BED BUGS BED BUGS. I didn’t find out until it was too late. The staff did NOT warn me prior to checking in and when i let them know about the bed bugs all they did was nod at me. No apology or anything
I booked this hostel for the beautiful rooftop for my last evening in Antigua. There was a private event, so we didn’t have access to it. The music was so loud that we couldn’t sleep either. I asked at reception for information about the shuttle to the airport the next morning. The employee told me the departure was at 7:30. In the end, there was a mistake on his schedule with the departure times—the shuttle actually left at 7:00. So I missed it. The bathroom was very dirty too
Dirty bathrooms in dorms. Smelled so bad. Not very helpful... the doors resemble a mega prison, so many bunks for such a high price. I would recommend not staying here. Not worth it at all.
THIS IS A PARTY HOSTEL We paid for an 8 bed dorm and got 10. For 10 beds, there were 6 lockers. This is a bustling restaurant/bar. Right outside our door was a band that played louder than earplugs past 11:30pm. The doors also don’t lock so restaurant visitors could walk in at any point. There is no sense of security or peaceful getaway here, we wish we had known this before our Acatenago hike we wanted to rest before. If you like to party, and don’t mind unlocked rooms without lockers, g...
- It’s a hostel more on the expensive side compared to others in town, so I did have higher expectations than this. - No wifi in bedroom. I spoke numerous times out of the 3 days I was there - they did nothing - Balcony “under maintenance” with them always saying it would open tomorrow, it never did - 30 person dorm with two toilets/showers, always occupied and shared with dinner guests, always busy and dirty - woken up by loud road, bed was rocking because of this too -laundry servi...
Not bad, overpriced and cramped for what u actually get. Staff wernt to friendly either
tl;dr : Gringo Moneybag treatment Good location, clean facilities. Experience was soured by staff interaction. Enquired at the front desk about the cheapest way to Panajachel, staff hard sold me their shuttle service. Asked about local transport and they 3.5x the real price telling me that their shuttle service was practically the same cost. Enquired multiple times as it seemed high, but they held steadfast. Context: Told me that the antigua-panajachel busses were 115q instead of 35q I paid
If you want the experience of sleeping in the corner of a bar, this is the place for you. The dorms are stuffed (3 high bunk beds), with only 1 bathroom, and situaties right next to an open square with very loud (live) music. It’s filled with people from outside the hostel, while the dorm is unlocked so that everyone can just walk in. All that for only 20+ USd.
The place had a nice vibe, rooftop was absolutely beautiful and it’s very pretty but do be expected to be charged for everything and at a high price too. I paid $3 to rent a towel for one night, bit of a joke to be honest. Lovely place and location but you could definitely do better around Antigua
No hostel vibe. It’s a giant restaurant with dorms. I stayed 5 days and always felt like a restaurant guest. I Have friends in Guatemala so i didn’t mind that it wasn’t social but the vibe was still weird. Charging 5$ to leave your stuff for one night unless you book the volcano tour with them sums it up best. The place looks nice and couldn’t have been commercialized better

Excellent facilities, super clean, comfortable bunks and staff is very nice. My only complaint is the loud music at night even when there is no party or anything going on. Great stay tho.
Adra is not a social hostel, seems to be more of a restaurant than anything else. Very loud music plays until late. WiFi didn’t reach my bed, the large dorms need updating, standoffish receptionist but restaurant staff were nice. Getting into the top bunk v difficult!

Fenomenal
It’s was amazing staying with them, very friendly staff
Amazing place to stay, everyone is super friendly and accomodating. Special shout-out to Carlos and Koki they bring awesome vibes, we would come back just to see them ! Love Adra and highly recommend !! From Isabella and Liv ❤️
Looks shiny but it’s not actually that great. Bathrooms were…. from a different century. Massive dorm rooms with 20 beds and freely accessible from a restaurant/bar. This is a bar that decided they wanted to also be a hostel. I don’t understand why hostels in Antigua can’t have locks on room doors. Lockers were far away from the beds, curtain only blocked a part of the bed. And they didn’t have a luggage storage, just the reception area; not safe; they didn’t like us wanting to store...
Amazing hostel, more a bar vibe at the evening, helpful staff, clean bathrooms and dorms

ADRA was absolutely stunning. Great location, was able to walk everywhere in Antigua! Staff was attentive and introduced themselves and inquired about my stay and quality. Food and drinks with the view on the rooftop, you can’t beat it for the price!
Amazing property and great rooftop and garden area. Will definitely stay again
Short 2 night stay but no major complaints. Unfortunately no kitchen and it’s pretty dead for things going on. But beds and bathrooms are great.
Overall the hostel is sufficient for a message, however in my bed were small animals or animal remains, they did not want to change the bed and did not bother to help me.
Great location, but no a very social hostel. No kitchen, which is something I really missed in a more expensive city like Antigua. Also the hostel did not organise any activities. Had a nice rooftop.
We stayed in the 16 bed dorm and I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfortable and they were pretty dark. Only thing that was annoying is that staff would turn on the lights randomly either really early in the morning or late at night. The bathrooms were ok not the cleanest but it’s to be expected with the number of people. The music was pretty loud but nothing ear plugs can’t fix. I would stay here again!
It’s a beautiful stay and the staff is very friendly. It’s clean and all was moved Only thing I didn’t like was the music, it was so loud and a DJ was playing on the rooftop. It stops after 10pm - still wasn’t for me.
Dorms were large and bathrooms fairly dirty because people would go in with their dirty shoes on the wet floor. Toilet paper was missing in one toilet for a full day. And although it's very central, it was so noisy and you could feel the vibration when a car would pass by.
I’ve stayed at tons of hostels and this one is not as bad as some of the most recent reviews suggest. The beds are comfortable, have a light, personal fan, outlet and curtain. The bathroom could be a little cleaner but for the most part very nice. The hostel isn’t super social and they do not put on events like other hostels. However, there’s a quick turnover of guest because most everyone is just staying a day or two before doing the hike. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and slept well.
I loved the fan in the bunk
It‘s a very Yuppie place to stay. Having a 10 bed dorm with 3 storey beds is not my thing - as there are no photos in the app of the actual dorms, this was very surprising. Exiting the bed I slept in felt especially unsafe as I had no proper ladder and needed to use another bed ladder. I get that it was a Friday evening and although the DJ and the live music was good, I would prefer to have a calm environment to be awake because of it until 23:30. The staff on-site was great and wel...
