BEAT. 1932 Hostel @ Chinatown

Als ich angekommen bin waren in meinem Bett jede Menge Haare. Als ich duschen gehen wollte fand ich in meinem Handtuch eingerollt, fremde Haare. Die Toiletten waren zugeschissen. Die Waschmaschine kaputt. Das Bett war sehr unbequem. Die Reinlichkeit lässt zu wünschen über, trotz dass die Reinigungskräfte täglich da waren.

Toilets are combined with showers, so constantly wet, toilet paper was impossible to access with a wet handrail just inches below, lack of sinks, no counter space whatsoever, disappointing breakfast (picked over at 9:00), and a locker that malfunctioned three times in 24 hours, requiring staff assistance and eventually bolt cutters. I’d put up with these things in parts of Asia but in a world-class city like Singapore, there are better options.

Beds are pretty tight with the ladders hard to climb into if you’re on the upper bunk. They’re short end capsule style not the long horizontal kind. There’s no place to store luggage in the rooms, so it ends up just being a pile of everyone’s luggage wherever they kind find space. Basically a massive fire hazard. Almost no mirrors, and the closest ones can be pretty far away. Not enough bathrooms. The cleaning staff have nowhere to hang out, so have not choice but to be in one of the ha...

Different floor for toilets and shower which is inconvenient. Due to all the shoes outside the room, the hall wall has an unpleasant smell. Staff didn’t help with bags despite there being LOTS of steep, narrow stairs. Breakfast not refilled enough times to cater to all guests. However, beds very comfy and a hairdryer is free to use. Breakfast free.

Nice fancy hostel

Comfortable bed. The floor was disgusting though, very dirty, I had to ask the staff to clean. Only one functional toilet on 10 bed dorm - always occupied. Free cold water and coffee/tea. The breakfast is ok. Very expensive - but I think this is the best hostel in Singapore for the value. I would recommend the hostel to focus on cleanliness and clean the areas properly as it was gross.

Not really a hostel, more of a cafe with dorm rooms. The rooms and common area were very nicely renovated, but not really a place to meet people. Also the 5% credit card surcharge is greedy.

It's a nice place to stay in SG. This city seems more geared to business than a traditional backpacker hub. The breakfast is ok, nothing special. Laundry is convenient and easy to use. Seems like the thermostats in the room get changed each day, you might have to adjust the vent directions to get better airflow. But great location near the MRT and places to eat.

Dorm is basically a corridor with beds crammed in. Little floor space made worse by there being nowhere to store suitcases, so they just end up in the walkway and you get in the way if you have to unpack. Small lockers. Difficult to climb into upper bunk and the AC does nothing if you have one of the narrow beds. The floor in the dorm never felt clean despite the no shoes rule. Breakfast was good and location is excellent. I don't think I would stay again though, as I felt very claustrophobic.

Location is great very close to 2 MRT stations, clean and private capsule like beds. Only thing is its not a social hostel so if you like your space it's perfect.

Great location in Chinatown, super close to two MRT lines, comfy beds and modern rooms, bathrooms were decent but not many so you have to be patient at busy times. free brekkie was always yummy, staff were helpful, only neg was it wasnt very social as its communal area is inside a cafe so hard to meet other guests, a decent place to stay for a few days in Singapore! defo reccomend for a peaceful few days in the city

The location is perfect, the breakfast is nice, the staff is helpful and the beds are comfy. However, it is not very social, although if you make an effort you can probably make some friends here too. They for example arranged a pub quiz and invited people to a bar crawl. My biggest annoyance was the facilities. There is not enough room for you to store your belongings – I needed to keep some of them in my bed. They also only had two bathrooms for the 20 people in my room...

Netjes en schoon hostel, goede en fijne bedden en heel fijn dat er ontbijt bij zit, ook al is het basic. Vind dat er alleen wel dat er weinig wc’s en douches zijn

Perfect location, super nice beds for a hostel, lovely staff and breakfast!! The only thing was the restrooms were smelling and for females there was just one sink with a mirror which was often times occupied and crowded.

Gutes zentrales Hostel mitten in China Town. Die Einrichtungen waren alle sauber. Das Frühstück kann ich leider nicht bewerten, weil ich es nicht probiert habe. Es ist kein soziales Hostel und 2 Toiletten und Duschen sind etwas wenig für einen 20er Dorm; morgens musste ich teilweise ewig warten.

Nice fancy hostel

Obwohl es ein 20er Mädelsdorm war, war es sehr leise. Es war alles sauber und das Frühstück lecker! Würde es definitiv empfehlen!

Great hostel, excellent facilities. Just wish it was a bit more social.

It was awesome! The staff is very (like very) friendly, everything is so clean, the rooms are quiet ect. I even had a special request and they made it happen. One of my favorite hostels I‘ve been!

Clean and spacious! Not so social but still nice

The hostel just started operating 3 months ago! It is very clean and modern and I like that the staff wanted feedback from the guests to further improve the hostel!
