The room was so dirty

Honestly, worst hostel I've been to (quite some). Rooms super dark & shabby, toilets disgusting, no lockers, common spaces a bare minimum. WiFi doesn't really work. But the worst of all: the staff. They don't care at all. Where can I buy water? Do you know a good restaurant? Always "no"... Also, when I arrived late at night, the lady didn't open the door until I would pay a rip-off taxi driver. I was clearly cheated on, should pay 10x the in advance agreed price and seeked for help. "no"...

Servicio pésimo e instalaciones nefastas. El baño no tenía tapa, no había papel, no salía casi agua de la llave, no había cisterna y había que meter la mano en el agua para tirar de ella. Las sábanas picaban y un borracho no paró de gritar en toda la noche. Servicio deplorable al igual que el alojamiento. 0 recomendado

Do not stay here, plenty of other better hostels out in Havana

The lady was not nice to me for no reason. Also its not very social and there were no other guests. Would never go back!

MALA la experiencia. La hoja de reserva dice que debes pagar en moneda nacional pero la anfitriona se negó a recibir el pago en pesos cubanos y exigio pago en dólar. Nunca se proporcionó papel higiénico, ni jabón para los trastes o fregar, al preguntar a la anfitriona dijo que eso NO lo dan (pero el anuncio dice que si). No dan sábanas o cobijas, tuve que pedirla al 2do día de estancia. La cocina que es de uso común PÉSIMA presentación tiene (oxidada), no había prácticamente utensil...

An old, run down, broken and dirty slum located a 10 min walk from the centre. My room was damp, toilet was dirty with lots of mold everywhere, shower head full of dirt and disgusting, no toilet paper or soap, no ventilation. Beds were very old, uncomfortable. The floor was really dirty, my feet were black from walking in my room. Common areas dirty. Wifi only 4 hours a day. No lock on your door, no locker to keep valuables. Das Zimmer scheint auf dem ersten Blick sauber und relativ ordentlich. Man kann auch nicht genau schauen, nach einer sehr anstrengenden, langen Reise. Zudem Ersatz findet man so schnell nicht. Auf dem zweiten Blick sehe ich: Die Dusche hat kein Warmwasser. Toilettenpapier und Seine gab es auf Anfrage, Das Zimmer hat weder Fenster noch irgend einer Öffnung nach Außen. Die Tür ist dem Lerm der Straße ausgesetzt, und unmittelbar vor dem Haus liegt ein Berg vom Müll

the hygienic standards were terrible. it started with having no toilet paper or soap for washing hands at all in the entire house to like having mold in the shower. also several spiders or other insects were not removed properly and were everywhere (shower, bed, ...) and the ac was really loud. Normally, even if someone has paid me to stay there for a night I would have said no. But silvia, the host, was really nice and helpful.

Great little hotel runned by a nice family. Close to attractions of Havana Vijeja i Vedado.

Ha sido una salvación este lugar para mí y para mi novio, nunca había conocido personas tan amables y serviciales, confiamos 100% en la dueña del lugar. Recomiendo a cualquier viajero que se quiera sentir cómodo y seguro en algún lugar este hostal. Muchas gracias Silvia por todo

I have no idea how the rating is so high. Now reading the reviews with the worst ratings - all true. Bathroom in horrible condition, dorms not in any way how they are described, mattress felt extremely bad and the air is moldy and damp.

The best location in La Habana. The Host is very helpful and everything is cool. We really recomended.😁🖐

Muy buen hostal, con unos propietarios muy amables y atentos a las necesidades del viajero. El precio es incomparable, muy difícil de conseguir uno semejante en Cuba. la ubicación también es muy buena para conocer diferentes partes de La Habana. En resumen, tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio y lo considero totalmente recomendable

si viajas solo es una muy buena opción para conocer gente, y si vas a otras ciudades de Cuba, la dueña Silvia te pasa unos contactos de lugares muy buenos y super barato

Very good price/quality ratio! Will comeback

Stayed just 1 day, they were flexible with check-out time. Cleaning could be improved in general, shower was not working properly. For the price it was ok for a day

Good place to stay low-budget in Havana. Centro Habana is perfect to walk to Vedado and to Havana Vieja. Sylvia and Anthony are the best.
