The RoadHouse Prague

Look, I'm giving this review because it's a really small hostel. If you're having bad people staying with you at the same time you're screwed. By bad I mean to say people with whom You don't vibe. I had a bad experience because I couldn't vibe with the people. Also because it is so small it doesn't have much people. I would say choose mad house instead of roadhouse if you're looking to find some people. But but but, the people at Roadhouse were really good , I'm talking about the staff.

10/10 for everything except the price. I stayed at Madhouse 11 years ago soon after they opened and had an unforgettable party experience. Now this was the perfect vibe. Superb facilities, location, beds, atmosphere and people. But at €43 a night in Prague in Spring the owners are getting greedy and perhaps they might consider getting back to the principles that made both their hostels legendary and accessable among young backpackers this past decade

very very loud at night. not enough showers / toilets. long wait in the morning, found the toilets to always be really dirty and gross :( could be because of the guests who were there the 5 days I was there but either way it was pretty nasty every time :/ also not allowed to wear shoes inside the hostel… Haven’t experienced that in over 50 hostels across 5 continents +staff constantly come into the dorms and leave the doors wide open which makes me uncomfortable as it’s a security risk :(

I wanted to love this, but some corners have been cut which wrecked it. For starters, my boyfriend and I were given two top bunks opposite from each other in the dorm (no big deal) but both of our drawers under the bottom bed were right next to the door, meaning whenever either drawer was open people constantly banged the door into the drawers trying to enter. We would have the full shut the lid, push the drawer away and let them in and then reopen again. No way of quickly accessing the drawer, ...

I had a flawless stay, except for the fact that the building lacked an elevator, which meant I had to carry my bags up the stairs

Great stay, would (and probably will) stay again lol. Was my first solo trip, so went a bit more boujee with the hostel choice and am delighted with my pick. Staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly, i wish i could shout you all out but i only have 500 characters to type on here haha Ive made some amazing friends. You get a lot of the perks of mad house, but get the more chill environment before going out with them. Definitely go to the organised events, so worth it.

The best facilities of any hostel I’ve been too, everything you could need is there. Great location too as everything is walkable. It’s only a few dorms so quite small. It wasn’t the most social when I was there as most people were quite introverted. However if you want somewhere chill to sleep but also want to go out and party you can join the more social/party sister hostel madhouse. Overall a great place to explore the city

This was such an amazing location. I can’t say enough about Jenny. She is amazing and helpful, and an absolute pro. What ruined the stay was one of the Employees, I never asked for her name but she was American. She was exceedingly awkward and rude. The weirdest part was two travelers came in one night and when checking them in she asks …”so are you guys friends or lovers? “ I was floored how deeply inappropriate and awkward that was to ask after knowing them for 12 whole seconds. Very solid hostel, curtains around the bunk and small # of people in each room make it easy to sleep. Bar crawls are SUPER FUN.

Une super auberge bien placée au cœur de Prague ! Proche du Pont Charles et de toutes les visites à faire, et dans un bâtiment calme. L'auberge est à taille humaine et très agréable. Les dortoirs sont propres et bien organisés, le box de rangement est plus grand que dans n'importe quelle autre auberge. Les lits sont confortables et la serviette de toilette est fournie. On peut y manger le soir pour 100czk, ce que je vous conseille sans hésiter. Céréales, lait, café ou thé à ...

Only note: everything in the hostel (dinner, washing etc) was paid for in cash so make sure you have cash with you if you want any of that. But a lovely home-y hostel with very chill vibes. Not the one if you want to keep to yourself but great if you want to be social and meet people. Storage is also massive and beds very comfy - you even get provided with a towel which is normally an add on in other hostels! Overall a lovely hostel, would recommend.

Best hostel I've been to

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and I made some great friends during my stay. Location is ideal as well. Very easy to join social events, but quiet at night so you can get a good nights sleep!

This is my favorite hostel I have stayed in. The location is great and feels very safe. The hostel makes a big effort to bring guests together with nightly activities like karaoke, bar crawls, and clubbing, as well as their family dinners. The staff is very friendly and personable. Overall, it’s a great vibe with great people. Additionally, this is the cleanest hostel I have stayed in. I can’t recommend it enough for your stay in Prague.

Good social hostel with events.

As a female solo traveller on my first solo trip I really enjoyed staying in this hostel!! A very positive experience for me, would really recommend to other solo travellers!!

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed in, the overall vibe is chill and social and every one of the staff and volunteers make you feel welcome, massive shoutout to Howie, Zoe and Marius who made me really enjoy my trip to Prague you three are the best! :D

Best stay ever for a solo travelers in prague.

utan tvekan bland de bästa hostelen jag besökt! Detta har allt man behöver för någon som reser solo - centralt läge, bekväma sängar men framförallt social yta som binder samman resenärer från hela världen! på fyra nätter gjorde jag allt från en middag med vin och sällskapsspel till att stänga Prags klubbar med folket man träffade här. helt otroligt ställe!

Best hostel experience I've ever had, and I feel like it'll be hard to beat! The staff are super friendly; they organize great events; they're always there to give recommendations; and, best of all, the atmosphere that they create is one where it's almost impossible to make new friends. The family dinners were always so yum and a great way to meet everyone staying in the hostel. Great balance between party and connecting with new people.

Ich habe meine Zeit im Roadhouse Hostel sehr genossen. Es ist ein kleineres Hostel mit netten Mitarbeitern und sauberen Räumen. Es gibt einen gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum in dem es leicht ist Kontakte zu knüpfen. Auch beim gemeinsamen Abendessen bietet eine Gelegenheit andere Gäste kennenzulernen. Da die Meisten, die zum Party machen da sind ins Schwesterhostel Madhouse Prag unterkommen, fand ich die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm.

Excellent stay at the Roadhouse. Staff is extra friendly and helpful. Not a single complaint! O.k., one quibble — it was hard finding the front door the first time out and there is a delay between ringing for entry and the ring being answered. Best move — ring once and wait!

I would stay in this hostel a million times over if I could. Incredible atmosphere, great staff, clean facilities, comfortable beds, and it is so easy to make friends. It truly feels like a family

Unos de los más lindos hostel que fui. Lo recomiendo al cien. El personal es un amor! Te ayudan en todo, las habitaciones re lindas, limpias, cómodas al igual que los baños. Se arma un ambiente super lindo y cálido al ser un hostel más pequeño más “familiar” vayan si o si.

Talvez o melhor hostel que ja fiquei. Clima incrivel, programação social diaria, incluindo jantar coletivo. Fornecem toalha, camas com cortinas, estoque de bagagem. Me deixaram ficar ate 23h e jantar, meu onibus saia so 00h. Tem cha e cafe 24hrs. Recomendo 100%!!
