American Hotel Hostel

Smells so bad :(

Very poor hostel. Unfriendly staff who were completely inattentive to guests. The rooms were BOILING HOT and there is no AC or even window blinds to block the sun. Don't stay here.

Total nightmare. I booked a female dorm and came back one evening to find males had been checked in to the room. My belongings were taken after breaking in to my locker. Management said they would replace damaged belongings but never did.

Too expensive for such few facilities and standards. Lockers poor with part of the metal hanging off. Bunk beds not fixed to wall much. Showers had no screen door, paper towels not checked and restocked. Kitchen facilities pretty good. But the best location there is , can't imagine getting closer to the station or fun Chinatown.

Die Unterkunft ist super runtergekommen und im Bad zum Beispiel sehr dreckig. Die Unterkunft liegt in mitten von Chinatown und es kommt auch manchmal vor dass Obdachlose direkt vor der Unterkunft schlafen. Ausserdem ist es sehr laut und man wird zb von dem Geschreie der Obdachlosen geweckt. Das Frühstück ist gut! Das Personal eher weniger nett. All in all würde ich mir das nächste mal eine andere Unterkunft suchen

The manager was extremely rude to me.

Just overall a pretty bad hostel. No decor, just plain all around. Lounge closes at 8 pm. No activities for the guests. Front desk doesn't even show you around the hostel when you check in. Hair on floor of bathroom. Kitchen ice is broken. Mold on bedroom windows. Tons of homeless outside of the hostel, in the worst part of downtown. I'm well travelled and this is one of the worst hostels I've ever been to if not the worst. There's absolutely no vibe and it is not worth the $.

We sleep in the 4th floor and it was freezing! Not cold but freezing, if we had to slept in the street it will had been the same. I had to keep my shoes to warm up when I was sleeping. Small auxiliary heaters are available if you want but in a room for 6 we try to plug 3 and that blew the power in the room. To conclude, don’t go there in the winter. The hostel was pretty clean and secure, but the building is very old. The only level that is heated is the first one where there is no room

Okay for an American Hostel… it’s a place to sleep. The location is not in a particularly great part of town however it is a few steps away from the train station which is convenient. Its pretty secure and clean though there’s not much of an atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff and discounted parking across the street.

All the facilities were in a very bad condition, old and worn out. Rusty radiator and faucets. Everything seems a bit dingy, the pillowcase was dirty. Staff was ok but seemed not overly friendly or motivated. The location was good to get around (public transport) but overall very dirty, smelly and dodgy. We had homeless people in front of our window in the middle of the night yelling and going through some garbage together with the rats. All in all we didn’t feel comfortable.

Excellent in every way. Thoughtful touches. No AC--so it could get hot, but there are individualized fans....

Staff were friendly. Facilities were OK. Due to its location, the alley ways stank and so with the window open, it permeates throughout the room (notes of urine and rotten food). I noticed some mice about the dorms.

I always come to American Hotel Hostel for my trips. I am very satisfied. Thanks for all the staff!

Surprisingly comfy bunk beds. Decent showers, though small. Free breakfast options - pretty good. Much better than my previous hostel experience, though elsewhere. Sleep quality - pretty good. The windows weren't totally sound-proofed. I still slept quite well. I wish the snack vending machine had a card reader. Cash is just fine if you bring it! Parking lot across the street is overpriced.

旅社位置特别好，步行到国王街火车站只需要10分钟（但需要坐个电梯），去海边摩天轮步行25分钟。厨房和餐厅特别大，早上有免费的早餐，还有小型会议室，接待处的男生特别友善。卧室里有洗手盆，可以简单洗漱，洗浴间非常干净。一切都很完美。再来西雅图一定还住这里

Close to train station. Walking distance to many Seattle attractions.

Good and calm hostel in the Chinatown neighbourhood . Sleeping Rooms and elevator are a bit „old/style“ due to the historical building, but community rooms , kitchen and sanitary rooms and laundry facilities are good. Free towel and breakfast included.

It's a beautiful place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean, there's lots of amenities, and it's a great price. The only minor thing I could possibly have critical feedback on is that since free street parking ends at 8 AM in downtown Seattle, it might be nice to have breakfast start before 8. All things considered, really enjoyable.

Amazing location that is right by the International District metro stop. The public spaces were great, much more than I expected (digital piano, guitars, games, books, a study spot, huge kitchen with all necessary appliances). Only annoyance was the bathrooms were in need of some more attention, but nothing terrible. I would stay there again.

Overall was good. Rooms had a weird smell, toilets were fairly clean. Not bad for the price.

Great stay, was a little dirty on floor, but could have been from guests.. The mattress was little hard for my taste, so i didnt have best sleep. But ya i would mind coming back .

Great stay. The atmosphere was nice and the employees were very helpful. The room was clean. Has a bike rack in basement if you are traveling with a bike. I would highly recommend staying here.

They dont even offer ac with 64 dollar sharing with 4 people

horrible dumpling smelling in the whole hostel. And not entertainment, nothing to do at the hostel

It's a fair price. The location itself is not the best one, but it's so close to all public transportation and so easy to get by train from the airport, that it doesn't really matter. Besides, it's a very good point to start the day with a nice walkand get to discover Seattle. It has kind of a family and friendly atmosphere, which can make the experience even better.

Close to everything. Safe for female solo traveler. Clean.
