Nissia Kamares

+ During my recent stay in the hotel Nissia Kamares in Kos we were subject to unnecessary and unfair direct discrimination that has left me disgusted. This experience ruined what was meant to be a much-needed family holiday and as a mother travelling alone with three young children, including my severely autistic and non-verbal son, I expected basic courtesy, understanding, and a safe environment. The discriminatory and unwelcoming behaviour that was displayed by multiple members of the hotel staff (including the manager) was disgusting. My son is severely autistic and non-verbal. As part of his condition, he engages in stimming behaviours such as making repetitive noises and jumping/flapping- something that is not disruptive or harmful, but a natural and necessary expression of his neurological condition and his attempt to self-regulate. Naturally this is likely to be heightened in unfamiliar environments. Instead of demonstrating understanding and patience or at the very least basic human decency, the staff repeatedly made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome and at times unsafe. I was made to feel as though our son’s presence was a nuisance. No parent should be made to feel as though their child is a burden- disabled or not. Shockingly, the mistreatment began on our very first night, setting a distressing tone for the rest of the holiday. I was in our room alone with my three children when hotel staff knocked on the door and confronted me, demanding that I “find a solution to keep him quiet and shut him up” referring to my autistic son’s stimming behaviours, such as vocalising and jumping. These are entirely normal and necessary responses for him in a new and overwhelming environment, so this was an utterly inappropriate and insensitive demand. The staff could see first- hand the struggle I was having but continued to knock on the door on a number of occasions and proceeded to bring the police with them, each knock getting more aggressive.

Les points positifs : - accueil très agréable ( Monsieur) - central dans la ville - à côté de l’aéroport - joli jardin Les points négatifs : - une cour centrale, donc du vis à vis et bruyant. - matelas pas propre, à ce point, inadmissible! - traces sur les portes wc - ventilation pas propre - cheveux des précédents occupants - hotel trop cher pour la prestation ( 200 euros )la nuit. Je ne recommande pas.

+ De mooie omgeving van de appartementen, het feit dat je op een mooi eiland begeeft

- Zwembad extreem druk, lastig om een bedje te vinden. Onze wc spoelde verschillende keren niet door, werd direct opgepakt maar geeft je toch een onrustig gevoel.

+ Sehr freundliches Personal. Helle, einladende Anlage. Sehr schöne Bepflanzung. Großer Pool. Zentrale Lage, nahe am Strand und an den vielen Restaurants.

- Die einzelnen Wohnungen sind sehr klein und nah aneinander. Es sind eher Zimmer mit einer kleinen Kochgelegenheit. Die Badezeiten im Pool sind eingeschränkt. Leider nur von 8 - 20 Uhr möglich. Das ist sehr schade.

+ Locatie is top in Kardamena. Alles op loopafstand en gelegen in een mooi hofje met zeer vriendelijk personeel! Leuk ingericht appartement. Prima ontbijt, mag per dag kiezen of je dit wilt. Hebben wij zelf maar 1x gedaan, omdat er zoveel leuke ontbijtplekjes in Kardamena aan zee zijn. Topweekje!

- Het is helaas wel erg gehorig. Je hoort alle stemmen en bewegingen van je naaste buren en met name ook de bovenburen. Verder heerlijke week gehad!

+ The superior suite was excellent with everything you could want. The shower was very good.

+ Absolutely everything on our trip was exceptional. The staff so friendly and helpful. The place is a little piece of heaven within those walls, and every room comes with its own free cat to play with when you are bored. Seriously though, this place is top notch, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone for making our holiday so good.

+ Hotel bardzo zadbany, pokoje dobrze wyposażone, dokładnie sprzątane. Personel bardzo pomocny, życzliwy, dbający o komfort turystów. Dobra lokalizacja, blisko do plaży, sklepów i wszelkich atrakcji, a zarazem cicho i spokojnie. Bardzo dobre śniadania.

+ Ruhiges und sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Gastfreundschaft. Frühstück war ausreichend und wer mehr Abwechslung braucht, kann sich in der eigenen Küche gut selbst versorgen. Lage und Ausstattung war perfekt.

+ Das Personal war überaus freundlich und flexibel als wir zB früher angereist sind. Es ist eine familiäre Atmosphäre und die Lage in die Innenstadt ist perfekt. In der Nähe gibt es einen Supermarkt und der Pool lädt zum Verweilen ein

- Wenn es etwas anzumerken gibt, dann dass der TV gern als Smart TV ausgerüstet werden könnte. Vielleicht war das aber auch nur unserer. Sonst war es ein toller Aufenthalt.

+ This place is simply gorgeous. The decor and the Greek style of the little apartments are so pretty, and even though it's October, there are still so many beautiful flowers around. It is so central to everything you need, a short distance to the airport, the harbour, the beach, shops and restaurants. The pool area is lovely, and there is no shortage of sun loungers to go around. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. What made this place special for me were the staff. They were so thoughtful and went that extra mile for me. I loved that personal touch, it really is priceless. The people that I met whilst on holiday have been coming back for years, and i can see why.

+ Das Hotel ist sehr schön und sauber. Zwar liegt das Hotel nicht direkt am Meer, hat aber trotzdem sehr gute Lage, da alles in 5 Min erreichbar ist. Das Perdonal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

- Nichts.

+ Schöner begrünter Innenhof und sehr gepflegt. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt.

- Frühstück ist ok könnte aber etwas Abwechslung vertragen.

+ Staff excellent and helpful Room was clean and enjoyed the amenities. Close to shops. Beds comfortable and nice bathroom
