Mostar Downtown Hostel

-The deposit on Hostelworld was not taken off by the owner, which meant that I had to pay that amount again + the room fee. Annoying as I had to pay more ATM fees to get money out. -Room with 6 beds had two plugs. -Zero privacy in room, a weird American even woke me up in the night. -strange atmosphere in the hostel, no real communal area, feel like you're intruding at your aunt's house

除了價格便宜一點完全想不出有任何優點，就如同之前旅客們反應一樣這個老太太非常不友善，首先他完全不會說英文，其次是她不提供刷卡就算了而且連歐元也都不收就是堅持要旅客去換當地貨幣來支付才行，再者廚房內連基本都沙拉油和鹽都沒有大部份的鍋具也都是破破爛爛，最後則是明明大家是花錢來入住但是她給人的感覺好像在收容難民一樣態度非常差，真心的奉勸�...

one of the worst hostels i stayed at... work team not helpful at all..not providing any kind of facilities and not transparent provided whwn booking private room with toilet to find out when arrived that it is private room but toilet is shared and outside the room...very far from city center..very bad experience i dont recommend at all

My overall experience was quite unpleasant. Once I arrived there was an old lady speaking no English with an unwelcome attitude. The only thing she asked was my name and money. No “hi” not any greeting at all. There was no internet the whole night. Next day I checked out and left my laundry for cleaning and retuned back at 1pm. My battery died and I asked her if I could charge it to for 10 minutes to be able to find my way around. She literally showed me the door and asked to leave

We had a lot of issues at this hostel. We had booked a private room with an ensuite but were taken to a seperate property from the main hostel to stay in and were told the bathroom would be shared if other guests arrived. Our door didn’t lock so we would only get a key for it if other guests arrived. When we checked in, while our room was clean, the bathroom and shared living facilities weren’t. Then, the toilet in our accomodation didn’t work. They fixed it for us but it was only temporar...

Los hosts tratan de tener todo limpio pero notamos que había manchas en el baño que llevaban un día o dos, en el check out sentimos que ya nos estaban corriendo para salir porque nos pidieron las llaves desde antes de las 10a.m. y la señora nos seguía por todos lados, fue algo incómodo.

We had an okay stay at this hostel - however it does not match the pictures. There was no cute colourful outdoor area for chilling as photographed. Other hostels seemed to offer a lot more in regards to the day trip to surrounding areas - this one starts at 12 and does not visit everywhere but costs the same? It felt also that there was not enough bathrooms. Kitchen had no fridge space - I don't believe the fridge is ever cleared out? Was given out to for doing my own laundry in my own wash bag

The women that checked us in spoke no English which is not a problem in its self but she kept speaking to us endlessly in Croatian I think idk, and I kept trying to use google translate I told her on translate so many times I don’t understand what your saying, she made paying and check in painful, then talked to us for what felt like forever while we didn’t understand a single word, one of the more odd interactions I’ve had traveling. This is more of a Airbnb shared room situation. No atmosphere at all. Pictures of the rooms and bathrooms are accurate but the rest don’t match up. It’s grandma’s house with two rooms for hostel guests. I would never think of it as a hostel. Very close to the center of town though.

Convenable Les points positifs : plusieurs couvertures disponibles pour l’hiver, hôte très accueillante, explique ce qu’il y a à voir dans le coin. Draps propres. Les points négatifs : matelas pas très confortable (ressors), salle de bain pas très propre, poubelle pas vidée (sent mauvais dans la cuisine).

i was the only guest so i cant say anything about the atmosphere... it was pretty good besides that

Friendly staff and good atmosphere to meet people but quite basic facilities. Feels like you are part of the family with their young son hanging around a lot

Family who runs it is very friendly and honest. Small hostel (3 rooms?) but centrally located. Would return!

I had a comfortable stay and was made to feel very welcome. They also organised a trip for us and gave suggestions on places to go. I would definitely stay again

The owners are the best! Always friendly and eager to help. The place feels more like a house than a hostel and I loved it! Would recommend

10/10 hostel. The owners are so kind and funny. The atmosphere is really social with everyone sitting in the common room. The owners also took us to a shisha bar and also to a local restaurant. They also run every single tour possible.

It's a good stay for a night but there isn't much atmosphere, I may have also gotten spoiled by some of the other hostels in Mostar

Hosts were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help out. This was more of a family atmosphere rather than hostel atmosphere, which was really nice. Great location close to old bridge, and really good advice on where to eat and what to do. Highly recommend for budget travellers looking for a cozy place to stay.

Had a really wonderful stay here. Sonja and her family bring a true Bosnian experience and are some of the most welcoming hosts I have had. The Wifi was a bit spotty in places but that was the only issue that I had. Definitely a quieter hostel in my experience. Vasili, Sonja’s son was the best tour guide you could ask for. Don’t let his age fool you, he is the smartest kid I’ve gotten to know. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Can’t wait to return!

Sonia and her mom is so kind. They help you in everything you need in mostar. And the house is like a family house.,they treat you like family. Highly recommended hostel in mostar! Thank you sonia and family!

We had a great time here! The room was clean and easily accessible for our very late check in. Location was a short walk from the bus and right near the Old Bridge. Sonja and her family were wonderful, offering tips, walking tours and waterfall trips. I would definitely stay here next time in Mostar.

I’ve been to a lot of hostels all round the world and this is for sure one of the best. Sonja and her family are the kindest people you could ever meet - nothing was too much trouble and you feel like part of the family playing games with her son (who is a legend, he’s a big fan of dance monkey). The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the day tour from the hostel, Sonja’s husband is very knowledgeable and gives his personal story. Amazing place ! Love Tom and...

Het was echt een super leuk hostel. Het was heel persoonlijk, wat wij persoonlijk heel fijn vonden. Ook was het erg sociaal. We zouden het zeker aanraden.

I stayed in a private room for a few nights. The room was comfortable. Not the most social place, but maybe that was just for me since my private room was located outside of the main hostel area. Decent option very close to Mostar Old Bridge.

Lovely hostel! The owners are super nice and welcoming and they help you with everything. The overall atmosphere is very warm, familiar and social - great if you want to meet other people and connect🥰 We really enjoyed our stay!

I spent 10 nights here and still wished I had more. Sonja and her family made me like I was home, I felt comfortable the entire time and really enjoyed making meals in the kitchen. The room was clean and clean provided free towels and always looked after me. They are in a great location with an easy walk into the old town and surrounded by bakeries and supermarkets. There was a lot of laughs and memories made. I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. Thank you Sonja and Co
