Lake Como Beach Hostel

The location was really nice, but without any place to chill except for the rooms when it rains, not really a hostel feeling. Also we got BED BUGS from there!!! Probably because of the bad hygiene… would not recommend.

The town this hostel is located in is very hard to travel from. There are only 4 ferries a day to and from so you have to plan meticulously. There are bugs everywhere so make sure to have your bug spray. The bed and pillow was more like cardboard then anything of comfort and the restaurant food is quite repulsive. It is a place to stay and definitely not anything fancy so do with this information as you wish.

The staff were very friendly! The WiFi did not work at all and there were virtually no kitchen facilities or common areas / sitting areas and no atmosphere. It could have been a little cleaner. The location is quite far away from everything so it was expensive to go places with the bus every day but there was a beautiful view of the lake and a nice back porch!

Hostel is okay. Location is perfect but it's not a great place to meet other people. Downstairs is a restaurant which you can tell is the primary business. No common room apart from the outside balcony upstairs (which is nice) and no place to prepare meals (apart from microwave and fridge). Has a lot of potential. Price is good, staff is nice.

Super nice location. New facilities and romantic atmosphere. Just a bit far from Como town (about 2h, last bus at around 6:30pm). Price a bit high for a hostel.

great location right on the lake and 10 minute walk to town/ferry. room was clean and basic facilities. ate in restaurant and food very average. however, great spot for few nights.

Verder wordt je verplicht uiteten te gaan, gezien er geen keuken, servies of gemeenschappelijke ruimte is. Enkel een waterkoker en koelkast.

The public transportation is pretty hard to navigate as the buses and ferries don’t actually run on schedule. If you aren’t on a tight schedule this shouldn’t matter but the hostel is 2 hours away from Como. The location is beautiful though and very peaceful compared to the touristy areas. The staff is really helpful and friendly, and the restaurant downstairs is great. A good hostel. It's nice that it is right next to the lake but when interrailing it's a shame that you have to take a bus. That can and did cause some trouble.

Very affordable hostel with amazing views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains! My room was spacious, simple, and a bit worn, but fine for the price. I’d recommend bringing a sleeping bag since only a thin blanket is provided. There’s a shared kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, and kettle, plus a lovely rooftop terrace. The restaurant downstairs can be a bit noisy, but not too late. As a female solo traveler, I felt comfortable and public transport was very easy to use.

Great location and easy to reach. The staff were incredibly helpful, even checking nearby facilities for me. The hostel was clean with amazing views, and everything was close by, including GEC Bistros and a budget-friendly Penny store. Comfortable rooms, friendly guests, and secure access made the stay seamless. Highly recommend!

Really nice place. Great location. Next to the lake, we loved the view. Not the best internet, but it worked fine. We were in low season and had a great price.

one of the best and safe place I live so far , the place has amazing view and I went my vespa and I was happy, and my scooter was safe there

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed at during my travels of the last couple years. Reasonably priced, clean, and the staff are top notch. I will look forward to returning

Wow!! The location of the hostel is beautiful! I couldn't believe I got that view every morning. I ended up staying an extra night & the staff was very accommodating. Even though the location is amazing it is still very far from the main tourists spots of Lake Como. I took a 2 hour ride daily to go those locations.Just know busses do not run all night& if you miss the last bus from Menaggio you'll have to pay $60USD for a taxi back to Colico😅 so plan accordingly. This hostel is the perfect location, right on the lake, it feels like a real hidden gem away from the more touristy spots. The staff are fantastic and so friendly, when we missed our bus one staff member even gave us a ride to the station which was unbelievably helpful. The rooms are great, with gorgeous views and good facilities such as a shower and towels provided- the only issue we found was the pillows were slightly flat but that was a very minimal issue. Highly recommend!

Brilliant hostel, perfect location and the loveliest staff of any hostel I’ve stayed in. The connected restaurant is great value and serves food and drink all day including fresh out the oven croissants at breakfast time. The rooms are safe and well looked after with large lockers and relatively comfortable beds. It’s situated a stones throw from the lake and has a terrace area and basic kitchen facilities like a kettle, fridge and microwave. Cannot recommend this place enough!

absolute perfect stay, the hostel is right on the waterfront with a view of the mountains in a rly lovely small town. the place is super lively in the day and peaceful at night, restaurant is well priced w rly good food. staff are also so kind and rly go above and beyond. rooms are clean but a bit hot, the fan and large window def help though. & location-wise it’s not super touristy like como yet still well connected with a bus stop very close by.

A great hostel in Domaso that literally has everything a tourist needs to feel welcome and at home. Would highly recommend staying for solo travellers.
