Mountain View Hostel

+ Fatima was lovely to meet and took great care of the property. Lots of restaurants nearby and really good food. Overall, the place was really clean, bed was comfortable and the place was central.

- It was a bit loud in the morning because our room was on the ground level with a window facing the street. For privacy, there were many plants in front of the window, which also blocked direct sunlight into the room. But since we were only there for one night, it didn't bother us much.

+ Great value for a single room.... You hardly can get it any cheaper. The room was simple, very clean. The bathroom is freshly renovated. Very friendly owner. The Hotel is a 12 minutes walk from the central Plaza.

- I got used to, but the shower has only cold water. So be prepared.

+ The hostel is in a good position, near to the center and bus station but not in a traffic street. The staff was really nice and kitchen is clean and well equipped.

- The room was not well isolated.. you could hear everything from outside and from the other rooms. Just cold shower, but in El Salvador is pretty normal. For the price you pay, I think I'll worth it

+ The staff was absolutely wonderful – very helpful and always ready to explain everything. The kitchen was tidy and very clean.

- However, there was no hot water in the shower – not because it wasn’t working, but simply because there isn’t any. Also, the power outlet was quite far from the bed.

+ Krásný výhled na hory z terasy. K dispozici byla pitná voda a pěkné společenské prostory. Parkování přímo pod kamerou.

- U záchodu bychom uvítali také umyvadlo se zrcadlem. Na jednom z oken nebyly záclony.

+ Loved our stay here. First off it is a fan room, so if you can't handle the warm with no A/C be prepared haha. The room was very comfortable, quiet and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The garage/reception area was a perfect fit for both our motorbikes. The kitchen is nicely stocked with pots, pans and potable water. Very close to centre, grocery stores, restaurants etc.... Everything you need is right there. Definitely recommend.

+ Excellent hostel. Friendly and lots of communal space. Kitchen good for cooking main meals. Amazing value.

+ Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Die Besitzer sind sowas von nett und hilfsbereit. Es wird jeden Tag sehr gründlich überall geputzt. Hier wird sich richtig Mühe gegeben. Das Hostel ist nicht mal 9 Monate alt. Der Preis für das Doppelzimmer ist dazu noch unschlagbar. Zwar ist max. 10 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt dafür aber sehr ruhig und in einer sicheren Wohngegend. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.

+ Mountain View is a convenient, comfortable place to stay. It's close enough to the centre and bus station and it is in a safe location. It is better to stay at Mountain View than directly in the centre as it is cleaner and not as noisy with traffic at night. Javier is also a great host, who has plenty of knowledge on the area.

+ Le personnel est sympathique et prêt à répondre à vos questions. La cuisine est bien équipée et lavée tout comme le reste du logement. Il est en extérieur du centre ville ce qui le rend calme

+ El staff es muy amable y profesional, siempre están pendientes, el cuarto muy limpio, bien ubicado y tiene area de fumadores, una muy buena experiencia

+ Großer Sozialbereich. Geräumiges Zimmer mit begehbarem Kleiderschrank. Sehr nette Besitzer, die viele Infos geben können. Gute Laundry. Super ausgestattete Küche. Alles top!

+ We loved the hostel. Nice and calm neighbourhood, lovely staff and everything we needed.

+ 15 min walk to the main plaza and only 10 min walk to the bus station for Santa Ana volcano hike and a big supermarket. Our private room was spacious, extremely clean, and super fast WiFi. With the tiled floors and ceiling fan it was nice and cool despite the raging heat outside. Bedside table and a lamp are always great to have! Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent shared kitchen with a microwave, toaster, lots of condiments and seasonings for communal use. Great value for money and would happily stay here again :)

- Only thing that was a bit strange was that our room was on the ground floor and one of the windows faced onto the stairs, where we could clearly see people going up and down through the shutters. The room was also a little noisy from the street.

+ Great staff! Fatima also offers free walking tour and Javier does everything to help and make your stay comfortable. They even renovated a new room for us in just one day when we needed to extent our stay even though it was fully booked. Nice clean room and kitchen.

- Showers can be busy when it’s fully booked. I would recommend to install mosquito nets one the windows for the future (even though they provided us incenses which helped already a lot😊)

+ This is a very welcoming hostel! Fatima and Javier were excellent hosts and tend to be around in the afternoons. Fatima is also a tour guide in Santa Ana and took us around to some nice places and explained some history of the city and El Salvador. The neighbourhood where the hostel is located is lovely and calm. The local park hosts basketball games, dance classes and is a place for the community to relax. There are some lovely pupusarias and bakeries in the area. The central square is a 15-20 minute walk passing some along market streets which are also interesting to see. The hostel itself is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. I really appreciated the freshly ground coffee for use in a pour over machine and drinking water that is available free of charge. There is a nice courtyard with lots of seats and a large lounge. The hostel was relatively quiet when we stayed but I can see this as a great place for a group of friends or a couple to stay. Staying here was a great introduction to Santa Ana and El Salvador as a country. Thanks for everything!
