OC Hostel

10/10. I expected nothing less from a King and that is what you get at OC Hostel. It's in the perfect position down one of the labyrinth of cool alleys in the central west of Tainan. Near everything and so many great restaurants in the area. The room is spacious and the bed is a cloud, cable TV is there if you want and overall it is a great place to rest after long days checking out the city.

Had a great stay here! The beds were SO comfortable, and the host was super communicative and helpful with recommendations. Next time we'll definitely stay for more than one night!

King is King indeed! King of Tainan that is! :) I agree with all the previous super positive reviews of OC Hostel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hostel is lovely, clean, and comfortable. The location couldn't be more ideal and the owner, King, couldn't be kinder and more helpful! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat! Definitely recommended.

King is an INCREDIBLE host. Gave great recommendations and invited me to drink some team with him. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Tainan.

OC Hostel is absolutely wonderful - amazing location down a quiet street but still near things to do (i.e. nice food, coffee, and attractions like Confucious Temple for example are all walkable). Room was clean and comfortable. The host King was super nice and gave us loads of great recommendations, plus there is the cutest dog ever!

Highly recommend this place to stay in Tainan! King was an incredible host, so kind and willing to help with anything you might need. Loved the location as well, lots of cute cafes and restaurants within walking distance as well as the most incredibly ornate temples. Got the real Taiwan experience staying here. Only regret is not staying in Tainan longer to see more! If I come back to Taiwan, I'll make sure to make a trip back to OC Hostel. Thank you so much again!!

Love this hostel. Super friendly hosts who made us tea and cute puppy. Would definitely stay there again.

King was an incredible host! He was so friendly and welcoming, helped us find our way to the hostel when we arrived at the wrong train station, and shared some delicious tea and conversation with us. We would love to come back one day!

Wonferdul stay ! Everything was perfect, the host is very friendly, the room very clean and beautiful, i highly recommend choosing this place if you come to tainan !

Best stay of our trip! Every aspect of this hostel is great. King and his dog being the highlight. Beds are very comfortable, the location is close to everything we wanted to do and the tea ceremony on arrival to top it all off made the experience very special. Highly recommend staying here.

Great stay! +cumfy bed with super soft sheets +welcoming host — good to chat with over delicious tea +close to great food/drink options +free front loader washing machine +very quiet room (didn’t need ear plugs for once!) You might meet other travelers in the reception/tea ceremony area, but don’t rely on it. Host is great to chat with anyway.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at OC Hostel. it was a quick trip but enjoyable. King was an excellent host and provided great recommendations.

Un séjour parfait !! Notre hôte etait adorable, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, hyper gentil …! Les lieux sont parfaits une petite cuisine et une laverie sont mis à disposition. C’est un endroit très agréable. Petit bonus pour le petit chien de notre hôte qui nous a fait craquer !!

perfect location, and very kind hosts! i had hiked Mt Jade the day before and they were kind enough to upgrade me to a better room. really appreciated my time here and wish i could have stayed longer 🫶🏾
