Urban Garden Porto Central Hostel

Overall, the hostel is not bad. Nonetheless the price is ridiculously high: I paid 47 euro to sleep 1 night in a 8-persons dorm. These are normal prices in Scandinavia, but not in Portugal. Also, I found really annoying the breakfast policy: if I pay it the previous day, the price is 4 euro; instead, if I decide to buy it on the same day, the price is 7 euro ( S E V E N) !!!

The room was ok, the bathroom should definitely be more soundproof tho as you can hear anyrhing. There was also some construction work going on during my stay which was slightly annoying. The outdoor area is very nice tho. Unfortunately this hostel seems to attract some very weird people, one guy was grunting like a fkn pig non stop, other people stomping through the room at any time of the night, phones ringing etc...therfore i wouldnt stay here again

Felt safe, but pictures look way cleaner than reality. Dirty rooms and bathroom was not good. Location is also not good, it’s safe area but not in a cool area. Go to the lost inn. I went there after a night here and it was 12x better.

A completely fine hostel, but I wouldn’t come back in first hand. It was lacking a vibe, and it felt okay clean but a bit run down. I liked that there was a curtain, fan by the bed, and a big enough place to safely store my bag. Was quite close to walk to the sites, but not right in the middle of it all. The bed creaked a bit when turning over. The garden was nice to chill in. Not dirty but not super clean either.

Really nice to have a comfy capsule bed and they garden and building was lovely, not really the best spot for solo travellers, the hostel has no social acitivities or communal seating was pretty lonley, i imagine better with friends

It’s an average place. There are better hostels in Porto, in every way. They should separate the shower/toilet combination, have 24 hour reception, better breakfast, AC, etc.

Nice hostel, very quiet and lots of rules. No atmosphere. Suited to older travellers

Nice hostel but too expensive… Breakfast was very simple.

Estremamente accogliente, lo staff e il proprietario sono super gentili e disponibili. Se cerchi un ostello social, non è questo, ma è molto tranquillo e ti fa sentire a casa. Spazi e bagno erano puliti, i letti molto comodi e dotati di tendina per la privacy. L'ostello è vicino al centro, ma la zona è tranquilla e il giardino interno è perfetto per rilassarsi (bonus: ci sono due gatti bellissimi). È stata la mia prima esperienza in ostello e mi sono trovata molto bene

Accolte con il sorriso, con pazienza ci sono state spiegate le regole dell'ostello, le disponibilità della struttura oltre al servizio previsto dalla prenotazione. Tutto ciò che occorre avere per una notte o più di passaggio in serenità, ambiente super giovane che ha rallegrato i cuori di due donne che super giovani sono già state. Adorabile!!! 🪷🥰🌸

Absolutely great stay. I am very shy and found the staff to be so pleasant and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and I had a incredibly quiet night - if I hadn't seen the backpacks on the floor I would never have known there were other people there! Would stay again if I have the chance to come back to Porto :)

Nice hostel, rooms look good, available pleseant garden with bar. In night it was quiet, beds are covered from all sides, so there is privacy in dorm rooms, available 2 bathrooms in one room so no problems with availability.

Overall I had a really great stay, and would stay here again. I think the Pros more than outweigh any of the Cons. Pros: -The bed set up is great and private -Bathrooms are cleaned multiple times a day -There are five hammocks -Tons of stores and places to eat close by Cons: -There were flies in the common area / eating space -Breakfast doesn’t seem worth the cost -One of the receptionists was loudly sick -Can’t use padlock for your locker

Had a great stay!Staff were lovely,the room was spacious and the curtains around the bed make it private. The garden was beautiful and its in a great location. I'll definitely be back.

Its an amazing hostel with a beautiful garden and amazing staff! (Thanks Christina and Fanny!) Well accessible from almost all places to travel and eat in Porto. Clean rooms and washrooms are a plus!

Staff was lovely. Was not much mingling with other travelers. We were in a mixed dorm... beds all had curtains. The floor did kind of shake when people walked around the room, which was a bit disruptive. Toilet/shower area felt cramped. Nice overall

Fantastic hostel and services. On summer with the garden must be a plus. All very good set up. Beds comfortable and with courtains to have privacy and protection from the light. All the staff was very friendly and willing to help. One member, a girl from Colombia, was super helpful and friendly. The location it is fantastic. The only "but" I could find it is that the common areas are not open till 7,30, so before that time you can set up your own breakfast or have a tea. Obligado!

Clean, safe, staff were excellent and very professional. Felt like staying in upscale boutique hotel Kitchen facilities were great as was the buffet breakfast (great value)

The hostel was lovely, I loved the garden and the cats so so much. The bed were nice and spacious and I really appreciated having a shelf in the bed. The staff were always really friendly and the hostel had a relaxed feeling which was great 😄

Hostel muito bem localizado, da para visitar as principais atrações de Porto à pé.O quarto que fiquei tinha dois banheiros dentro,o que é muito bom. Os beliches não ficam uns frente aos outros, o que de é um lado é bom para ter privacidade, mas de outro talvez dificulte a interação. Fui no ano novo e fazia frio,então não pude aproveitar o espaço do lado de fora que parece legal. Algumas vezes faltava staff na recepção/bar. Exigem que você faça uma fiança de 10 euros e devolvem ...

Really nice stay! The late night check-in was superb.. never seen before, they even put the reading light on with a big paper on my dorm bed with my name on.. very welcoming..

Great place to stay, ideal location and super comfy beds. Kitchen is clean with great facilities. Would 100% recommend! Incredible value for money
