Nos quedamos 3 noches, 1 de ellas el aire acondicionado no lo encendieron y la otra se apago más temprano de lo que dijeron. El wifi no llega a las habitaciones. Quienes trabajan ahí son bastante despreocupados en relación a las necesidades de los huéspedes, sin embargo cuando quieren cobrar lo hacen al instante que pisas el suelo. No cambian las sábanas cuando los huéspedes se van y no limpian el baño (tuvimos que pedir que saquen la basura del tacho) a diario.
Al no tener aire acondicionado la estadía se convierte en una mala experiencia ya que el calor y las altas temperaturas son símbolo de San Andrés. Te obliga a tener ventanas abiertas y comienza la picazón de los zancudos. Si bien es barato, recomiendo gastar un poco más en un lugar más acogedor. Mi habitación tenía cucarachas muertas. Se nota que no existe limpieza por parte del dueño, ya que liberan la habitación y enseguida entran el siguiente turista MALA EXPERENCIA.
As there is no air conditioning the stay becomes a bad experience as the heat and high temperatures are a symbol of San Andrés. It forces you to have windows open and the itching of the zancudos begins. Although it is cheap, I recommend spending a little more in a more cozy place. My room had dead cockroaches. It is noted that there is no cleaning on the part of the owner, as they clear the room and the next tourist MALA EXPERENCIA enters immediately.
Hostel ok pour le prix. L’hôte est vraiment super gentil et donne de très bonnes recommandations. Cependant il fait trop chaud dans les chambres (privées), un ventilateur ne suffit pas. Et la propreté, et rénovation est à revoir niveau salle de bain.
Hostel ok for the price. Lhoste is really super nice and gives very good recommendations. however it is too hot in the rooms (private), a fan is not enough. and the cleanliness, and renovation is to review bathroom level.
Juan is the best host ever. He was really nice and helpful. The hostel is located at bit outside of town but still within walking distance of everything. The showers barely had any water pressure which was a bit of a shame. The kitchen is good and equipped with basically everything you need.
The only staff member at the hostel is the owner, Juan — a very attentive person who knows the area extremely well and can offer great tips on what to do nearby. Unfortunately, the hostel has some infrastructure issues. A bathroom pipe was leaking during my entire stay and was never repaired. Juan placed a bucket as a temporary fix, but water still ran through the hallway. No explanation was given to the guests. Quiet but very nice hostel with an amazing host (cheers Juan!). Would recommend to bring a Mosquito-Net but otherwise everything was really nice :)
San Andrés sin aire acondicionado es difícil de llevar. El precio está en consonancia con el estado del hostel. Juan y su esposa son encantadores muy amables y te dan todo tipo de información de la isla

For the very good price, we were content with our room. Staff friendly and helpful, good location. However, neither of the bathrooms had soap which to us made bad impression.
Had a great time during my stay here. Got to know the staff really well. Dorm can be pretty hot at night without aircon! Would recommend.
I came to San Andres to Scuba dive and this location was perfect. 15 minute walk to town center, a supermarket nearby, and a Subway sandwhich shop which was key for a quick bite between dives and dive naps. Julio showed me around the island and was awesome to hang out with giving a local experience. Juan and the staff were super helpful with recommendations on where to go, avoiding tourist traps, food, and were super accommodating - Juan even gave me a ride to the airport. Loved this hostel so much! Juan is amazing and always happy to help with whatever you need. The dorm is basic but the atmosphere and how social the hostel is more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend this hostel, it has such a nice atmosphere and you feel at home here

It feels like you're really staying at someone's house for the night, Juan is a top guest who makes you feel right at home among the other guests.
Nice hostel, near the edge of the center, about a 10-15 minute walk along the malecon. Beds are comfy, cool water showers felt good in the island heat. I didn’t use the kitchen, but it appeared to be pretty well stocked. Good wifi connection. I had an enjoyable stay here.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Blue Almond Hostel. It has been nothing less than the best hostel I have stayed in during my travels. If you’re looking for a hostel that is an antidote to the usual commercialised, vapid hostels, this is your place. Many thanks to Juan for his genuine warmth and hospitality. A special thanks to Camilo, Juan’s cousin, whose friendship was the highlight of my stay in this hostel and really made my experience. I couldn’t recommend Blue Almond more!
Juan ist ein sehr zuvorkommender und extrem hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Immer ansprechbar und sehr gut vernetzt, sofern was benötigt wird, hat er immer einen Ansprechpartner und kann sehr schnell vermitteln. Die Unterkunft befindet sich nicht allzu weit Weg vom Hauptstrand und Downtown, ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg. Auch der Flughafen ist ungefähr 15 Minuten Fußweg entfernt.
Juan is a very approachable and extremely helpful Host. Always approachable and very well connected, if what is needed, he always has a contact person and can communicate very quickly. The accommodation is not too far away from the main beach and downtown, about 15 minutes walk. Also the airport is about 15 minutes walk away.
I really loved staying in this hostel! It was low season, so I even got a whole room for myself, which was nice :) Juan was always there for me if I needed something and was very helpful! He even gave me a ride to the other side of the island :) There is no warm water in the shower, but trust me: You don’t need it! It’s so hot on the island, that you REALLY REALLY need a cold shower! Location is nice, there are grocery stores, etc. nearby. I definitely recommend!! Loved it there! :)
Juan y su esposa son muy amables, gentiles y cuidadosos. El hostel es muy seguro, en una parte bien ubicada cerca del centro, con buena energía y limpieza.

I loved staying here! The kitchen has everything you need and Juan is a super helpful host that knows everything you can do on the island. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a chill place to stay.
