This is a very small hostel, so it's more like a B&B, but with shared rooms. The location is good, I think. Very close to the steps up to the castle, and in a quiet, nice area. Much of Bled was very noisy with plenty of tourists, loud music, and the like. The bed was made already, which is rare for hostels in general, and that I appreciated a lot. Barbara was a great host, very friendly, and ready to provide the information needed to have a good time in Bled. A big plus is that there's a kitchen

Très bon emplacement à quelques minutes seulement du lac et des restaurants. Un supermarché en face, très pratique ! Tout s'est bien passé. La chambre était un peu petite pour 4, qu'une toute petite fenêtre et une literie à revoir. Des multiprises seraient un plus car très peu de prises dans la chambre à portée de nos lits. Une seule salle de bain à l'étage des chambres (une salle de bain et des WC au RDC si besoin mais pas très pratique). Cuisine et petite terrasse correctes. Me...
Good location just a few minutes from the lake and restaurants. A supermarket across the street, very convenient! Everything went well. The room was a bit small for 4, a very small window and a bed to review. Multi-purpose would be a plus because very few things in the bedroom are within reach of our beds. Only one bathroom on the floor of the bedrooms (a bathroom and toilets in the DRC if needed but not very convenient). Kitchen and small terrace correct. Thank you very much Barbara !
Muy amable la mujer que nos recibio. La ubicacion muy buena para ver el castillo y el lago. no tuvieron ningun problema con cuidarnos la mochila mientras recorriamos a la espera del bus.
The location is very good with a view of the castle and the lake. they had no problem taking care of our backpack while we were waiting for the bus.
Barbra was so wonderful! Her place is super clean, and a 5 minute walk from the lake. She was super helpful with tips for local activities and where to eat.

For a super night, the furnishings are no longer on the latest Stand and very loud Beds but very neat Owner of the rather familiar Hostel :)
Small, clean, quiet hostel. The staff is friendly and the location is good. However, there are no evening activities or a large common area to enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend the night, this is the right place.
Nice people, laid back hostel that is clean and has free parking. Not much common space so it’s not the best option if you’re looking make friends. The woman who runs it is very nice and helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Barbara is so lovely she made the hostel feel really homely. The hostel is spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed and is always open which is good if you need to get up early and make food. The location is perfect for the lake and really close to the bus station. I also found it really easy to meet other travelers here, there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. I felt safe here and there were lockers for valuables.
Barbara was super nice and helpful. The room was okay, just the 2 bunk beds and a small chest of drawers. The beds were super squeaky though. The kitchen had all equipments needed and was clean. The bathroom was okay too. The balcony was great! You feel like you live in a real house with shared common rooms (which is pretty much the case). We were only a few people so it was okay, but it must get pretty crowded if all rooms are full.

This is one of the best spots I’ve stayed at. Absolutely fantastic location, extremely clean, quiet, and the host Ms. Barbara was wonderful and very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure talking with her and learning about the area. My time here in Bled wouldn’t have been as special if I hadn’t stayed here.
Barbara is super nice and accomodating! The rooms are clean, have a nice view, are spacious and overrall great. All the appliances work, the kitchen is fresh and so is the bathroom. Super nice with a balcony too! We met some nice new friends who were staying there as well, so kudos for that. I highly recommend staying here! 10/10 (:

Perfect hostel for exploring Bled- very close to the lake and castle. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Brilliant. Close to lake Bled and in a nice, quiet area. Barbara is extremely helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit and sightseeing opportunities. Couldn’t have been better.
This was a great stay!! Barbra was so so sweet and fells like you're staying in her home kinda. It was very small but very easy to meet good people. Great location and the balcony was amazing!! Would stay again. A little pricier than some hostels, and cause its so small you need to make your own fun but bled has so much to do, and was super easy to chat and meet people in the hostel. loved it!
Honestly the kindest and best hostel host you could wish for, regularly checks in in the morning with a smile, and the small number of people in each room made it really quite reasonable. Great price, not a party hostel, just a fantastic place to stay! Facilities were perfect too.

Ich habe mich im Sobe Smolej sehr wohl gefühlt, Barbara hat mich sehr nett in ihrem kleinen Hostel aufgenommen. Man lernt super schnell die anderen Reisenden kennen und wird durch die gemütliche Atmosphäre schnell eine Gruppe. Also super familiäre Atmosphäre und perfekt um andere Reisende kennenzulernen
I felt very comfortable in Sobe Smolej, Barbara took me very nicely in her little Hostel. you get to know the other Travelers super fast and get to know the other Travelers by the cozy atmosphere schnell eine Gruppe. also super familiar atmosphere and perfect to meet other Travelers
Best hostel in Bled! Perfectly located, super clean, and cozy enough to feel just like home. Barbara was incredibly helpful and gave us the best advice :)
Small, clean, quiet hostel. The staff is friendly and the location is good. However, there are no evening activities or a large common area to enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend the night, this is the right place.

We stayed in Hostel Smolej as a family in the 4 bed dorm in August. The hostel is clean and really well situated, but the best thing about it is Barbara, who is a fantastic host. She went well above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and she’s a font of knowledge on Bled. Thanks Barbara, we had a wonderful stay!
This place has such a lovely homey feel with a great kitchen and balcony. Barbara is so incredibly kind and responsive to emails. I had gotten into a cycling accident and the hostel I was staying at was completely booked up. She let me check in early which was super helpful. Fantastic location next to the Mercator store and very close to the lake. Because it’s a smaller hostel you can easily meet other people. The kitchen has some free pasta, spices, etc. Highly recommend!

It's a bit more expensive, but compared to the other hostels in bled it's okay. It was really nice and clean
