MEININGER Hamburg City Center

Das Zimmer war schlecht, Badezimmer war SEHR eng und schmutzig. Es gibt ein großen Unterschied zwischen Bildern und Zimmern in wahrheit. Kein gutes Erfahrung. Nicht zu Empfehlen.

Impossible to sleep with people changing the bed linen at 1AM with the lights on and making noise.

hilariously overpriced. not only considering the main centre is ages away but the fact that you dont even a privacy curtain on your bunk. €15-20 a night is the MAX I'd pay. not 40.

« Séjour » très désagréable. J’ai du partir une nuit plus tôt que prévu. Un groupe prenait toute la place dans la toute petite cuisine, m’a volé ma nourriture. Ils ont fait du bruit toute la nuit. La douche était bouchée : impossible de se doucher sans faire déborder l’eau. Honteux. Et « city center » = mensonger. L’hostel est à 30 minutes du centre en transports.

Auberge de jeunesse impersonnelle et sans charme. Le dortoir où j'étais n'était pas propre. Le prix à la nuitée dans les dortoirs est un peu cher.

**Average hotel with room for improvement** The hotel met expectations in some areas but unfortunately fell short in several others. The room was spacious and minimally decorated, but the blackout curtains were ineffective, and the room was quite noisy. The bed was standard and on the firmer side, which I personally prefer when staying in hotels. No in bed privacy, only small lockers, guests eating in room, guests disturbing main areas after hours. Only one shower for 8 bed, toilet odors coming into room. Little or no English speaking staff

Allow people play music and sing at 2am in a room with 8 beds should not be normal

Close to Altona station, very generic, clean hostel - stayed one night and it was fine. 2.50 shots but not much atmosphere at the bar. Extremely overpriced due to Beyonce concert but otherwise no major complaints. Regi on the front desk was amazing, he was the only one working when I arrived and somehow managed to serve everyone at the bar, check in about 20 people and even went to get bedding for me which the housekeeping staff had forgotten. All whilst being friendly and kind to everyone.

This hostel had no social aspect. If you want to go into the city you need to take the train or bus. I think I could have possibly just had a room with not the right people but overall one of my least favourite hostels travelling

Not the greatest location, but close at least to Altona station. Room was clean, staff were friendly, facilities were decent. As long as you aren’t expecting a social hostel it does the job

Nettes Hostel mit allem was man braucht. Sehr freundliches Personal und kurzer Weg zu Hamburg-Altona. Viele Schulklassen, was manchmal etwas nervig war, aber im großen und ganzen schöner Aufenthalt.

Had a very good stay here.

First hostel experience. We arrived late and left early, and the staff was very friendly and gave good recommendations for the city. The room was clean and felt very safe. The water pressure was good and the water was hot, and we received towels which was very convenient. I’d highly recommend for anyone in the area!

Amazing hostel! Super friendly staff and also really clean and spacious room :) The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and crockery if you want to cook. Overall, wonderful stay and would recommend!

Really enjoyed the stay, was quiet when we visited so not many people around in the social area downstairs. But very comfortable in the private rooms and everything you need for a good time. Staff were very friendly!

tutto sommato la struttura non è per niente male, lo staff simpatico, a 5-6 minuti dalla stazione, dalla mia esperienza nell’ostello non c’erano ragazzi della mia età e non ho avuto molto interazioni durante il soggiorno :)

Hotel/hostel, part of the reliable Meninger chain.Good sized room.Quiet.Calmly run by staff.Good location in Altona neighbourhood - not in the centre of town but good transport links five minutes walk away.Huge supermarket just around the corner. Less than 10 minutes walk from Altona rail station.Seems popular with family groups.A comfortable stay in a convenient, quiet location.

Good hostel, more of a hotel vibe. The main letdown was that it is nowhere near the city centre.

Nice place located close to Altona station more like a hotel than a hostel, beds are comfy and ensuite facilities in the room are useful. The guest kitchen is a bit small, laundry facilities are good

Was pretty dead, might just have been the time of year! Clean and comfortable though, all you need really!

My stay would have been great if there had not been a group of basically unaccompanied school age teenagers who were disruptive and disrespectful of other guests. They were running through the halls and common spaces screaming and shouting. The hostel was clean, it had a great kitchen, my dorm mates were respectful, it was lovely otherwise.

Rooms were a bit hot and the lockers in the room are pretty small. Near the Altona station and pretty convenient for a brief stay.

The room was very clean and felt newly renovated. I slept in a 6 beds, women only room and we had a toilet and a shower which were also super nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They had small lockers in the room where you could store valuables. I have nothing to complain about!

Ottima esperienza In viaggio verso nord, ci siamo fermati una sola notte, personale gentile e disponibile, ottimi consigli per visitare anche i dintorni! Cucina fornita e pulita. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
