Latima Boutique Hostel

Absolutely do not stay here as a solo traveller. There’s zero atmosphere and I ended up in a ten bed dorm alone. It feels like they wanted a hotel but threw in a dorm room for some extra money. I saw some people check-in, but other than that, never saw a soul in this hostel. The showers looked good, but only the smaller heads seemed to work (not the rain head) and the hand towels were unstocked for most of my time there. Despite being empty, super noisy from the main road. Checked out early.

4 flights of stairs[No Lift] > For aged 78Veteran? Never told prior to arrival? Required to wear slippers around the building? Warning signs everywhere that customer will be fined 2000/200/ baht for not complying [Juvenile Detention Centre?] > Breakfast adequate & well presented > Pool had murky water [Not used!] > Left tip in room for cleaner, but on departure Staff produced a towel [No idea whose?] that had small smudge mark > I was fined 200 baht for towel replacement. Never again stay here!

Es herrschte eine seltsame Grundstimmung. Es waren kaum andere Gäste da und das Hostel lud nicht gerade ein in den Kontakt zu kommen. (Vielleicht hab ich aber auch eine schlechte Woche erwischt) Es gibt zwei Busse, von denen man Tagesausflüge machen kann. Sonst private Touren. Unterkunft war super sauber!! Betten waren auch bequem und man hatte genug Platz. Da es an einer Hauptstraße gelegen ist, relativ laut.

Dorm room very clean and the bed comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a pool which was nice. There was no one staying in my dorm room when I was there, so was like a private room. It has more of a hotel feel.

Super clean, close to Kwai River.two staff members were particularly helpful but you really need to know what you want to do. Pool is great to cool off in. No atmosphere at all to meet others - very quiet and peaceful. Room was a bit cramped but clean.

Probably one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. Phenomenal design and quality. Great pool and staff very helpful and nice. Close to River Kwai and most attractions. Genuinely stunning and not that expensive. Highly recommended.

Actual Hostel was great, but absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever; it was like a like a ghost town inside. Eerie!

Hostel loin du hot spot, tranquille, mais propre. Néanmoins, l'emplacement permet des déplacements plua rapide dans les environs. La piscine est un + agréable. Le personnel été peu enthousiaste, mais nous a aidé lorsque nécessaire. Je serais prêt à retourner ici à l'avenir.

Sehr sauber und schöne Zimmer. Viel Informationen über mögliche Touren. Der Pool ist klein und schön, leider ist die Straße aber sehr laut. Lage nahe der Kwai Bridge. Wir machten unser eigenes Frühstück, gefühlt war die Besitzerin davon weniger begeistert, da sie ab dem zweiten Tag sehr kühl zu uns war (vielleicht ist es auch ihre Art?). Wir haben auf jeden Fall sonst freundlichere Hostelbesitzer kennengelernt und waren daher etwas irritiert. Insgesamt aber schönes Hostel.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié cet hostel : la piscine, les chambres spacieuses, la salle de bain, le changement de serviettes quotidien, et le petit-déjeuner avec le plateau de fruits étaient top. En revanche, j’ai parfois eu l’impression de déranger en posant des questions à la réception, ce qui était un peu dommage.

It’s a nice quiet hostel that’s close to the bridge over the river kwai. The staff were really helpful. Thank you to Bank who helped me out when I lost my key card. And thank you to the housekeeper who waited outside with me to make sure I got the right bus to Erawan falls.

Absolutely amazing place to stay in Kanchanaburi. Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, the AC and wifi were good and our bed was big and comfy. We stayed in a private room and we couldn’t recommend this place enough. You can do your laundry here, and the bus for the waterfalls stops directly outside. The staff were so helpful and provided information about different public transport for hellfire pass, erewan falls and for onwards travel, highly recommend!!

Relaxed hostel to stay! The pool is amazing, they clean everyday and you also get a new bottle of water everyday. It’s a bit further from everything but a very cheap grab can take you there. Very convenient that the bus to the Erwan waterfalls stops right in front of the hostel.

Overall great hostel although it’s more of a hotel, but definitely for more of a relaxing stay as no atmosphere and no real bar there. On our last day we asked to use the showers and toilets (not in the rooms) after checking out but weren’t allowed so had to shower in the pool shower just a bit annoying as we had stayed there. Overall good aircon, comfy beds but more of a very quiet hotel vibe

Was een erg fijn hostel, schoon, netjes en dicht bij de brug! De nightmarket is wel 20 minuten lopen. Zijn erg behulpzaam met het uitzoeken van dagtrips en het huren van een scooter. Aanrader!

We really enjoyed our stay - the Latima Hostel has really beautiful interior and we felt like home immediately. The pool was also really nice, especially if it’s as hot in kanchanaburi as it was during our stay. We would absolutely recommend the hostel. ☺️

Totally top-notch stay! The people here are incredibly friendly and happy to help you on your way to famous sights - even finding the right bus. The hostel itself is super clean and neatly maintained. Employee May made our experience even better by even dropping us off at the late night market after her working day. Really great service and hospitality!

Het hostel ligt wat verder van het levendige gedeelte (zo’n 20-30 min lopen). Dat kan een nadeel zijn, maar als je de rust juist zoekt is het perfect. De bus stopt wel voor de deur dus dat is weer ideaal. Verder is het een heel rustig hostel, er is dus niet zoveel sociaals te beleven. Ik was op zoek naar rust dus dan is dit perfect. Het personeel is zo super lief (in het bijzonder May!) ze heeft ons naar de bus gebracht omdat we die hadden gemist. Verder heel nette kamers en badkamers!

The staff is quite helpful. I parked my scooter nose in and the next morning they had moved it pointing nose out to make it easier for me to leave. I asked them for some extra water when returning and they said it was already in my room. They are proactive and effective with their accomodations. The only problem I had was noise from other guests woke me up a few times when I was sleeping during the day while still acclimatizing to the jetlag.

Very clean, comfy beds! Nice pool and they have bike you can use for free. The Main Street is a 5min bike or 20min walk which is easy. Hostel is on main highway so a little loud when trying to relax but still a nice peaceful place. Didn’t see anyone else there. Would recommend if your looking for a quiet place

Great place to stay nit a far walk to the Main Street with heaps of restaurants. Staff super lovely and helpful. Loved the pool and bikes. Super clean!

Heel fijn hostel! Super vriendelijk personeel, ze willen je overal mee helpen. Bed lekker ruim en de kamer schoon. Je kan makkelijk vanuit daar verplaatsen voor de verschillende activiteiten in de buurt. Zeker aan te raden !
