Location close to the walking street but hidden in side alleys. Staff seemed eager but not at all happy or made me feel really welcome. While a new one came into the dorm, my backpack was kicked further behind the bed by the owner without warning. It was already under the bed because the room was small, so it wasn't in the way. Beds squeak too. Breakfast was good and met nice people. But I can't really recommend the homestay.
+ When I arrived they welcome me with fruits.
- BUT The host was not friendly at all towards me. He didn't seem motivated at all and even annoyed. As soon as I arrived, he URGED me to book a tour and the next bus trip with him. The money was the most important thing for him. I have also seen and experienced both with other guests. In the room itself, 3 bunk beds were squeezed into an area of 6-7 m2, so that you couldn't even get in the door properly with your backpack. The bed was okay so far and not uncomfortable. However, I was given an old, dirty towel that urgently needed to be replaced. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special either. I was glad to be able to leave after one night. I didn‘t feel very comfortable.
My booking got cancelled after I left the hostel. That is very strange. The tours are all overpriced compared to everywhere else. Every evening the scooter is brought inside in the sitting area/kitchen, so if you’re there you’ll breathe the scooter emission for half an hour.

- the room was super cramped and dark/dingy. the bathroom for the dorm i was in was actually gross - every peg was taken up by a used & dirty towel and i ended up not even using that bathroom in favour of using the one downstairs (which wasn't much better in terms of hygiene/cleanliness). the manager was also kind of rude when i told him about the bathroom situation? not great customer service.
Stayed for one night which was perfect for us, wouldn’t be comfortable for a long period. Host was super nice, let us check in early and was really helpful. Bathroom facilities were poor.
+ The location was in a side street of the busy one. That was good.
- Really wants to sell tours, we were there for 2 minutes and needed to decide.

Die Atmosphäre war irgendwie komisch und wie manche schon geschrieben haben, hatte ich das Gefühl, dass die Freundlichkeit weg war, nachdem ich keine Touren dort buchen wollte. Es gibt nicht wirklich einen Ort zum Sitzen oder socializen und alles ist sehr beengt. Das Frühstück war gut. Es war insgesamt solide, aber definitiv im Mittelfeld.

Viet was awesome. He sent me a WhatsApp to confirm my arrival time and gave me tea and fruit when I got there early. I love how they make a basic breakfast from a menu every morning with fruit and tea/coffee. Viet also booked my bus to Da Nang and helped carry my stuff. My critique is that the rooms were a bit small and the bathroom was small, so it was hard to take a shower. Also not much of a social atmosphere except morning. Great location, lots of places easy to walk too. I recommend...
The hosting family was really nice and helpful for everything. The owner welcomed me with some tea and fruit! The place is a bit old, but kept very clean. The location is perfect, in the center but in a small street so not too noisy. There are no real social spaces, but it's normal for a small building in the center.
I had a great time in Hue Happy Homestay. It's perfectly located, walking distance from the Citadel, close to excellent restaurants. The dorms are comfortable and Viet (the owner) is really helpful with every information. You get welcome fruits in the check in, the breakfast is good. I rented a scooter with them and also did the Hai Van Pass by easy rider, it was an amazing experience! Thanks for everything!

really nice family home stay, owner really goes out of his way to help. booked tours through them and transport at a moments notice. the free breakfast is also very good

When I arrived I was greeted with fresh fruit,which was very kind. The owner,was very friendly and accommodating, and organised a trip to the DMZ. Everything was really good value for money. I would recommend this homestay to anyone!
great hostel! very hospitable, calm but still social! confortable bed, well located in the backpacker district but also isolated enough so that it's quieter. It made my stay in Hue very pleasant:)
This is the best home stay I’ve been in. The owner is the most amazing person and cares so much about all of the guests. Has more local food recommendations and provides a warm and welcome environment. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal.
The family that owns the homestay is super nice. The breakfast was good and the location is perfect, quiet but right behind the walking street
This was such a nice stay. The owner is so friendly and helpful. He will help you with anything you need and makes your stay easy. Most people come for only 1 or 2 nights so it can be a little hard to meet people. The beds were nice and bathroom was very clean

I really enjoyed my time at this hostel. I met such nice people and the atmospher felt very welcoming and warm. The facilities are perhaps a little simple, but always very clean. Comfortable beds. Host was also lovely and he helps you out with any questions.
Really nice place to stay in Hue. I had food poisoning when I arrived and the owner was so so helpful, helped me carry all my stuff and gave me lots of advice about booking onward transport. Free breakfast is a great perk. The place also has really proper storage lockers for free, one per bed.
Amazing hostel! lovely owner, very friendly and funny! giving welcome snacks and tea on arrival, beds comfy and clean. really delicious breakfast in the morning as well definitely recommend
The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. My plans changed the night before and he gave me a refund for it no questions asked. Fantastic breakfast too.
