Hard to sleep because of dogs barking at night sometimes waking me up at 3 00. One day the owners dog bit me on my ankle ( it hurt a lot but didnt draw blood) and when I told her about it she tried to justify it by saying that the dog is young and bites her all the time then when she saw the dog growling at me she said wow he is really afraid of you. She didnt do anything about the situation and in the evening the dog went after me again but fortunately didnt bite.
If you decide to visit Camino Art House, be aware, the staff and the guests will be some of the nicest people you’ll meet. However the owner is such a terrible person that it might not be worth it. No tolerance of invisible disabilities, no regard for proper communication and a bullying nature is just some of the terrible experiences I had at my stay. Her lack of management skills and communication skills let her to shout at me for something one of the staff-members explicitly told me was ...
Just dont go. A squalid hole, albeit with a great garden view. If ratings could go negative, this would smash 5/5 across the board. There's cheap hostels and then there's plain insulting. You may want to burn your bag and contents, scrub your skin raw and review your innoculations on departure. If you enjoy sleeping fully clothed to avoid skin contact with damp riddled bed sheets, relish constant skin crawling sensations or view an external cave as a better option than indoors: nirvana awaits here
I left the Art House after I found my room unfit, unhygienic and not secure enough to stay in. The room was different than the one I payed for on the pic. Instead of a bed I had a dirty mattress on pallets. There was no glass in the window. In only 20 minutes of stay a random guy barged in on me and my girlfriend. when I asked for my deposit back, a woman disrespectfully told me No because I am over the cancelation period. This is not a hostel. I would not recommend it to anyone who expects one.
The bed sheets and pillows were really greasy and since there were no windows in the room, the air was bad. There was only one shower and toilet together in one room in the house. We had to wait over an hour to have a COLD shower/ use the restroom (didn’t want to use the „alternative“ nature bathroom outside in the dark). Messy kitchen, no lockers… overall it felt like we lived in a house of a messy family. Left after one day, paid for three - we just wanted to leave.
started off good but after the 2nd got bad vibes of people so I booked elsewhere with 3 nights left. one italian guy was creeping on a lone lady traveler like really bad to the point I had to leave or I would have said something and got in a fight. Also serious trust issues if you dont fit the hairy free hippie criteria. lovely picturesque setting but very out the way. I definitely wont be staying here again or recommend to anyone I know or meet, shame really
The property is not secure in any sense. Most of the guests and volunteers were older men and most people seemed very solitary and quiet. The volunteers were very particular and quite off in general. I was expecting a nice outdoor, hippie vibe with community spirit but it was more hikers who didn't want to talk passing through and a group of older volunteers and that didn't care to create an atmosphere for guests. I felt uneasy as a solo female traveler and only stayed 1 night when I booked 2.
Dommage qu'il n'y a pas de vrai parking On est obligé de garer sa voiture en bord de route dans un virage
A bit different than most other hostels I've visited but I was mentally prepared & enjoyed the very chill atmosphere around mostly "free spirits". The hostel is very bohemic with cats & dogs running around + all kinds of stuff & alternative solutions. I slept very well and had a good shower after a long hike. They arrange breakfast & dinner for a small fee if you're interested. The location is great for being a mountain hostel with a bus stop just outside the door. A hostel with cha...

Camino is the perfect place to find yourself and become more artsy, more focused on yourself and others and just go with the flow
Unlike any place I’ve stayed, very nice people and even better food!
I needed a little me-time getaway in the mountains and it was the best decision to choose Camino. Sitting on the terrace with dogs and cats, exploring the huuuge garden and eating nice vegan meals was exactly what I needed. The volunteers were always friendly and helpful. If you don’t expect super clean and new rooms, you can have a really special, restful time.
Super schöne Lage, einfach traumhaft!! Immer nette Gesellschaft dank Hunden und Katzen 😻 die Menschen da sind auch super ;)
First impressions poor: dog mess on entrance path, broken gate handle and bell. Welcoming hippy/arty atmosphere. Excellent value vegan dinners (kitchen closed to guests from 1800 so not really an alternative) though very limited table seating means eating on sofas. Just 1 shower/wc indoors so often a queue. Nice terrace but used by smokers. Dorm mattress lumpy. Lots of attractive ‘upcycling’ in garden but some of it frankly now past its best and ready for disposal

Really worth the visit.
fabulous laid back 'hippy' hangout where everyone interacts with each other. a choice of a dorm, caves or tents to stay in. quite unique. the only slight negative is there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower. other than that it's superb.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed that. Trailing down the valley of the hostel with the dogs was an adventure of its own. Breakfast is good value too. 10/10
Loved the Camino Art House. It was so relaxing and peaceful, and the hostel itself was in a beautiful location. The shared dorm was clean and also sleeping in the caves was such an amazing experience. The staff was friendly, especially Freya, she is amazing! the vegan dinners every night were incredible and I love how all the food they get is locally sourced! If you love nature and the outdoors you will love this hostel!
A very alternative hostel, vibe like no other. Really big communal feel.
I only stayed here for one night but really loved it! Everyone was super friendly and the location was absolutely stunning! The dogs and cats were adorable. Would 100% love to come back!
Great value for money for sure. But I must admit that it was a bit too much of a hippy vibe for me. Everyone was very nice and there is a amazing „family dinner“ and breakfast. I think if you are down for a hippy vibe or search for the cheapest possible it is great but for me who me personally I like to flush my toilet normally and don’t use a bucket filled of the lost water when washing your hand to safe water. But I get the Idee of it and this is a volunteer thing so you can still flush ...
This place is one of the coolest hostels I've ever been to. The location is breathtaking, the people are super cool and hippe. Everyone is so welcoming and happy to have you in there space. I highly recommend as an experience, they deserve the business.
Had a lovely time while staying at Camino‘s Art House. Nice people too!
Different from any other hostel I’ve been to. Had a magical and nourishing stay there. If you like these kind of vibes you’re going to love it. I’m coming back as soon as possible. And the area is great for hiking.
