Chalet-Gite Chamoniard Volant Hostel Chamonix

- 二楼、三楼没有洗手的地方，上完厕所得到一楼洗手，很不方便

- Estaba lejos de Chamonix. Las sábanas había que pagarlas y encima eran de “Hospitales de Francia”, manchas de sangre incluidas. Se notaba que ni las habitaciones ni los baños estaban limpios y hacía un calor horrible para dormir.

+ When a roommate got sick and vomited, I immediately alerted the staff, who were initially sympathetic but claimed no alternative beds were available. Just 5min later, I headed back to the reception which was closed, a guest gave me a number and told me apparently they had rooms for emergencies, so I called back and was met with rudeness... the staff member repeatedly asked for my room name (despite me providing it, but I only had the room number in mind) and showed no empathy. She did nothing but complain, like oh, it's bad but ugh that's going to be so annoying for me to clean. At no point did I hear any type of apology when it was past 10pm and I'd gone to bed early because I had to wake up at 4:30am... Suddenly, a bed “magically” became available when I started being a bit more stern, but it was in a male dorm, which I suspect is why it wasn’t offered earlier. I would have preferred this option to staying in a room that smelled of vomit. Would've been nice of the staff to tell me beforehand than put me in the situation of calling back to escalate and standing up for myself. Additionally, I left with bed bug bites. Honestly such an awful experience, vomit and beg bugs, thanks...

- Terrible sleeping conditions. Very short bunks, Keypad to get into each door room door makes noise everytime someone enters the room overnight. Bunks are unbelievably creaky when neighbour above rolls over Everytime someone moves on floor above it sends major creaking noises to floor below - waking up people in our dorm. Check in lady was unkind - split up my partner and I and put is in separate dorms 20 minute walk out of town Whole place needs a really good clean and bathrooms not so functional No sense of community at this dorm Passive aggressive signs everywhere Would stay elsewhere

- Il y avait des punaises de lit dans un des lits, et après en avoir informé l'accueil au téléphone aucun geste n'a été fait la dame au téléphone nous a raccroché au nez.

+ Very homey chalet vibes. Easy going friendly staff. Great guests.

- Although they list it, it’s odd that bedsheets aren’t included and are an additional 7€, pillow is a bit flat. Staff organizing breakfast are super sweet however I was expecting more selection than just cereal bread and jam for 9€. Also odd that toilets are seperate from sinks.

+ Auberge de Jeunesse bien tenue, simple mais fait le job. Personnel sympathique, c'était propre et les équipements à dispo sont suffisants. Au calme mais peu de marche pour revenir en ville. Option pdj possible, simple là aussi mais fait le job. Très bien pour une étape à petit budget, vu la moyenne des prix à Cham...

- Douches peu nombreuses, je n'ai pas eu à attendre mais avec l'auberge souvent complète ça peut vite devenir l'embouteillage. Pas vraiment d'espace de vie commune (hormis la cuisine), seule la réception permet de se poser confortablement dans un canapé, mais aux horaires d'ouverture... Encore une fois, pour une soirée et si vous sortez manger en ville, c'est pas bien gênant. La literie reste basique aussi, mais c'est dans les attendus.

+ Fantastic place to see if you are on a budget ski / snowboarding holiday. Great location.
