Hostel Bambu

Although the hostel is hospitable and social, my stay was overshadowed by bed bugs in my bunk and an inadequate response. After the second night I had clear bites and found a live bed bug and droppings on the mattress, which we recorded and reported. The initial reaction was dismissive and no immediate measures were taken to protect others. Only after insisting were costs reimbursed. Two weeks later, no proper follow-up has occurred and our trip was heavily affected. 0/10 would recommend

Unfortunately had to give a lower rating because of a very disappointing situation with one of tours that is promoted in the hostel's group chat. The tour guide left before the arranged time, did not wait for me, did not return my messages nor did she respond to my request for a refund. Although the overall hostel experience was good, I lost a significant amount of money in this ordeal. I do not recommend doing the tours with Bruna.

Horrible services! The guy woke us up at 7am trying to open our rooms or something The bathrooms are in an awful state, with s*** on the toilet seat. Cold showers 1 out of 2 times. There is noise in the living room and outside area going past 1 am, with last night having little kids everywhere.

The worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The place has not been updated in over 20years. The hostel was very dirty, it was really cold. There was extra charges for everything. Avoid this hostel

they made me pay 25 bucks extra to store luggage beyond 4pm the same day I checked out. I have never seen a hostel do that. To top that, they told me that if I came back to stay an extra night the same day, I would still not get the 25 back once I have paid it. It was plainly exploitative and unfriendly attitude that you don't expect from a good or even barely decent hostel.

There was not a lot of private space, the rooms were very crowded and without a/c or fan they got very loud and stuffy. Being there gave me anxiety.

Unfortunately after my staying in this hostel, lots of bed bugs bites appeared in my body. I read one review on Google about an occurrence in there and neglected it. Now I’m definitely paying the price, this is the first time something like this happens to me.

Not very clean, no hot water, pretty tough bathroom situation. Doesn’t look like the room has been cleaned recently. We didn’t get any top sheets and it’s unclear if/ when the blankets had been cleaned. Super basic place, but also cheap so could be fine depending on what you want.

I don’t recommend this place if you are a female solo traveler, they only have mixed rooms and I end up in a room with only guys with strange behavior, asked the receptionist to change rooms twice and nobody seemed to get the discomforting situation. Dirty bathrooms. Couldn’t sleep because music was on until 3am and when I told the receptionist he said that the fault was mine that didn’t complain to people that were playing music… Couldn’t stay more than one night, left earlier than ex...

The place was extremely dirty, the kitchen was disgusting, facilities not working properly, many toilets broken.

Really smooth going time there at the hostel. Well-equipped with everything you can need - multiple bathrooms and showers, lockers, drawers, kitchen, fridges, pool, gym, gaming facilities, TV, etc. Was especially thankful to Mateus there who proactively helped with suggestions for day itineraries and what would work best for my time there - allowed me to see everything I wanted to see! Thank you!

Adorei ficar neste hostel! Conheci pessoas incríveis. O pessoal que trabalha lá é espetacular e muito prestável, principalmente o Mateus, que foi incrível. Também organizam um tour pela cidade. Aconselho muito este hostel!

The place isn't very clean, especially the bathroom. Plus, it has that distinct smell of a hostel packed with people.

Was very good hostel! Great atmosphere and the staff was amazing and super helpful. It was mostly always clean and in general a very good hostel. Very social as well.

Best hostel. They have every activity in the gym. I highly recommend. The staff are really nice

good location and staff were great and helpful! it didnt feel very clean, and there wasnt an outlet to charge the phone next to the bed in my room? the night I stayed there there was a party that went on very late and with people from outside the hostel who were using the facilities in the hostel which made me not feel very safe

I really liked the bar and the sense of community at night after having done a long hike during the day. Eu gostei o barzinho e o sentido da comunidade nas noites depois de ter feito uma grande caminhada durante o dia.

Great hostel, very friendly, super chill and brilliant location. I think the only suggestion I’d have for them is privacy curtains for the beds. But we loved our stay!

Hostel incrível, estrutura e equipe impecáveis! Os quartos são confortáveis, os banheiros estão sempre limpos e tanto os funcionários quanto os voluntários são muito solícitos, em especial o Matheus que me ajudou com todas as dúvidas sobre a cidade. Fui pra ficar 3 dias e fiquei 5, voltaria sem pensar duas vezes.

Estou muito realizado e feliz por ter escolhido o Hostel Bambu como estadia nos meus dias em Foz. Foi minha primeira viagem solo e primeira vez em hostel, e com minha experiência no Bambu tive uma primeira impressão maravilhosa desse tipo de hospedagem. O local é bem organizado, a equipe bem preparada para te orientar e te ajudar em tudo que precisar, a limpeza está sempre em dia, tem áreas propícias para socialização e formação de novas amizades. Very good hostel and the people running it are one of the best l have ever seen. So much helpful tips and information from them! I unfortunately stayed only 1 night and couldn’t enjoy all the cool benefits the hostel provided. Amazing place!

Amazing hostel. Staff is extremely friendly, help you with everything. It has a lot to offer with pool, billiards, ping pong, tv, Gitarres,… only the lockers are in the bed- and I bumped onto them soo many times

Lovely hostel, sadly was only there one night but helped me plan a sunset trip to the falls and the hostel bbq was great! the bar area is very social and the lockers in the bunks are a great addition

We had so much fun on our stay here, it had a great atmosphere, shoutout to Mateus! Staff are super helpful and location was easy. Only thing to be aware of is there’s no locks on the room doors but other than that great stay :)

The best hostel of my trip so far! Not a party hostel but very social and the patio are is a great place to spend the whole evening, which great cuz the town of Foz itself is pretty quiet. The beds are also so nice, there’s a curtain and a shelf and a lockable cupboard with outlets inside which honestly felt like luxury compared to some other places I’ve been. Plus staff was so nice! Had a great time here :)

Nice place, friendly staff, good areas to chill in if you want peace/lively atmosphere. Private room was comfortable and the en-suite was ok, could probably have been a bit cleaner as there was lots of debris on the floor.

Bambu Hostel was a great place to explore the Iguazu area from. The check-in wasn’t as smooth as I would have hoped, since my bed was given to someone else after my check-in on the first day. Luckily there was another lower bunkbed available next to it so it was a quick and easy fix. Special shout-out to Matheu, who helped me out here and with everything else very quickly en effectively. He speaks good English and is a very friendly and helpful guy. This is also a very social hostel.

This hostel is one of the better places I stayed. The people that work there are amazing and it’s really social. Bar is open whole night and it’s always fun. Please go here if you’re looking for a great and fun time
