Booked for new years a month in advance to be told everywhere else had sold out that the price had now doubled, and tried to charge for the free breakfast that was advertised on hostelworld. Additionally, the rooms had no storage whatsoever resulting in bags being piled high in the room. The rooms upstairs also had no internet access and my bunkbed didn’t have a ladder meaning I had to awkwardly climb via someone else’s bed. The toilets and showers were awkwardly placed by the bar area.

The hostel changed the price at the last minute, after my booking had been confirmed and there was nowhere else available within my budget so I had to pay out of pocket for the extra expense. Super unprofessional and would definitely be illegal in most countries.

Two weeks after booking, the hostel demanded more than double the price due to a “pricing error,” just a week before New Year’s. Legally not allowed, but neither the hostel nor Hostelworld helped. Every morning we had to argue for the included breakfast, and showers/toilets are right next to dining tables. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant – a total scam.

I had to pay double on arrival as the hostel said there was a problem with Hostel World. After paying double I was also asked to pay for breakfast which is confusing as a free breakfast is the first thing advertised on HostelWorld. Due to this I decided to leave early as it really put a damper on my time in El Paredon. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had such a terrible experience staying here. To start, we were greeted with the most foul smell coming from reception. The staff were so rude, completely unaccommodating and looked like they had seen a ghost any time we asked for help. The security is non existent, as is the wifi. The breakfast is so average, and don’t be fooled by the picture of the kitchen- you can’t use it.

One night a staff member came into the room drunk at 12am, shined a torch in our faces to try and find an empty bed for an drunk local man, when they found an empty bed, they turned the main light on, and left the drunk man in the bed with the light on and left the room. (No apology given). I also booked 3 nights at the hostel, I emailed to request the removal of my last night before arrival. When I arrived they still made me pay even tho my original email was outside of the 72hr cancellation.

Pas si mal mais je descends la note car le propriétaire (USA) est une personne peu recommandable qui engueule ses salariées (Guatemala) devant les clients.

Gave me food poisoning and had shards of plastic in my smoothie, spent days in bed unwell and the bathrooms were always unclean / wet and no soap to wash hands

Le seul point fort de l'hostel est l'emplacement ah et le confort des lits aussi c'était très bien. Mais pour le reste, surtout la propreté, il pourrait avoir amélioration. J'ai quand même aimé mon séjour, si vous voulez avoir la paix c'est clairement le bon hostel, pendant une journée j'étais la seule qui restait.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet hostel. La localisation est idéale, les lits sont très confortables et les communs sont très agréables ! Je ne m’attendais pas à ça avec une note aussi basse mais j’ai été agréablement surprise ! Je recommande tout à fait cet hébergement pour un séjour à El Paredón.

A lovely hostel with lovely staff. Clean rooms and comfy beds! very chill vibe during my stay which I liked. They don't have a pool, nor some kind of a social chill area except where you sit and eat but a hammock garden though. As all hostels here they don't have a kitchen but according to hostelworld the breakfast was included which was mostly why I booked. It turned out that it's not and they been trying to change the info. Cause of the inconvenience the lovely owner gave me breakfast anyway

Es un lugar muy tranquilo, solo me quede una noche pero me hubiera quedado de nuevo.

A lovely hostel but a complete lack of liveliness as there is nothing going on here at all. Also when I stayed I got the free breakfast one day and then the second I was asked to pay? And when I stated it said free online they said it’s because the manager was coming which was bizarre and only then did they say it’s fine and I did not need to pay now which is strange. Staff are amazing though especially the volunteers

No staff or guests present when we arrived. Had to wait half an hour for someone to arrive and show us to our rooms. The man behind the bar in the mornings was rude, blasting reggaeton and EDM before 8 in the morning. When asked if breakfast was being served, be rudely replied no while continuing to eat his fruit and listen to his music. Turns out breakfast was in fact still being served.

It’s solid. Rooms were full of sand but beers are cheap. Brekky is a huge bonus. Showers and toilets are right next to the bar which is interesting. Does the job

Rapport qualité/prix

L'hostel en lui même est pas mal, mais les services proposés sur le site ne sont pas disponible sur place. Il manque toujours un truc, il y a clairement un problème de gestion de stocks ou de communication au sein du personnel. Tous les hostels sont bien placés dans la ville puisqu'elle est toute petite, à refaire, je prendrai un autre.

Loved it here! The free breakfast was great, other food was delicious, outdoor showers had strong water pressure, and dorms were clean. Only thing that could make it better would be a pool!

Overall pretty good for a hostel on the beach. The location was perfect, the staff was really nice and the breakfast was pretty good. I feel like all hostels on the beach tend to be a lil hard to keep clean with sand in the rooms and stuff, also the showers and bathroom situation wasn't ideal but it was def worth the money. It had a summer camp feel to it, also the cats and dogs around the hostel were really cute!

Au centre de tout et surtout dortoir avec air climatisé. Le personnel est très gentil et tu peux leur demander ce que vous voulez et il trouveront
