Only hostel Ive ever been to where you can’t drink your own drinks in the hostel

L’hostel est beau, mais le service est moyen. La réception est débordée en permanence, donc vous patientez toujours longtemps, et les services sont chers et vos consignes non respectées (séparer blanc et couleur pour une lessive par exemple, avec la couleur qui a déteint à l’arrivée…). De plus rien n’est fait pour que les voyageurs échangent ensemble (groupe whatsapp comme on voit partout ailleurs). Rien d’insurmontable mais au prix payé on peut attendre un meilleur serv...

Staff were super slow at check in. Definitely need more people working around check in time/when buses/shuttles arrive around noon/1 pm. Bathroom in 4b female dorm needed to be cleaned upon arrival. Toilet was dirty. Super stuffy room since they turn off AC except from 9 pm to 9 am and wouldnt turn it below 25 C because of “bad reviews about it being too cold.” A bit expensive overall for the living situation and lack of AC but nice free events.

Das Personal (insb. Alfredo) ist nett und super hilfsbereit bei allem, was man organisieren möchte. Ich hatte zwei verschiedene Zimmer und beide rochen sehr muffig. Bäder und Küche sind teilweise ziemlich eklig, auch wenn die Putzleute sehr bemüht sind. Pool ebenfalls etwas dreckig, Preise im Restaurant gehoben (Cappuccino 7$). Insgesamt war es ok, aber würde nicht nochmal da übernachten.

Nice facilities and good dorm. However no social vibe, many couples or groups. The tours by the hostel are too expensive and not well organized. Staff rather unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend

Incredible staff ! Wish I could remember the guy at the front desks name, starts with an A. What a polite helpful man !! Would highly recommend the private outside rooms!

I loved this hostel! It was the perfect mix of social/atmosphere and rest/relaxation. I stayed in one of the huts. The fan kept it relatively comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and available when I needed them. The hostel-planned activities and excursions were really fun. I thought the food and bar were a little too expensive and I heard a few grumbles that the property is stingy with aircon, but overall this is a great base for anyone who wants to explore the Arenal volcano area. Will return.

Best hostel in La Fortuna. Loads of activities during the day and everyone encouraged to get involved in the evening too with karaoke/quiz nights. Overall vibe was great and met some awesome people there - recommend to anyone staying in La Fortuna.

A lovely hostel to stay at. The staff were super helpful. As a solo traveller, it would have been nice to have more social events in the evening to help meet other people and to have a staff member to help get activities started. Good stay.

J’ai adoré cet établissement. Le lieu était magnifique, le rapport qualité prix très corrects, l’emplacement très bien. Les dortoirs disposent d’air conditionné. J’ai aussi beaucoup aimé les activités proposées par l’auberge, et la gentillesse du personnel et des volontaires. Bref je recommande !

What to say?? I have traveled a lot, this is one of the best hostel ever (if not the best)! It has everything you need, you feel safe, confortable and flexible. I forgot some clothes in the room and the staff (Annie) was so nice rhat they handledthe delivery to San Jose for me!

Top Hostel Adresse! Das Hostel gibt sich viel Mühe mit sozialen Aktivitäten und die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und nicht aufdringlich. Hängematten wären noch ein gutes Upgrate zum Verweilen gewesen.

Viajero La Fortuna was absolutely amazing, the staff was super friendly and the hostel was super social and had events every night for the people staying. They had a full bar and kitchen where you could order food from. Overall it was a very good experience and would absolutely book again

my stay was great! the place had so many amenities, the staff was lovely, and it's right in the heart of fortuna so you can walk to a bunch of different shops/restaurants and even the rope swing! it's very easy to meet people here too!

great hostel for la fortuna. rooms were spacious and clean. staff were friendly and helpful. kitchen is smaller so during peak times you can be waiting a while to use dishes and stove tops. pool is good and have lots of chances to socialise. curtains on beds are nice and create some privacy. all round perfect place to stay in la fortuna!!

Great hostel. They even make your bed everyday. Was upgraded from a 10 bed to a 6 bed. Easy to meet new people and great free activities every day. Would stay again in a heartbeat

I really enjoyed my stance there, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The only problem was the high price of drinks at the bar.

Das Hostel ist ein größeres Hostel mit einer guten Pool Area, es könnte 1,2 Liegen mehr geben, aber das hat jetzt auch nicht zu sehr gestört. Das Personal, besonders die Frau am Empfang, war super nett. Lediglich die Sauberkeit der Duschen und Toiletten könnte ein bisschen besser sein. Das kann aber auch gut an den anderen Gästen gelegen haben. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt :)
