Tetebatu Sama Sama Bungalow

We booked a couple days before, when we arrived it was hard to find someone who had a clue what’s going on. We got told that they are fully booked out and we could stay at a more expensive place next door, which was basically a mattress on the floor. When we looked it up on booking, it was a couple euros less than the original place and we still had to pay for the room at sama sama where we didn’t sleep.

Bij aankomst was de kamer niet beschikbaar door overboeking. De manager hielp ons niet met een alternatief en terwijl de zon al onder was stonden wij op straat zonder kamer. Hij wist geen andere plekken aan te raden. Gelukkig was de chauffeur van het hostel wel bereid om met ons rond te rijden tot we iets hadden. Al met al een hele vervelende ervaring en niet zoals ik van de hulpvaardige Indonesiers gewend was.

Very bad experience here. Booked a private room but when I arrived I was informed that they had overbooked so had to share a bed with someone who made a separate booking for their own private room. I checked in at 6pm the staff had hours to see this mistake but waited till I arrived. They were unhelpful in the matter and said this frequently happens. Would not recommend

I got bed bugs from one of their rooms … very mad about that because it’s such a struggle to get rid of them. None of the bungalows are the same so you can pay the same price as someone and have a room that’s not ad nice as theirs which is a shame. Overall the atmosphere is chill and can be social (not that much in low season). A part of the staff is really nice and plays live music in the evening which was my favorite part !

Very unfriendly staffmember at reception

They were overbooked and didn't let us know in advance even though we booked weeks before. They were totally unhelpful and we had to stay at another place for a night. In general the staff felt unwelcoming and every evening there was loud music going on until after 11pm. Every morning you wake up from the nearby mosques and sleeping past 7 is basically impossible. Also because of the mosques there's the same music every day all day really loud. So no relaxing atmosphere at all.

L’emplacement, la vue depuis la chambre, la piscine et la gentillesse des gens sont les principales raisons de pourquoi j’ai aimé ce logement. Mais la chambre sens la moisissure, il n’y a pas de ventilateur et les draps sont humide à cause de l’humidité (comme un peu partout ici en Indonésie). Ce qui m’a le plus dérangé c’est cette odeur de moisissure.

Cuidado, me mintieron muchisimas veces, me cambiaron de hostal diciéndome que era el mismo “sama-sama”, no me querian decir cuanto costaba, cuando les convenía no hablaban ingles, me cobraron más por una habitación más pequeña y en otro hostal “jungle vibes”, el personal joven que atiende super amables todos. Pero el señor de recepción un mentiroso y aprovechador, quise pagar con tarjeta y me dijo que se había caído a la piscina y el contacto para transporte me dijo se llamaba ...

They gave our laundry back that was still wet and was smelling like smoke...

We enjoyed the beautiful surrounding area, unfortunately it felt that the staff were very disinterested in helping. It took multiple requests to have our laundry collected and we often found ourselves waiting at reception or the restaurant, only for the staff to provide the bare minimum effort - although Ricky was always helpful. We were charged for a 4 person room we booked, only to receive a 2 person room.

you should definitely stay here when visiting Tete Batu, the atmosphere is one of the bests I’ve come across to far. This is a place where the people are very friendly, music is a big part of the day and community is felt. The bungalows are so nice and the view is amazing! And definitely try their curry!

I loved my stay here. The location is stunning, the staff are superfriendly. The bungalows are nice but with an easy standard. I ended up staying one more night.

Absolute amazing place, loved the people working there. Everything felt so comfortable and safe, and the evening vibes at the bar was amazing. I’ll never forget Ricky the best bartender in Lombok!

The hostel was cute. I really liked the atmosphere the most. The staff was so kind and they really care. The only problem we had was the animals in our room. We had rats and they ate everything and climbed on us in our sleep, that was uncomfortable. Other than that it was just lovely. They played music in the evening which made it very homey. The food was great and the view was beautiful.

Was such a welcoming place! That staff were absolutely incredible - had so much fun hanging out with them. Really great facilities, and the food was AMAZE (free banana pancakes for brekky *chef kiss*).

Leuke accommodatie als je houd van gezelligheid in de avond met live muziek.

I loved this place. It was located right in the hills of Tetebatu and was so so peaceful. The area the hostel spans is huge, with lots of different hangout areas. Very very friendly dogs which you will get attached to so fast! They also offer lots of tours which are fun and good value.

such an amazing stay! the staff is so kind & the setting is beautiful. take the walking tour, and eat at some of the amazing warungs that are close by! the shower has no hot water is the only downside.

Wunderschöner Ort. Man sollte nur bedenken, dass man im Dschungel ist und Tiere (Ameisen) im Zimmer haben könnte. Auch sind drei Moscheen in der Nähe, die immer um 4:30 für eine halbe Stunde einem den Schlaf rauben.

Had a lovely and very personal stay at Sama Sama. Jusi made us feel at home, as well as all the other staff. The bungalows were nice, the live music was good and the best food of my trip probably!

Ik heb echt ontzettend genoten van mijn verblijf bij SamaSama. Ontzettend lief personeel, het voelde als een veilige omgeving en er hing een ontzettend fijne sfeer. Er is een pooltafel en 's avonds altijd een kampvuur, dit zorgt voor verbinding met andere mensen. Op een avond zongen we liedjes met de gitaar, was erg leuk. Het personeel was altijd erg betrokken en checkte altijd hoe je dag was geweest en hoe het met je ging. Leuke plek om mensen te ontmoeten!

Quand tu pleures en quittant un logement, c’est que c’était un sacré endroit. Comme ils disent come as a guest, stay as a friend leave as family, Merci à la sama sama family, car ce moment a tetebatu n aurait pas été le même sans vous 🙏 Si il y a bien un endroit de mon voyage dont je me souviendrai c’est celui là

Super ! Nous avons même prolongé notre séjour tellement nous avons apprécié cet endroit !
