Hotel Tunich Naj & Hostal

I rarely write reviews but this was bad. Weird vibe and attitude from guy in reception on check in. Kind of scoffed at me for only booking one night. 2/3 showers had no water coming out and the one that did was spraying everywhere but on you. The fans were all broken and made so much noise we had to sleep with fans off. There was no gas in the kitchen so you couldn’t use any of the three stoves. Some lights in the dorm didn’t work. You have to pay for a sheet or towel. The pool looked ok.

Es mentira que funcione el aire acondicionado de manera regular. Sólo lo encienden a las 10 de la noche y además, en medio de la noche, entra un empleado en la habitación para desconectarlo. Deberian indicar esto en la descripción de la oferta, y no lo hicieron. No recomendable.

The hostal seemed pleasant enough on arrival. First day, well, morning, no water, no showers & it has been 35°C here. The eating area was constantly plagued by flies, and the rooms by mosquitos. After 3 days I renewed for another 3 nights, as did not want the hastle of moving again. I was charged considerably more than I had just paid for the initial three nights. When I complained & objected wad told it is 'impuestos' for what? ripping me off? Untrustworthy, their customers are just cash c...

I didn't like the vibe in the hostel. Maybe it's not always like this but there were only old 50+ people of which some didn't speak English nor Spanish and the reception didn't seem very talkative either. There isn't a place for privacy, beds are in one big room and I had to sleep under a blanket that actually felt more like a carpet. It's OK if the hostal manages the temp of the AC but then put it at a degree everyone likes such as 24C or if it's outside 24C just turn the thing off save energy!

We didn’t have a very good stay at the hostel. The first issue when we arrived was that the staff insisted that we had to pay our full stay in cash and we had to pay a deposit to rent a key to our dorm room. The dorm room it self was not very good either. The second night the AC didn’t work at all and the fans in the room were broken so you could only have it at full power or not at all. I also had a bed were all the springs were broken in the middle. All in all it was not a good stay

Super dead, no social atmosphere at all. Staff is useless and not very helpful. We booked a private and when we arrived after midnight (after a delayed flight) we had to wait 20min outside in the dark until the person in the reception woke up and then we were sent to a shared room even though we had already payed for our private. He didn’t even give us towels to shower claiming we would have to wait until the next day…

The place is well located. The staff is nice. The room seemed very well cleaned but we saw a blate (cockroach) under the bed and in the kitchen with an ants' colony... So the scoring.

We stayed in the dorm for two nights and we have mixed feelings: one one hand, the common spaces are beautiful, well organised with the swimming pool as a cherry on top. On the other one, the kitchen is dirty with few kitchen appliances, and just one fridge for too many apartments/dorms. Bathroom is another pain point: just two toilette with very little space to move in. Eventually, the main dorm is stinky (it would be enough to keep the doors open all day. Late check-in appreciated

Hostal decente, por la calidad / precio, aunque hay mejores opciones en Valladolid. El jardín es el mejor espacio del hostal para relajarse o trabajar. Es un ambiente tranquilo excepto por la tele que prende en las áreas comunes todo el día. No sigue la regulación sobre áreas de no fumar. La limpieza no es la mejor, pero tampoco está pésima. Tienen un gato por si tienes alergia no es recomendable. El trato del personal es regular. La ubicación está bien, a unas cuadras de la plaza cen...

Très bien situé, la cour est superbe, le balcon apprécié, la Chambre correcte, la salle de bain très bien, les tours annoncés par l'hôtel sont très bien gérés et compétitifs, les guides expérimentés . Le personnel est sympathique. Le restaurant est vraiment très bien

I loved it there. The staff is soooo nice and it's so well located. the beds were comfy and there had more than enough space in the dorm. The kitchen is spacious too. The little pool is perfect to get refreshed when the weather's hot. Thanks for the welcome!

Das Personal spricht nur teils Englisch und wir hatten Probleme mit der Kartenzahlung mussten also das Hostel bar zahlen. In Summe ist die Lage sehr gut und man alles sehr gut fussläufig erreichen. Das Zimmer war nett, allerdings sehr Basic und es gab auch keine Föhn. Alles in allem ist es ein super Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.

The hostel was pretty but not really secure for woman. We didn't have a key for our room so we can't close the door of the dormitory. In addition, the lockers available in the room are really small, we can't put our backpack inside.. We also had a bad experience with the person in the room in front of the bathroom.. there was a really strange man who spied us when we brushed our teeth and did some stranger things like take a bottle with plant ant put it in his balcon with his hands to scare us..

Friendly staff and cute outside space. The dorm can’t be locked from the outside. Even considering the 24/7 reception, I found it unsafe, especially for a female only dorm. The lockers inside the room are too small to fit a travel backpack. Clean room, but not the bathrooms nor the kitchen

Struttura affascinante personale accogliente e cordiale molto socievoli è simpatici,da consigliare !!!!!

A good place to stay in Valladolid. Location is near the centre. The staff is kind. The dorm is very basic and the ac times are only from 22-7. On hot days, this could be extended. Also the mosquito nets on windows and doors could be improved. The cafe is very good. The prices are for the quality and AC and staff very reasonable. For chiche itza, you book a tour with the hostrl because the collectivo with cenote ik kil is also 350 MXN.

Estuvimos tranquilos y tanto los otros huéspedes como los trabajadores del hostal nos trataron bien.

Everything was nice and cosy. The only concern about it's the security, anyone can go in the only lady room and it doesn't fell super safe. But the environment itself it's super nice and the confortable. The people around at that time were trustuble but it's not always like that.so I hope they take that in consideration for the future.

Jai été tellement mal accueillie . Le réceptionniste présent ce jour était juste incorrect ! L’eau ne coule pas, et le lendemain non plus. J’ai dde à dormir sur le lit du bas car il y avait personne , il m’a dit non car qqn arrive , ok. Je suis restée deux nuit personne n’est venu ! Sinon hostel bien situé , partie commune sympa.

We stayed in the hostel dorm. Good beds and enough space. Showers were tiny with no hooks for your stuff. One toilet didn't have a seat. Kitchen is big but a bit dirty. And the fridge was super packed so a second fridge would be very useful. Some of the staff were watching things on their phones with the sound on speaker next to the dorm. Which was quite inconsiderate. Also the pool didn't look that clean. For 2 nights it was fine, but it can be way better.

The hostel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. They helped us rent a car and we had a lovely room. Would recommend!

Great hostel, they try really hard. I had to fight with the receptionist to get a top sheet, but other than that it was a great spot. I met some super cool women in the female dorm, which had a very weird bathroom arrangement. The mixed dorm looked like a teenage boys room after a slumber party, but to each their own. I would go back again. Valladolid was great and so close to Chichen Itzá.
