Vibe Hostel

It's super expensive compared what it is offering, and for the second day price was doubled

Great Location. But not clean, and facilities are limited. Strange vibe. Would not recommend.

This hostel was extremely run down and dirty, the toilet often didn’t have toilet paper, doors didn’t shut properly, the kitchen was filthy and lacked basics. Only few PowerPoints for charging devices. There isn’t enough bathrooms for people and often have to wait. I only stayed one night but did not feel the “vibe” of this place. The positive is that it’s close to the bus terminal and walking distance to Centro Paraty.

Unfortunately, our stay was not amazing. The greeting was friendly enough although the hostel felt very dated and is not represented well in the photos. We did not feel secure as the door did not lock, also our room was literally made out of cardboard (walls). Cleanliness not the worst but not the best either!

Convenient location but the kitchen and room were extremely dirty and the hostel is generally run down. The bedding and mattress were particularly dirty which made for an uncomfortable stay. No air con or en suite as advertised. Sadly would not recommend.

A great experiment! I don’t know what I prefered between the noise of volunteers or the pee smell in all the room .We still don’t know if the latter was due to the small cat that decided to be our roomate for the stay or due to the nice plumbing that made us feel as we were living next to the Iguazu Falls. I’ve always wanted to live the big adventure in Brasil but I didn’t know that having the fear of the roof falling on our heads would be part of it.

Das Hostel ist extrem runtergekommen. Die Betten waren ranzig und durchgelegen, die Badezimmer waren voller Schimmel und Waschbecken etc. Waren auch nicht richtig angebracht. Es gibt keinen vibe im Hostel, dass man auf irgendeine Weise zusammenkommt. Man muss auch dazu sagen, dass wir mit unseren Zimmergenossen kein Glück hatten. Wir sind von zwei Nächten nur eine Nacht geblieben und haben uns eine neue Unterkunft gesucht. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen!!

Property is very run down, does not look like photos anymore. Suppose to be a party hostel but no party vibes/ social atmosphere at all. Did not feel comfortable in mixed dorm. Had to get my own set of fresh sheets from laundry, not provided, only a dirty doona cover. Would not stay here again or recommend to others.

Muito quente em todos os ambientes, fora os quartos, que tem ar condicionado. Pouco ventilado, não muito limpo e as áreas comuns do térreo são escuras e cheias de mosquito.

Gut gelegenes und sicheres Hostel mit Küche. Mitarbeiter sind okay. Leider kein social vibe. Es werden keine Aktivitäten und kein Essen angeboten. Zum Übernachten reicht es.

really nice hostel for the price. just some problem with charging. staff was really nice. it was also clean and has a good kitchen

22 yr female solo traveller here. I thought the facilities were quite basic but completely adequate. At first I was nervous about the safety because it’s on a fairly busy road, but after a day I felt completely safe. The location is great, I walked to the village centre and to the bus station.

Die Lage und das Personal waren sehr, sehr gut. Die Einrichtung war okay für low budget reisen :)

I liked the Hostel, it’s chill in a good location. The owner was just screaming and was a bit intense, especially when closing the kitchen at point 10pm

A lot seemed closed for renovations. We also had issues with the water. The water stopped working and about 25 people were trying to shower in the 2-3 available bathrooms. Toilets often wouldn’t flush. The kitchen is okay but you need a lighter to start the gas stove and half the time there wasn’t one. Every door squeaks and everyone up but that’s sometimes just how hostels go. I think there’s potential here but I probably wouldn’t stay as it is. They could use a few more fans around a...

It was reasonably cheap compared to everywhere else. 10 min walk from the centre. Kitchen wasn’t clean when we arrived, there was someone’s fried egg pans that apparently had been there since this morning. Toilets and rooms were okay though. Kitchen has basic things but wouldn’t say it was particularly well equipped.

Die Unterkunft war OK. Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig und es fehlte eindeutig an Spinden zum Einschließen von Wertsachen. Und leider gab es eine Gruppe von Britinnen (natürlich), die nach dem Feiern extremst laut waren und alle im Schlafsaal aufgeweckt haben.

You get what you pay for, we had a great time and met lots of great people, just be prepared for smelly bathrooms, damp dirty bath mats and uncomfortable beds. the kitchen was equipped just very small for the amount of people

Pretty good location ! unfortunately didn’t find the hostel very sociable but the 10 dorms bedroom made the job for 3 days

Cest comprenable pourquoi il nest pas chere, pas de serviette de douche a louer, vraiment pas propre comme hostel. Aucunement un hostel rassembleur qui organise des événements. Pas de locker pour garder ton backpack apres le chekout et la meilleur cest qu'il te demande de payer 15 real pour prendre une douche dans leur petite salle de bain a eau froide en bas, cest rien 15 real mais cest une question de service....un minimum mais bon a la fin cest un hostel pas chere et cest compréhensible

L'hostel est globalement bien et propre, mais manque de salle de bain/toilettes (2 pour tout l'hostel...) et la cuisine est en mauvais état et il n'y a pas du tout assez de matériel pour tout le monde, on n'a pas pu l'utiliser. Super bien placé en revanche.

A pretty cool hostel to be honest, questioned why it was so cheap, the rating was kind of low and there was no one staying at it. If many people were staying it would be great, the rooms are big with ensuite bathroom, has a useful kitchen, is close to bus station, market and restaurants. Hosts only spoke Portuguese but were really nice.

gostei bastante, tive uma ótima estadia e fui bem recepcionado, fica a 1 minuto do mercado e 3 do centro histórico de paraty. perfeito para quem quer economizar e ter uma ótima estadia! em breve volto. 😁

Friendly staff location is great because all the things near are cheap would recommend also because the bus station is very close.

not the best hostel, AC in my private room didn't work so my room was very hot, also the light in the toilet/ shower didn't work, but very cheap so I guess you get what you pay for

Did the job for a couple of nights stay but nothing particularly good to say. Walking distance of the old town and bus station so good location
