+ It was somewhat clean

- There was a stale smell on the floor our room was at. The beds were uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast wasn't much of a buffet. There were a few cold breakfast options & you had to order any hot meals.

+ Excellent Location

- Damn expensive for the benefits and the range of the hotel and the facilities. I booked for 3 people, but there was no extra bed in the room. They provided a cot and bed, which was very bad and my son got back ache with that sleeping on it for 3 nights. No cleaning done on the first day. We had to request for it on day 2. AC was bad. We had to ask for coffee pods and water as only 2 pods were given per day and we are 3 people. Charging 557$ per day should be reasonable to provide more than 3 pods coffee atleast, I drink 2 coffees per day, that is insane to beg them for coffee every day. so cheap to give only 2 per day. U can get better hotels at this price point in darling harbour. U can get a 5 star hotel as well, we regret to book it here. paying 500$+ per day to get a cheap hotel. Just making use of the Crown brand. I would never book here again, instead will book a better one at this price range.

- First - I've requested to check in between 1-2pm, so we arrived at 12:45 and they said ithe room is not available yet and they're putting us a priority and that they will give us a call when it's ready. So we waited and didn't get a courtesy call on what's happening so we decided to go back to the hotel at 2;55pm. I have expressed my disappointment on not getting any calls as update for our early request to check in. So we felt weren't actually prioritised. Second - I booked the room for 3 people but when we went to our room there's only 2 robes, 2 towels and so on basically only good for 2 people so we had to chase them to give us what we needed. We felt after all the time we waited they didn't give us the even the most minimum expectations. Thurd- the following morning we went to have breakfast as breakfast is included with our stay but when we're about to go back to our room, my room card was declined to use the elevator to go back to our room so we had to go to the reception and I was told they accidentally checked us out That's why we couldn't use the card. It took the receptionist a while even just to issue us our new card. It was so inconvenient for us especially we have limited time to pack and leave on time.

- The staff at the reception were arrogant, did not try to get things done properly, and behaved in an authoritative manner. They refused to provide the receipt until the end, so the Booking.com had an argument after i got the receipt. I raised the issue with the hotel and Booking.com 7 times, and it was resolved. It's a waste of time. Also, I made a reservation that included breakfast, but it did not include children. They tried to charge me for the child's breakfast. However, although everything was included when making a reservation on Booking.com, the hotel explained that children's breakfast was not included and was arrogant by saying that it was specially provided free of charge to me. Unlike what is shown on the site, they proceed in their own way. Don't believe all the information given in this hotel at Booking.com.

- Reception staff were rude, my city view room which was upgraded from a standard room looked at a wall, the phone in the room didn’t work, the room service app didn’t work and internet was problematic. The lifts were slow and unreliable. The whole stay was awful.

+ After we got a second clean room, no snot on towels, no dirty floors, no sticking out nails and a shower that worked, we realised we should stop using your chain forever! Air bnb from now on.

- Everything. Staff fobbing us off with we are too full to move you, But a lovely lady then moved us. Tired of the lies, excuses. Bring back full breakfast as well.

Absolutely great location right next to Town Hall station made getting around the city so easy! Hostel itself was super nice and tidy and the room was spacious and comfy. Staff were so helpful with places to go and things to see around the city, huge shout out to Sam (Bref) for the food recommendations!

+ We had a wonderful stay at Crowne plaza Darling Harbour. We were particularly impressed by Silvia at reception. She was fantastic, warm, professional, and genuinely caring. It felt like she was not just doing her job, but truly wanted guests to feel welcomed and looked after. Thank you, Silvia, and thank you to the Crowne Plaza team. We really appreciated the experience and will definitely be back.

+ I loved the convenient location. Close to Town Hall station, Bus services, China town, Darling Harbour and the shops. The swimming pool was clean, a comfortable temperature and a good length for laps. Loved the free Lindt balls at reception.

- On the first night there were no facecloths provided or makeup remover towelettes. They appeared with housekeeping on Day2. Only 2 coffee pods are provided each day. 4 or 6 would be reasonable.

Charlene was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and always quick to respond throughout our stay. She really helped make our Sydney experience so much smoother and more enjoyable. Also, a shoutout to our tour guide Markus, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better. Would highly recommend! 😊

Had an amazing stay at this hostel! The atmosphere was super social, the rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. What really made the experience stand out though was the staff — especially Ellie. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always brought great energy to the place. Whether it was recommendations, helping guests out, or just making everyone feel welcome, she genuinely made the hostel feel like home. You can tell she really cares about the guests having a good time.

I was very happy with everything, except the WiFi. For some reason when connected with the WiFi you couldn’t search anything up, using google/safari anything. That was weird Maybe you could fix that problem

The hotel feels quite humid and not very well ventilated. I booked a 4-person room hoping for a bit more comfort, but it turned out that more than 4 people were staying in the room, and that wasn’t mentioned. In the morning, when check-out opens, there was no one available at the front desk at 6:00 am, which made things difficult. Overall, I didn’t have the best experience here. For the same price — or even less — there are better options around.
