Lots of Noice and a small room .
It was super noisy and rooms cannot get dark at night because of the light outside and no shades in the windows.
Really disappointed by this place. There was no atmosphere whatsoever. Staff was nice but not super friendly. The main issue was the mosquitos in the rooms. Hoards of them, and the mosquito nets were old with holes and didn’t keep them out. I woke up with a million bug bites (this hasn’t been an issue at any other hostel in the Philippines). The showers made me very uncomfortable because people could see into them from the surrounding buildings. Wouldn’t recommend. Only pro is it’s by th...
The listing of the shared room looked great however the experience was less so. The windows did not shut and this led to us being unable to sleep due to barking dogs right outside the window. The fan that was in our room also stopped working due to a power cut. We could not shower, use the WiFi. We asked staff for some form of compensation however they disregarded this and showed no concern or gave us any time to help us out before leaving early. The lack of concern was disappointing.
Go if you have nowhere else to go.
The facility of the hostel is not the best, the showers aren’t working very well so are sinks. The bedrooms are okay. But the Personal are the best. They are so kind and helpful. The owners of the hostel are very very kind people who would help you with everything. We felt very safe around them.
Assez basique mais très bien pour quelques jours
antigua casa señorial, en general bien, a mí me agrado.
Overall a great stay, room was clean and they provide mosquito nets for each bed. Only thing I would mention is no hot water, only cold. But if you are ok with that, I would recommend 100% recommend
Overall good place to stay if you want to be near the port. Perfect for 1 night. Other than that the town is pretty industrial and if you are staying longer I would stay closer to the beach. They were unresponsive over WhatsApp when we had problems with the TukTuk driver they booked for us, possible they just don’t use WhatsApp. Would be nice to have a better way to communicate. Tried to explain the situation at checkout but the woman didn’t understand English well enough.

Je ne suis restée qu'une nuit mais c'était très chouette, le bâtiment est sublime et le personnel très accueillant et a aidant.

Great place, great staff, great location. Would recommend 👍🏽
really nice, the owner was super friendly. I played the whole evening chess with him.
Super cute Hostel. Super nice hosts. Not very social but very nice vibe to it (very calming)
Staying in the Oasis Balili Lodge was a really interesting and wonderful experience. The history of the house made it feel like we were staying in a really cool spot and it’s within walking distance of the pier which is a big plus. Also Gloria Balili and her husband were absolutely wonderful people. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
It was so peaceful and safe to the extent that I do leave my laptop and phone whenever going out. Also, I was able to talk to the owners and he shared about the history of this interesting place. People are kind here. They also do have karaoke and I enjoyed it. Will be back for sure.
It’s not a social hostel, there were not that many other travelers. But it’s really clean and the stuff was very friendly.
Such a charming spot! I stayed five nights and during that time, spoke with the owners Ray and Gloria a number of times. It was nice to get their insight on living in the Philippines. They gave me a lot of advice on tours, places to see, etc. I would recommend getting a room with AC as fan-only is a bit tough with the warm weather. Breakfast available for purchase. Easy access from ferry and to tricycle drivers, restaurants, etc. Overall, I loved my stay - it was relaxing and just what I needed.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was cool to learn about the property’s history and was very pretty. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm, but it was just me and my friend for our whole stay, which was quite nice. It is quite far away from tourist attractions and Panglao though. It would be fine if you can ride a bike. The bathroom is quite outdated and not the cleanest, but understandable given the property’s age.
nice hostel unfortunately not to many people stay there
Absolutely loved it there! Everyone was soooo friendly and nice! Would recommend
very nice and helpful staff, good and cheap breakfast, nice location
Amazing experience! The owners and employees made my stay feel like home. Great location with plenty of places to eat that are within walking distance. Learning about the history of the house makes it very special.
Great staff and and clean property with bug nets. No complaints!
The century-old house has its own charm, which I particularly liked. The atmosphere was very familiar and the owners and staff very friendly and helpful. This is the reason why I extended my stay. The furnishings in the room were simple. There is a big box where you can lock your luggage. Also, the breakfast (from 7am - 2pm) was very nice and reasonably priced. It is possible to book a bike through the accommodation. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

Great place, I love the monumental building! Very friendly staff and clean facilities, even a hot shower! (Not that I want one in the tropics, but still) excellently situated near the port and lots of restaurants nearby.
