Incredibly noisy hostel not somewhere to go if you want to sleep. Music was booming until early hours. Bathrooms were flooded and disgusting and nothing felt clean. I do not recommend staying here!

Ridiculously overpriced for what you get - I ended up in a room the size of a closet where they jammed 6 beds, and our ceiling was peeling and covered in mold. The AC didn't work very well, but I was happy we had one, and we did have privacy curtains! None of the bathrooms had any hand soap, and a lot of the rooms only have a glass door separating guests from the loud music at the bar, which goes on late into the night. The food is good, but overpriced as well.

First night I stayed in the 6 bed dorm was so hot, and the fan didn’t work well. Room was so small was like a hot sauna and was eaten to death my mosquitos . Asked to switch dorms and the ten bed was a bit better but fans still Broken and don’t turn. Bathrooms are dirty and full of bugs. No hand soap. Pool was kinda dirty but nice and cold. The only good thing about this place is the nice lady checking you in/out working in the office and the dogs/cats on the property.

We were in Masasa # 12. The room was extremely small and very hot and an unpleasant smell was coming from the drains. Common areas were cool and comfortable and the food was good. The quality of the room plus the outrageous costs of activities in Victoria Falls, not to mention being approached by craft sellers every 50 feet, was enough to make us cancel the second night we had booked and move on early to our next destination. Thankfully, the accommodating staff refunded most of our money.

It's expensive for what you get - but there's good food, good vibes and cool staff here, it's not a bad place to stay for a couple of nights.

Wrong room for booking, the described 4 person tent room is non existent. Maybe the fault of the website or Shoestrings. Please correct as I had to get a more expensive option

very nice staff but no kitchen for self catering, super expensive food and sometimes some very drunk people from the town where there and just never left us alone again. that was super annoying. but the pool was nice 👍🏾

Poor water pressure in showers. Could not wash hair/self properly. Otherwise great location, atmosphere and friendly staff

This is the main hostel in Victoria falls. To be honest, kinda disappointed. The dorms are okay, the hang out/social gathering is okay. Very old furnitures. I just felt it needed a make over :-) with that said I believe this is the best social hostel in the area :-)

Heel gezellig hostel met leuk personeel. Soms wel problemen gehad met de douche (geen water)

Very social party hostel! Great vibes and nice to meet people. No handsoap in bathrooms and very loud with the partying (not ideal if you’re waking up early). Still a lot of fun!!

My bed was not fresh. I booked a 6 bedroom dorm. Had it all to myself. It could cope with 3 people but if 6, then a family with minimal luggage as it is crammed with bunks. Small storage locker outside for purse but need own padlock. Bags go under bottom bunk but door is not locked even while sleeping. More family oriented with bedspreads with disney characters, playground, pets etc. Pool was nice but lots of leaves from lovely garden. Has no selfcatering facilities but can buy from bar.

Loved this hostel! Met so many cool people and enjoyed the DJ on the weekend. The dorm rooms are not the greatest I’ve ever seen but they had a curtain and little spot to charge your phone and shelf for each bed so that was nice. Showers were warm as well

I’d give it a 9/10 overall rating. Such a cool place, walking distance to town. Rooms are clean and the staff are warm and friendly. I’d recommend the place to anyone visiting Victoria Falls.

This backpacker is very well located in the city center, making it easy to do everything on foot, even to Victoria Falls. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. They don't hesitate to help you if needed. I recommend this backpacker for your stay in Victoria Falls.

Always home when in Zimbabwe. It however really gets noisy as most of young backpackers love a good party but if you are looking to switch off at night especially during weekends, it can feel awful. Lovely staff, central location (I walk to Zambian falls from this accommodation which is cool). Good food and cheap beer (one of the cheapest bars in Vic falls).

The staff was very sweet and it was lovely spending time in the shared outdoor space. I did not like the key situation with the rooms. I was given a key and locked the door, and had to open it late at night because apparently no other people in my dorm had keys. Also, no luggage lockers but it did have privacy curtains and a nice sized bed.

Great backpackers. I had a private room and bathroom and it was clean with cold AC and good shower pressure. Common area was a lot of fun - made several friends, some of whom even invited me on other trips. The location is fantastic, a 5 minute walk to town. Felt very safe the whole time and they a have a generator for when the power goes out.

Excellent hostel with wonderful staff. I booked the Boma and a wildlife safari with the front desk and they both were awesome. The hostel had very good vibes with a nice pool!

We have spent a very nice time at shoestrings. Staff has been very nice and helpfull. The room for 6 Person has been too small, no relation to the price. But together with the tent it was much more confortable. Anyway, I thank you very much for your support Doris

Nice quiet place close to the falls with a big and clean pool.

Had a really nice stay at Shoestrings, but the bathroom facilities were in poor shape with faucets broken, etc. Otherwise, super nice!

Hostel sympa à Victoria Falls. Cela dit, fréquentation parfois peu rassurante en tant que femme seule (il n'y a pas que des jeunes), manque d'intimité pour moi.

way too loud at night with the music and it kept going very late. couldn't sleep at all
