+ a bad experience full of mosquitos during the whole night at the whole hostel also some dogs bark all the time even the host of the hostel didn't care about it i booked 5nights from 15sep to 20sep but the first night with the mosquitos and dogs barking i couldn't stand up at night i asked the hostel for help about the mosquitos and the dogs they just kept slience until the second day

+ Nothing. I booked two nights and I stayed one!
- - VERY dirty - Bathroom was very dirty. I left without taking a shower. - The room is against a garden that was full of trash. A lot of mosquitoes coming from there. - I didn't feel safe at all -There were spiders hanging from the room that seem to be there for months - There are way better options in Nairobi for better prices (I stayed in Nairobi for a month)

Book elsewhere. Zero atmosphere. Two aggressive dogs that bark at you every time you are near the property. They overcharge you like crazy to do laundry. Mosquitos everywhere: There’s cheaper air bnbs or literally go stay at Jabulani if you want social vibes
+ There are spacious common areas. Although the location is quite isolated and the place is not easy to identify on arrival.
- My bag was taken from my room. If that was not bad enough the staff and owner did not seem concerned about this and were not helpful in trying to understand what had happened. The owner in particularly acted with distain and told me it was out of her control. I told her that given the door to the room could not be locked, there were no lockers for bags and they had no survellance that these could be some changes that would enhance controls. But mostly it was just the dismissive attitude of the staff and ownership that was a problem. After the event, they made an effort to make me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome and it seems they felt my presence in the hostel was bad publicity so they treated me in a manner that would make me leave. I did not initially blame them for the bag going missing as I understand that it can happen, but the way they acted towards me in the aftermath I found highly inappropriate and that is what motivated me to publish a review of my experience. I hope if nothing else it can be a lesson for them to understand the importance of property going missing in a hostel environment and that the victim of that event should br treated with sympathy and comfort not with disdain.

- There were a lot of small things that are very easy to fix that would make a massive difference… like properly handing the curtains in the room, instead of leaving them ripped down half way… insect mesh over the windows and the round hold above the entrance door… cleaning the shower room, etc.

+ Wunderschöne grüne Oase im lauten, geschäftligen Nairobi. Einladendes Haus mit Eingansbereich, Garten und Küche, herrliche Dusche im Gemeinschaftsbadezimmer.
- Unser Schlafzimmer war separat im hinteren Teil des Gartens gelegen, leider etwas vernachlässigt ohne funktionierende Dusche und etwas schmuddelig. Die Badezimmer im Haus sind allerdings tip-top. Die Küche wäre eigentlich supertoll, aber rudimentär, und Besteck haben wir keines gefunden. Das Personal war freundlich, aber nach dem Check-in haben wir niemanden mehr gesehen. Dafür die Hunde, wovon einer nicht für eine Gaststätte geeignet ist... Ich hoffe sehr, dass das Backpackers weiterlebt!

+ The place is really nice with a lot of open space around, with beautiful gardens, perfect for yoga, sports etc. The kitchen and the common spaces are really nice and perfect for connecting with more travellers. Also, the owner Dan is a very cooperative and supporting guy.

Great hostel - nice location with egg & fruit stands on the same street. There is a large backyard - very lush & equipped with hammocks, volleyball court & more. The common areas and couches are nice to meet other travelers or relax alone, and the WiFi was always working when I stayed there for 3 weeks. Hot water showers & mosquito netting on the beds. Shoutout to the owner Daniel for taking care of me when I was bedridden with food poisoning for the last week. He goes above and beyond to help.

+ The nicest place to stay in Nairobi! The place is big, nice and relax, full of green gardes and trees. Beza and Dan are always ready to help, they also organize activities for people staying there and give good advices, I have been there like 6 times already!

Cozy space with really chill vibes! Off the beaten path so a little further away form giraffe sanctuary And national park but if you're looking for a place for quiet and not as social this is it. Great place !
+ Great place in the quiet and safe neighborhood of Lavington. Spacious area with big garden, many plants and different outdoor seating areas. Helpful staff, stable WiFi, well equipped common kitchen. Easy to get in contact with other guests, great place to share and receive information and advice about further travels in the region
Lovely hostel that is hidden behind greenery and its own gate. The yard was great as it offered a peaceful atmosphere with seating variation. Not much traffic or other noises were heard inside during nighttime - just the local ibis' that fly by every house in the morning. The bed was ok and the mosquito net was a must have. The location itself was a bit of a challenge regarding pickups for trips etc. but Uber worked great. There are some good cafes and restaurant nearby.
