Nous avons loué une chambre privée au RDC, odeur terrible d’humidité (moiteur) bcp de moustiques. Nous avons dû du coup demandé de l’anti moustique et de rallumer la Clim pour enlever de l’humidité. Au niveau des équipements c’est très très basique. Les espaces lounge ne sont pas cosy, et vraiment pas d’ambiance. Et en plus ils ont un panneau marqué « free coffee et strong WiFi » et nous avions ni l’un ni l’autre. Pas d’accueil ou très peu, le personnel ne parle...

It wasn't enjoyable.

Wir waren zwei Nächte im The Hostel und hatten ein Doppelzimmer. An sich ist die Lage gut und die Mitarbeiter super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein echtes Hostel Feeling kommt hier aber leider nicht auf. Für uns allerdings das Schlimmste: das Zimmer war verschimmelt und es roch auch sehr modrig. Super schade, weil das Hostel sehr viel Potenzial hätte.

Facilities are decent enough. Beds, bathrooms etc are okay. And they got a small kitchen you can use. However, there is absolutely nothing going on in this place. The social sones were constantly occupied by the hostels workers, and the hostel seemed more like a place to hang for the workers and their friends. Do not go here if you’re looking to meet other people.

A fairly simple accommodation. Not really a hostel vibe though. Rooms were clean, staff was really helpful and nice. Great location and close to the beach.

This hostel has no vibe, it’s not somewhere you stay if you’re looking to make friends or do organised activities! No locks on bedroom doors also!

Für Leute die einfach nur eine Unterkunft brauchen super. Aber hatte für mich wenig mit einem Hostel zu tun. Grad wenn es sich auch the hostel nennt. In meinem Badezimmer waren die Wände am schimmeln. Roch man auch. (Private room deluxe oder was hatte ich)

Prima basic hostel. Niet het aller schoonste of sociaalste hostel.

I stayed in one of the private rooms (no. 4). It is basic and functional: bed, desk, ac, shower. The bathroom had a strong smell - to me it seemed chemical but I’ve seen other reviews complaint about a mould smell (could also be it). When I arrived the staff blamed and removed the electrical mosquito repellent but the smell stayed. Otherwise I didn’t find the hostel as social as hoped, and slightly noisy due to staff kitchen near my room. Common area isn’t very cozy.

Its an okay hostel, but not very social. Beds are not the best, but it is okay for 1-2 nights. Great price and friendly staff.

Mein Aufenthalt war recht okay. Ich fand die Mitarbeiter ein wenig “komisch”, sie wirkten irgendwie so als wenn sie nicht bei der Arbeit seien. Dennoch war das gesamte Hostel, Zimmer, Bad etc sauber! Die Atmosphäre war nicht wirklich schön. Die Leute waren sind da hinterher Leute kennenzulernen, was ja auch nicht schlimm ist aber dies hat man sehr gemerkt. Für 1-2 Nächte aber okay

Nice and cozy hostel with comfy beds, curtain and A/C (the person who works there is friendly and turns it on during the off hours if you ask). He is also super helpful, hard-working, and is always there when you need any help. There’s also a nice kitchen area for people who want to cook their own stuff. Location also right next to the main road (I took a bus from Hiriketiya to get to Marissa and the hostel was literally a 2 minute walk from the bus stop). Only downside is not a very social vi...

Nettes Hostel in guter Lage. Die Zimmer waren groß, sauber und nachts klimatisiert. Auch die Badezimmer waren groß und sauber. Insgesamt war die Atmosphäre eher ruhig und nicht sehr social. Viele Restaurants, Cafes und Geschäfte sind in der Nähe. Es gibt kostenloses Trinkwasser und eine kleine Küche für die Gäste

The hostel was lovely, the beds were comfy, good privacy. The atmosphere is very chill there. It's not on the main road but still a good location! Just a heads up, no hot water in shower.

A great hostel, really good value and super close to the beach. The guys working there are helpful if there’s any issues. The free water is a bonus! Appreciated the curtains & the big under bed lockers!

The place is in close proximity to the city centre as well as to the beach. Main road is just at walking distance. Spacious private room as well as bathroom with separate balcony. Totally liked the stay

Very organized and clean Hostel. The free water Region is a huge plus. Nevertheless its Not very social. You Take about 10 mins of walking to the beach. We liked our stay

Nice and chill. Not really a community vibe but it’s a nice place to enjoy some more privacy whilst still staying at a hostel and having the availability of meeting people.

Stayed one night here and was lived up to expectation. Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Staff were great and very helpful

This was by far the cleanest and most well-organized place I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Everything feels very peaceful and calm. However, if you are looking for a very social atmosphere, this might not be the right place—at least based on my one-night stay. Some activities were mentioned on Linkup, but it didn’t seem like they were actually taking place. That said, this hostel is quite new and I believe it has great potential to become an excellent place to stay in the coming years.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and really nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind , they took the time to talk and made me feel very welcome. The location is perfect, within walking distance to both the beach and the town. Great vibes all around, and everything about the stay was spot on. Highly recommend!

super nice hostel and friendly staff, everything was clean and the rooms were good. there are curtains for the beds and there is storage beneath the bed.

Nice hostel with large common areas to hang out in and kitchen and fridge available to use. Very friendly and helpful staff, ended up extending 2 extra nights. Clean dorms and bathroom, about 7-10 minutes walk to Mirissa Beach
