Overall it's a really and enjoyed the private room with AC. Don't love how everything to do besides lay at the pool costs extra and the food is outrageous expensive lol. Got pretty bored after 24 hours good for a short stay. The property is gorgeous though
De locatie was mooi en de meeste medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk! We kregen na onze boeking een mail dat de kamer boven het restaurant zit, maar dat het tussen 21:30 en 08:00 stil is. Helaas was het overdag enorm gehorig en stond er vanaf 06:00 al rustige muziek op. Het bad konden we niet gebruiken doordat de stop het niet deed. Voor de AC moest je nog extra betalen, dat was niet van te voren gezegd. Kortom: mooie plek, maar het geld helaas niet waard.
The location was nice and most of the staff were very friendly! we get an email after booking that the room is above the restaurant, but that it is still between 21:30 and 08:00. unfortunately the overday was extremely loud and there was quiet music from 06:00. the bath we couldn't use doordat de stop het niet deed. for the AC you had to pay extra, that was not mentioned before. in short: nice place, but unfortunately not worth the money.
I went in June, when it was over 90 degrees F (40 C). It was way too hot. I didn't understand why there wasn't air conditioning in the dorms but there was in the other cabins. Just silly. The staff was friendly, and the boat was sort of convenient. You have to call the hotel for the boat shuttle to come pick you up from town. The management was giving "white savior" and the lack of kitchen was meh. For the most part, I didn't get many mosquito bites, but the heat had me on edge. Wouldn't return.

This is not communicated beforehand so we tried walking there from the city center via google maps but it is unreachable without trespassing and swimming. Be sure to organise a boat beforehand. hostel is clean and beautiful with enough places to relax. Hot showers are also a plus. Security wise not perfect: the shared bedrooms can’t be locked and there are no lockers.
Mooie locatie als je voor de rust komt, er is niet veel te doen (ook niet rond het hostel) en als er wel iets is zijn de excursies best duur. Wakker worden met apen en kolibries zien in de morgen was wel heel mooi. De gedeelde kamer kon niet op slot en ook zaten er geen kluisjes. De boot gaat om 6 tijden, dit is best weinig en als je buiten die tijden wilt kost het 60Q, dat is erg duur. Voor de rest prima verblijf maar zou er niet langer dan 3 nachten blijven.
Nice location if you come for the break, there is not much to do (not even around the hostel) and if there is something the excursions are the most expensive. waking up with monkeys and hummingbirds to see in the morning was very nice. the shared room couldn't be locked and there were no safes either. the boot goes around 6 hours, this is best little and if you want outside those hours it costs 60Q very much, that is expensive. for the rest great stay but would not be longer than 3 nights.
Before booking, be aware that there is no way to leave the hotel other than by boat. No countryside or paths that can be accessed on foot from the hotel. The morning free taxi service to Rio Dulce is either before breakfast at 7am or not until 10.45. The staff were not very friendly, especially the females.However the setting is idyllic. Take mosquito repellent for the evenings. The price quoted on Hostelworld was less than I had to pay at the end, but the staff weren't interested in this.
Great hostel to unwind. Situated in the middle of the mangroves in a howler monkey reserve, with a pool and walkways through the jungle. They have kayaks / sups for rent and a restaurant on site (which you will use often, as there are no other options really). They also offer free lancha drop-offs and pick-ups throughout the day. I reckon the place could be social as well, but when I stayed here there was only one dorm partially filled, which didn't particularly make for a social setting.
Consignes quasi militaires. Sanitaires communs et pas assez nombreux, très éloignés de ma chambre. Personnel adorable sinon.

Good location, nice pool, lovely staff in the kitchen. Unfortunately, unfriendly staff at reception. Would roll her eyes, give one word answers when asked about their services and just general unwelcoming bothered vibe. Place is beautiful though, more couples than solo travelers.
Beautiful property, everything is clean. Nice dorms. Staff speaks english. Would stay there again.

The best accomodation we had throughout our Guatemala trip! The value for money ratio is crazy. They have a free shuttle picking you up at Rio Dulce at scheduled times. Amazing food in the restaurant. Super nice owners of the place. Few mosquitos considering it’s in the middle of the jungle. Nice pool - even heated in the evening. Will definitely come again! It’s not a party vibe, but if you just reach out to other people in the lobby it’s also quite a social accommodation.

Wunderschönes Hostel in Mitten des Djungels, wirklich sehr zu empfehlen! Die Mitarbeiter könnten netter sein aber haben uns bei dem Rücktransfer sehr geholfen! Es sind leider keine abschließbaren Locker vorhanden, insgesamt aber wirklich super!
Wunderschönes Hostel in Midten des Dschungels, really highly recommended! the staff could be nicer but helped us a lot with the Return Transfer! there are unfortunately no lockable lockers available, but overall really great!

This hotel/hostel is amazing. It is a peaceful place away from the chaos. The free shuttle boat service is amazing. The staff are great, the food is very good and there are vegan options available. I had a lovely time staying here.

Auberge fabuleuse dans un cadre exceptionel. Le restaurant prépare d'excellents petit dejeuner et repas.

It’s like a 5star property! + pool + helpful staff + food is good + yoga mats + stunning place, pictures worth it + extra activities/tours you can book + library with books to read + clean - Portions of food were small.
Pros: incredibly beautiful, great food, free boat rides Cons: we had the room above the restaurant which you could hear very well. But it closes at 9PM so still fine. The tour we did was nice (full day) but included zero entrance fees so at almost every stop you had to pay extra, wouldve been nice to know in advance.
Super mooi, schoon en fijn hotel. Als ik een verbeter punt moet noemen was het bed in de 4 persoons slaapzaal echt heel hard!
If I have to mention one improvement point, the bed in the 4 person bedroom was really very hard!

It is a resort in the jungle, totally from another level. The best accomodation I ve ever booked for myself. It is perfect! I would prefer if they had lockers.

We loved our stay at Boatique hotel and marina! The staff is very lovely and helpful. The food was delicious and super fresh. We saw a lot of beautiful birds around the property
