Staff were amazing and unfriendly. Unfortunately this place is terribly overpriced for what it is. My dorm room smelled like urine. Both on the inside and outside. No ac, you have fans that have 1 setting, which is better than nothing but not even as good as the average fan. Hot water was a joke. You can get warm water for 2-3 minutes if you’re lucky.

The current ongoing maintenance around Bambuda lodge impacted our stay. Work on the front porch made it unbearable to relax in the sun, and the varnish used on the desk had dissolved into the pool stinging our eyes severely. The workout area was filled with a burning plastic smell as the ongoing maintenance also affected that area. The private room was clean and nice.

Een hele grote groep mensen die alleen maar schreeuwde en wilde feesten. Niemand zei er wat van! Niet het relaxte waar ik naar opzoek was Kamer stonk naar plas en hing vol met geurverfrissers dus ze waren er van op de hoogte.

Terrible personnel and service. The only nice and compétent person in the hostel was Andrea. The other receptionist is unpolite, incompetent and unhelpful.

A very nice hostel, but isolated. The food is quite expensive too. But the hike to hospital point is super good!

Absolutely beautiful, amazing views & pool. The volunteers were great, organising a welcome drink, hike and snorkel trip, and evening activity. However, it is extremely unaffordable. There is no kitchen, when arriving starving hungry, the kitchen was closed and I couldn’t buy any food. At dinner, I bought an expensive meal that was just a few grilled vegetables and a sprinkling of flavourless couscous. I mentioned this to staff and they acknowledged it but didn’t deduct it from my bill

The most overrated place we have stayed in. I’m not sure why it’s on the website because it’s anything but a hostel, more like a place people stay when they’re on holiday. Full of businessmen and people sat on their laptops. PRO’s -The staff are really friendly and remember your name -Nice view -Awesome water slide -Clean CON’s -The price of food is actually offensive, $14/15 for a meal because they know you can’t get it anywhere else. Great atmosphere with the pool and deck area! Not much shade in the afternoon, so if you want shade, get there early. Restaurant is there and a little expensive but there are no other options. There is no AC, and while each bunk has fans, prepare to sweat. Minimal showers for the amount of dorms there were. Family dinner and the nightly activities was a great way to meet other travelers.

Dejó bastante que desear olía a pípi en la habitación y muchos borrachos alterando el descanso. Si vas a hacer excursiones y con la idea de aprovechar el tiempo no es un lugar pr el descanso. Si buscas fiesta y sociabilizar si. Está muy guay el lugar.

An sich wäre es eine wunderschöne Unterkunft aber leider aktuell eine riesen Baustelle. Es ist von morgens bis abends super laut und kein Ort zum Entspannen und chillen. Beim Abendlichen Family Dinner gibt es zu wenig Auswahl vor allem für Veganer und die Portionen sind für den Preis viel zu klein. Da es keine Küche gibt gibt es auch leider keine andere Möglichkeit als dort zu essen oder für 5 Dollar ein Wassertaxi zu nehmen. Unsere Balkontür konnte auch nicht abgeschlossen werden.

Honestly… Beautiful place but I found the vibe quite pretentious and off, it’s more like a restaurant. The bedroom smelt very bad (they said it’s the wood) and it was so hot in there I went to sleep outside at 3.30am. If you’re with a friend or in a couple, it’s a beautiful place and may be for you! Sadly it just wasn’t for me and I left feeling a little let down

The best Hostel in Bocas area without a doubt! So many activities to do and amazing vibe. We had a fantastic jungle hike and art workshop with Emma.

Construction work ruined the atmosphere- super loud! Dorms were also hotter than the outside at night

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, man kann hier richtig runterkommen. Abgelegen, nur mit dem Boot erreichbar. Viele Liegemöglichkeiten am Pool. Essen und Personal waren top. Wir hatten leider das Gefühl, dass seit unserer Ankunft unser 6-Bett-Dorm/Badezimmer nicht geputzt wurde. Es riecht sehr nach Urin im oberen Stockwerk (hier befinden sich die Schlafzimmer). Keine Klimaanlage, nur Ventilatoren. Für zwei Nächte war es akzeptabel.

Absolutely loved this hostel! What a beautiful place. Emma and Sage really made my whole stay even better! The jungle trek, the slide, the location, the vibes.. highly recommend!

Ist definitiv eines meiner Lieblingshostels 😍 Die Atmosphäre war wegen dem Family Dinner und den Aktivitäten immer sehr schön und ich habe einige Leute kennengelernt. Emma war super hilfsbereit und ich habe mich extrem gut mit ihr verstanden!! Ist sehr luxuriös und man fühlt sich richtig wie im Urlaub. Essen war auch Mega 👏🏻

Nicht das typische Hostel, aber ein sehr guter und unaufdringlicher Ort zum Entspannen. Top Terasse und klasse abgeschiedene Lage auf der Insel. Trotz der etwas schickeren Herangehensweise eine angenehme soziale Atmosphäre, insbesondere durch die gemeinsamen Abendaktivitäten. Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass es keine Küche gibt und alles ggf ein wenig mehr kostet als vielleicht in anderen Hostels. Dafür wird allerdings einiges geboten! (Leier keine AC in den Dorms…)

Too expensive for what you’re getting. Facilities were ok but wifi wasn’t working in the room

The staff here were friendly and helpful, and made the stay feel welcoming. That said, there are a few downsides to consider, especially given how expensive it is. Since it’s so remote, you’ll end up spending a lot on transport every time you want to go anywhere. There’s also no air conditioning in the rooms, and the showers aren’t hot, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. If you’re looking for a social or party vibe, this probably isn’t the place!

This place is awesome! The pool/lounge area is super nice (like resort-level) and the food is great. The staff are super helpful and attentive and basically all of them remember your name the whole time. The only downside is having to take boats if you want to leave the property ($5-10pp/ride) and the construction is pretty loud in the morning (just wear earplugs).

Hier eine Version mit ca. 500 Zeichen und stärkerem Fokus auf Baustelle & Dorm: Ich habe dieses Hostel wegen der schönen, ruhigeb Umgebung gebucht, um mich zu erholen – leider war das kaum möglich. Direkt vor dem Dorm ist eine Baustelle, täglich von 8–17 Uhr mit konstantem Lärm und Staub, ohne Hinweis vor der Buchung. Das Dorm roch stark nach Urin, bot kaum Stauraum und die Sauberkeit war mässig, Duschen meist kalt. Preis-Leistung so nicht angemessen. Positiv: sehr freundliches Person...

The hostel is amazing and the best spot if you're looking for a calm spot! There are both staff and volunteers working at the hostel-eveyoryon super friendly and deserve a lot of credit. All of them radiated positive energy although I would like to point out one person in particular: Angel. Her name says it all, but she's been super helpful booking us E-bike tours as well as our journey back. Besides from that, the hostel offers the best food I have ever experienced in any hostel.

The place looks quite nice, and the staff seem friendly. With all that, the room felt like a sauna from the lack of AC, there is no kitchen and no place to prepare breakfast - you can only eat from their restaurant which is quite overpriced, you need to get a water taxi every time you want to get out of the island (it can be a problem during the night, and it is also more expensive), and you can't actually walk around the island by yourself (only when they organize the tours in the morning). The pool area was beautiful, the food delicious and the slide very fun but the rooms don't have any AC and it's really hot during the nights and the rooms/bathrooms weren't clean at all. Also there was a construction going on which made loud noise everyday

We’ve stayed in lots of hostels in different places and this has to be the best of all of them. It has a luxurious outdoor area, an amazing pool, has good food, offers lots of free amenities and activities and the staff were the best I’ve seen anywhere. It’s sociable while still allowing for privacy and seclusion. It’s a must stay if visiting Bocas, I couldn’t recommend it more!
