Bodhi Santa Catalina

The dorm room smelled terrible. There was no air circulation at all. The bathroom and sheets etc were clean. Just the room itself smelled like a toilet.. There were no fans, just an AC, but with the windows open. The staff wasn’t very helpful on this topic. One night they forget to put on the AC in the rooms and had already left. I stayed one night in the private and this one was nice. So I would advise anyone to book the private. The guy that does breakfast is nice and helpful.

Ich bin in der Nacht durch gekrabel in meinem Bett aufgewacht. Am nächsten Tag habe ich dann Kakerlaken im Zimmer entdeckt. Die Fenster im 6er Zimmer kann man nicht öffnen, heisst es kann nicht gelüftet werden, sprich: es riecht nicht gut im Zimmer. Es gibt keine Steckdosen bei den Betten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und abgesehen von den erwähnten Dingen, fühlt man sich sehr wohl.

Our dorm bathroom was outside of the room and was used by all the staff/volunteer and everyone in the kitchen/commun area... So it was always busy and not clean. Dorm was tiny, very difficult to move with all the backpack. No light or outlet by the bed... Didn't enjoy

The hostel is nice, but there’s only 1 bathroom to all rooms.

Good location, very comfortable beds, helpful staff, nice kitchen. Overall cleanliness not great (floors are very dirty) and place can use some serious maintenance and TLC (plugs in rooms broken, pool area smells bad, cushions worn down). It can get quite busy, and most guests are in transit or planning next steps and asking for advice for their choices which can make it feel a bit intense at times. But for $10 not bad.

We generally enjoyed the stay in the hostel. We slept in the dorm for 5 (with AC) which doesn’t have its own bathroom. We knew this before, but it was still annoying since it was often occupied (the staff and other guests used it as well). The kitchen was really clean and the breakfast good. The staff, apart from one guy, wasn’t really helpful and always did not understand what we asked for. We wanted to book a shuttle to Panama City but we couldn’t pre-book. We ended up booking elsewhere...

Unfortunately no AC

Not my favorite hostel but not the worst I’ve stayed in. Kitchen was fine and the outside deck was good for working. The staff was so-so. Helpful at times, but other times I had to talk to numerous people to have something done. The dorms were ok and I liked the privacy curtain but I hated how people not staying in our room would constantly go in our room to use our en-suite bathroom. Felt a little unsecure here because there was no locking door for the room or building. The cat was cute thoug...

The staff didn't seem to want to help, or even be able to give advice about the area or buses from Santa Catalina. They seemed disinterested my whole stay.

Ein durchschnittliches Hostel ohne Besonderheiten. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein und es gibt keine Schränke oder Schließfächer. Dafür gibt es eine Klimaanlage und die meisten Betten hatten einen Vorhang und eigene Steckdosen. Es gibt etwas wenige Toiletten und Duschen, dass es vorkam, dass man warten muss. Die Küche ist sauber und hat genug Ausstattung zum Kochen und essen. Zum Frühstück gibt es 2 Pancakes oder 1,5 Scheiben Frenchtoast. Es war lecker aber zu wenig.

Great hostel and staff!

Ein einfaches und ehrliches Hostel ohne viel Schnick Schnack. AC in den Dorms war top! Nette Mitarbeiter, gute Lage, kein Pool, kleine Anlage. Für das was es ist eine gute Wahl.

Super Aufenthalt und entspannte Atmosphäre. Tolles Personal! Einzig in den Privatzimmern könnte eine Art Ablagefläche helfen

Heel fijne plek voor als je in Santa Catalina bent. De staff is heel aardig en er hangt een gezellige sfeer.

Amilkar war der beste Gastgeber den man sich nur wünschen kann! Wir haben uns jeden Morgen auf sein leckeres Frühstück gefreut. Er hat uns bei jeder Frage oder Angelegenheit sofort geholfen 🥰 Die Lage ist super, alles war immer total sauber und die Einrichtung ist sehr schön.

I enjoyed the stay in the hostel. But my biggest concern is the lack of bathrooms! There were only 2 bathrooms for 2 dorms (11 people) and one of them was used by other guest as well. So we always had to wait quite a long time to get in. Breakfast was good, everyday something different. Staff is super nice as well. Hostel was very clean.

Ik had een klein hutje voor mijzelf. Fijn om een eigen badkamer te hebben. Het was schoon. Enige nadeel was dat erg warm is 's nachts.

Great hostel! Very friendly staff, clean facilities. 5 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Nice dorm rooms with AC, and the kitchen was nice with lots of counter space, and a good selection of books! Nearby a minimart, but kind of far from the beach. The man working reception was very helpful and kind!

I loved the hostel. I stayed in the dorm for 5 nights - very clean + AC & free towel. The kitchen was also very clean and it was just a very cozy place to stay. The host Noel was so welcoming and friendly and the breakfast they provided was amazing as well! Would definitely stay there again!

Lovely private room. A good walk from the big beach (~20 minutes), but safe to walk there even after dark. Some good cafes and stores close by. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Chill vibes - not a party hostel (which is what we wanted).

One of my favorite hostels! I had a great time in Bodhi. All of the staff is amazing and really nice - especially Noel made me feel so welcome and at home during my stay. Facilities and location are great as well. Loved the breakfast - different breakfast ever day which tastes very good. Common area with hammocks makes it easy to meet new people. Would always come back there!

Bodhi hostel was a really nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was perfect. The walk to the surfing beach in Santa Catalina is a bit long but still doable. The hostel has a cozy vibe and i would recommend staying here for sure!

Really great hostel with nice areas to relax, comfortable dorms and big kitchen. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom nice but only 1 available between all the dorms!
