La Safari Inn Yala and Tissamaharama

The price quoted for half day safari is not actually 25 dollars, in the small print it says other costs to come which made it 60 dollars in the end. This was for the driver (which without a driver there is no safari surely so surely that should be within the 25 dollars), food which was not asked if you were veggie or not, shower didn't work in the basic room. They did make me a free cup of tea in the morning. Slippery dealings for taxi negotiations also, make sure you know what you are on about.

Overall very friendly host, very well organized safari. Room and Lodge were somewhat worn down/ could need some renovations. Rooms were also not soundproof at all, you hears everything when someone was talking outside. And the food was not very good overall, except for the excellent Banana smoothie.

Overall very nice place to stay at when planning to go on safari in either national park. The safari was arranged for us by them, that was great. We booked a room without AC and that was maybe a mistake, the room was very very warm even with the fans on.

Ich war im Doppelzimmer. Nette Unterkunft, günstiges leckere Küche. Leider ohne Klimaanlage. Der Host hat uns kostengünstig ein Taxi nach Ella besorgt. War sehr nett dort.

Fan was unfortunately not working very properly, which made the night a bit warm & sticky, otherwise we had a good time :)

Not much to say about this hostel tbh, it was in a good location to go for the leopard safari. Other than that there wasn't a huge amount going on. But the staff seemed nice and the place was clean and tidy.

Pretty nice hostel if you want to have a few nights in the near of the yala national Parc

Everything was fine. The safari tour is quite pricy. There are other offers which are cheaper.

Amazing place. A great swimmingpool and food. Clean room, lovely staff. They can arrange a safari for you and its great!

The accommodation was spacious, clean, and stylish. The food was very delicious, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the safari we booked through the property wasn’t great. We had an uncomfortable situation with an elephant. Our driver drove straight toward the elephant instead of turning around or stopping, even though it’s known that this particular elephant has already attacked vehicles in the past. Staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating. Booked safari through them . Rooms clean and comfy.

This accommodation is highly recommended! Got some struggles getting there because my taxi driver wouldn’t let me out as discussed. So I called the owner of the hostel for help and he fixed the situation that I could arrive save at the destination. Thankful!

Great Family!!

Great stay and the owners were even nice enough to let us shower after we had checked out. Kitchen and staff were all very attentive and served great food. Very close to yala and great for what we needed.

My stay was perfect . The staff were so accommodating and kind, helping me with all of my requests and making my stay the most comfortable. They helped me to get to the bats viewpoint, made me tea when I was sick, and arranged transport to an ATM. Their kindness was what made the stay so incredible. Thank you so much 😊

Great hostel near Yala. Very kind staff that helped us with booking safari and transportation to the coast. The hostel also offers food. Mosquito net and AC.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was super friendly and helped us with anything we needed. They organised our safari for us which was great. Our room was nice and had a fan (although we would’ve preferred air conditioning).

Stayed here & booked a half day safari through the hostel. Ended up booking another night because the rooms are so comfortable! (Although only some have AC, we asked and got one for a little extra charge). The staff are some of the kindest people ever! They even gave us an incredible deal on a taxi from Yala to Ella.

Perfect place to stay for doing the safari, which they can organise. Nice clean room. Fantastic staff!

Charming Villa in the Jungle. Kind Staff - although they didn’t appreciate the need to sleep before getting up for a Safari in the very early morning when they knocked at our door late at night.
