Samay Hostel

Really fun social vibe and sweet staff who will help with anything! Location is decent in Juayua and super accessible. Unfortunately there was no hot water to shower with and there were ants in my bed each day/night, though Juayua is in the jungle so bugs are somewhat expected. All in all, a decent stay for a few nights in Juayua

Don’t know why hostel got such high ratings. The staff is lovely but weren’t ever around. Tried to rent a scooter and nobody answered the phone or text message and no staff to be found to rent one. Needs more than two bathrooms shared for all the dorm rooms. No water pressure in shower it was a trickle. Little bugs on bathroom floor. No hand towels or anything in bathroom. Rooms are basic no A/C was stuffy in dorm and the lockers barely fits anything. Moved to bourbon hostel wayyy better hos...

There was a strange vibe I didn’t like. I felt like interrupting the people that stayed long term there. There are not many common rooms and the town doesn’t offer a lot. The host and his mother were really really nice! They helped me a lot and she was preparing sometimes food for the hostel! So nice!

I like Samay Hostel, especially as it is one of the only budget choices in Juayua. The guys running it were super cool and the location was great. However, the bathrooms could DEFINITELY use some cleaning, as well as bathmats- they get quite slippery and wet. There is no hot water, and we did have the water cut out once. The rest of the hostel is clean, the beds are big, the kitchen is nice, and there is free water. I enjoyed my stay.

View is amazing from the balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful! Would be nice to have curtains at the bed. Really liked that there were shelves to place your stuff. Did the 7 waterfalls tour through them and loved it!

Really good kitchen. No ac but the temperature was not too hot anyways. And a nice view over the city from the terrace. Its a bit up the hill, but everything in juayua is in walking distance.

Great place to stay in Flores

The waterfall tour is truly amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice kitchen. The rooms are small and crowded. Located out of the city centre. Everything is clean. Not social at all though.

Great hostel! Had such a cozy, social vibe. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Lots of info about tours and transport and stuff to do in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

such a lovely hostel!! private room was great value - it even had a little balcony ☺️ the hostel is in a great location with really nice views of Juayua. it’s easy to arrange activities from the hostel and just wander about. the staff were really nice. i gave 4/5 for facilities because there are only 2 toilets (to my knowledge) but everything else was perfect a great local restaurant nearby you should go to if you stay called something like ricon verde…

Great hostel! Carolina is so sweet and helpful. I loved how spacious the place feels, especially the bathrooms :) Great WiFi. Nice views. Close to center of town and to the bus stop. Loved the seven waterfall hike. Also good vibes, met some great people here.

J’ai adoré mon séjour à Samay! Dès que j’ai mis un pied dans l’auberge je me suis sentie comme à la maison, c’est rare et ça fait plaisir. Les espaces sont très propres, les lits sont grands et confortables, la cuisine est parfaite pour cuisiner, les gens qui y travaillent sont adorables et la terrasse a une magnifique vue sur le volcan. J’ai adoré mon séjour à Samay et si j’avais pu prolonger je l’aurai fait! Je recommande donc à 100%

Mais quel beau séjour à Samay! Je me suis sentie chez moi et j'ai enfin pu relaxer dès que j'ai mis les pieds à l'intérieur. C'est grand, propre et bien emménagé!! Il y a de grandes fenêtres, sans parler de la vue sur la terrasse en haut! Les lits sont confortables et très grands; beaucoup d'espace (chambre à 6), plein d'endroits ou poser nos choses, en plus d'avoir notre propre salle de bain. L'ambiance est chaleureuse; tout le monde se parle!! Aucun commentaire moindrement négatif ...

Everything was amazing!

I love this hostel. It’s so cute and the staff are really friendly. Double bed bunk beds in the dorms - amazing!! I’d actually recommend the 6 bed dorm over the 4 bed as it’s got more space and feels nice and light and more fresh air. Scooter rental was great - good quality scooter.

Fantastic family-run hostel. Really friendly and helpful team who truly wanted to help you have the best stay (eg renting mopeds etc). Lovely communal kitchen and the terrace had the best sunrise & sunset views! Booking the 7 Waterfalls tour through the hostel was AMAZING and a great way to make friends. 3 nights wasn’t enough, we wish we could’ve stayed longer as it was so fun and relaxing.

This place is awesome! I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough because the staff is so amazing. In my four months of travel this hostel has the friendliest staff. Very homey feeling and very clean. The man at the front desk even had his mom fix my shorts to make them smaller since they were too big on me free of charge. They are amazing. Please stay here

My favourite hostel in all of El Salvador and probably one of the best I've ever stayed at! Beautiful, spacious, VERY CLEAN, lovely staff, quiet location. Bright, clean kitchen; comfy double bed bunks in my dorm; clean bathrooms; and a great vibe with the other backpackers who were staying there. Did the 7 Waterfalls tour through them with Antonio - excellent! 100% recommend this hostel if you are a kind, chill, friendly person who appreciates a clean & tranquilo space. I had a perfect stay there.

Lovely hostel, with a nice rooftop from where you have a good view over the town and the volcanos. The hostel also provides good tours to the waterfalls and scooters to rent. Would definitely recommend it.

Small and quiet but lovely hostel & the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Een lekker schoon en rustig hostel, net iets buiten het centrum van Juayua. Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk; ze hebben zelfs een voorraadhok leeggehaald, gordijnen opgehangen en een ventilator geregeld, omdat ik anders geen plek had om te slapen.

Social hostel with good services. Motorbikes for rent are nice and the staff is nice
