

Beim Checkin hieß es, ich sei vom System woanders eingebucht worden. Dann hieß es, ich solle warten, es müssten erst neue Matratzen kommen (18h). Kurz darauf wurde mir angeboten in einem anderen Haus/Hostel zum selben Preis ein Privatzimmer zu beziehen-dort wisse man Bescheid. Bin also mit Gepäck dorthin, man wollte mir dort kein Privatzimmer sondern nur ein Bett im Dorm geben. Keine Locker, Bad unter Wasser, Kakerlake an der Wand. Bin gegangen und musste für teures Geld anderswo einchecken...

Selon moi, c’est un hostel correct pour passer une nuit, mais il faut savoir qu’on est une vingtaine en dortoir, qu’il y a des odeurs et que les lits mériteraient vraiment d’être remplacés (l’échelle pour monter au mien pendait d’un côté). La terrasse est sympa, le petit-déjeuner est bon et inclus dans le prix.

Établissement bien placé, mais nous avons loué la chambre “privée” avec 5 lits et il n’y avait ni eau chaude, ni wifi, ni gaz et seule la moitié des prises fonctionnait, contrairement à ce qui était promis. Nous avions un petit déjeuner inclus mais l’hôte a refusé de nous servir, et le check out à 12h mais avons été obligé par l’hôte de quitter l’établissement à 11h.

The room was a very large room with many bunkbeds and 2 non-bunk beds. There was no atmosphere to speak of, the staff would not let us leave our bags after we checked out which made walking around before our next journey a bit tough. They did not reply to our email days before asking about this so we went hopeful as most hostels allow this but the man working there said no. You get what you pay for - really loud and cold at night. 6 more beds in the dorms than expected. Breakfast was okay. Maximum one night stay recommend.

Check-in war problematisch, da ich wg einer Flugverspätung eine Nacht später gekommen bin (hatte Bescheid gesagt) - man wollte mich erst nicht vor 15 Uhr einchecken lassen, erst nach längerem Diskutieren. Nur zwei Bäder für zu viele Personen, daher oft Stau. Im Dorm sind mehr Betten als angegeben, außerdem keine gute Ausstattung (keine Vorhänge, Lichter, Steckdosen). You get what you pay for. The accommodation is very basic, there is a kitchen with a stove but otherwise it is rather poorly equipped. My bed looked clean, but otherwise the area is rather uncomfortable and not very inviting for chilling out. However, it is perfectly fine for a one-night stay. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I took a shuttle early in the morning

Die Unterkunft ist sauber und es gibt leckeres Frühstück. der große Schlafsaal bietet zwar keine Privatsphäre, aber für 1 - 2 Nächte ist das ok. Die Zentrale Lage ist super, führt aber dazu, dass es bis spät am Abend und schon früh am Morgen sehr laut ist. Ohropax sind zu empfehlen.

Cheapest hostel I ever been so far,no bunk beds so no curtains for privacy in the share room, breakfast is great for what you pay, friendly staff but wifi very slow:(

Non ce n’est pas un bel hostel, mais pour le prix, on a vraiment tout ce dont on a besoin!

The shower ran for 30 seconds then stopped. It was cold. Breakfast never showed up so I went and bought my own breakfast. Nobody at reception the 3 times I went to ask for something. Staff were very friendly (when you could find them) and the other hostel guests made the stay worthwhile. Good for 1 night. 2 nights would be pushing it.

Estuve en la habitación compartida y a pesar que es bastante sencilla, por el precio vale la pena, aparte te dan un desayuno bastante bueno. El dueño es muy amable y colaborador con lo que necesites. Lo mejor es que está en la avenida Santander (principal) y cerca cerca del embarcadero desde donde puedes ir a los otros pueblos alrededor de el lago.

You get what you pay for. Its super cheap and we had a good stay. The homemade breakfast was rly delicious!

I have stayed here twice now! It is so good for the price, i will stay here if i return again. Good beds, clean and warm. The kitchen is small but workes well. Free breakfast is pankakes with fruit, very generous. Rooftop is spacious but not a view over volcanos. Upstairs shower doesnt work but there is another one! Definetly recomend this place!! Pretty social also.

Bett bequem. Grosses Zimmer. Warme Dusche. Wc sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Küchenausstattung Ok. Wifi gut. Einzig Negative ist, dass das Leintuch beim Schlafen immer vom Bett abkommt. Preis-Leistung ist gut.

This was definitely the cheapest hostel i stayed in. It was not great. The dorm feels more like a sleep over, school trip kind of set-up. A big room filled with normal beds. And there were some water outages. This place is great if you want to save some money.

Great for a cheap stopover before heading out to the lake. Really good value and free breakfast, but not much going on other than that! Nice and clean and felt pretty safe

Good stay for the price & good place to start your Lake Atitlan adventure from. Pancakes & fruit for breakfast. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper as you can hear a lot because it’s on a street lined with shops and restaurants.

Good for 1 night, although there was a weird drunk men in the dorm and he « felt » on me during the night (at 3am). Thanks to another girl in the dorm that asked me if I was ok. Plus, she told me it was the 2nd night he was here and being weird…

En el centro, cerca de la orilla, pero tranquilo a la vez. Dormitorio amplio y todo camas bajas. Pequeña cocina y lugar donde estar con un par de hamacas. Con mucha luz natural.

Small budget hostel to spend couple nights. There is not much space to socialize and no atmosphere, but you can always visit other hostels nearby. The room is big and they have just single bed (not bunk beds) which is nice. Good for the price!

Good hostel for the price point. The staff were very helpful even with our language barrier. The only thing was that our apartment had no electricity when we arrived but it was quickly fixed.
