Villa Layla

Villa Layla is a wonderful hostel! Very beautiful and original place, the swimming pool is great, the staff is so kind and helpful, the egyptian breakfast is great. Definitely in my top 5 hostels!

Great Hostel with amazing Staff

It is a Pearl within the chaos of Cairo. Stunning environment and architecture that has been lovingly maintained and preserved. It was a joy to walk through the front doors into such an elegant hostel. All staff were friendly and very helpful. And the dorm beds seemed to be extra wide with soft bedding. Breakfast (150 EGP) was so tasty and they serve it wherever you would like to sit. Poolside and in the garden was my choice. A beautiful place not to be missed. It is No. 1 on my hostel list and

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful building that helps you feel like you’re going back in time. Aya and her team were so friendly and helpful. There are two crews working a day crew and a night crew and both make you feel at home. Atmosphere was great there. 1000% is the hostel to stay in if visiting Cairo.

Die Villa Layla war einfach top. Super Lage, super Ausstattung und super Mitarbeiter. Der Pool im Hinterhof bietet einen perfekten Ort um vom Großstadtstress zur Ruhe zu kommen. Zudem ist es eine tolle Location um Leute kennenzulernen. Alles im allen eine tolle Erfahrung. Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man Kairo besucht.

Villa Layla was the perfect way to round off my first trip to Egypt. The staff are fantastic hosts and really make you feel at home in this beautiful old building which was previously residence of the French ambassador. The hostel has a genuinely warm feeling like you are staying in someone’s very grand albeit comfortable home. It’s a good location too within easy reach of the places you’d wish to explore in Cairo. If I find myself back in Cairo I will be back to Villa Layla! Thank you

Villa Layla hostel exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the atmosphere made it easy to meet other travelers. The location was perfect and close to major attractions but still quiet at night. Facilities like the kitchen and common areas were well-maintained thanks to the housekeepers and the house is very cozy with style, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in my life. I dont think I will ever see another hostel like villa Layla. It's a hidden gem in Cairo

Great clean and social hostel. The staff is amazing, especially Boudy who helped me a lot when my baggage from the airport was delayed. Probably the best place to stay in Cairo!

Honestly the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Great atmosphere, fab location (walkable to Downtown!) and just super comfy and spacious. Staff were so calm and attentive at all hours of the day. A lovely oasis in the hustle and bustle of Cairo!

The hostel is truly more than amazing!It’s extremely beautiful, the staff is super welcoming&ready to help!Cairo is such a busy city so I really enjoyed to come home to such a relaxing, homely, save environment after a long day strolling through the city!Big plus as well: lockers above the bed, curtains & small lights above the bed, super bright and nice woman only rooms, separated woman only showers that are lockable. in my opinon perfect for female solo travelers.fyi Room not lockable I thin...

Villa Layla war total gut eingerichtet und sicher gelegen. Aya war besonders hilfsbereit und freundlich und hat für uns zwei sehr schöne Ausflüge geplant und koordiniert.

This was my second time at the best hostel in Egypt! A really beautiful building in an ideal location. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent. I can't recommend enough.

Clean, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. This was the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were incredibly sweet, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. The Egyptian breakfast was amazing—fresh, tasty, and a highlight every morning. The building itself feels like a calm oasis in the middle of hectic downtown Cairo. More than just accommodation, it really felt like a home. Highly recommended.

Clean and Beautiful property with lots of amenities.

Wirklich eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, genau wie auf den Bildern! Habe mich als allein Reisende Frau sehr wohl gefühlt!

Very clean accommodating hostel the pictures are as the place is , staff constantly cleaning , they are very good here I will return
