Surfhous Estilo Libre

Worst place I’ve stayed in 9mths travelling. The place is so dirty - the kitchen had a dirty grey vest (for cleaning the sides?) with its own ecosystem and insects and mouldy food on the sides and in a fridge that had never been cleanedz there were animal droppings on my mosquito net and the room was never swept. Staff played music load until 2am and the whole room was awake. Avoid this place!

coole Möglichkeit ein paar Nächte in Ladrilleros zu verbringen. Personal ist freundlich und steht immer zur Verfügung. Küche war schmutzig. Gemeinschaftsbereich war für uns nicht sehr einladend (z.b. viel unpassend laute Musik).

Great stay with amazing people, and a great atmosphere (yoga and surf class). The facilities are getting really nice, just a bit short in water sometimes but it’s understandable. The mattress isn’t the most comfortable and could benefit anti-mosquito net. Great common areas with nice new kitchen and place to share meals and enjoy the hamacs.

Nice hostel, nice atmosphere, great owners! Could be a bit cheaper for the offered standard.

It is a quite, chilled place. In a few minutes you reach the next beach. The atmosphere is really nice a lot of hammoks around. The Hostel include a beautiful garden. The staff is amazing, they help with arranging tours, getting a taxi and might sing and doing some music in the evening. They also rent surf boards. If it is not raining, you might run out of water, and you have to share the kitchen with the family and staff. So you might have go wait a few minutes.

Tenha em mente que é um hostel bem simples em uma região mais remota do país. Os quartos são bons, as camas tem mosquiteira, mas os colchões são bem ruins, desconfortáveis e com os tais “bed bugs”. A cozinha é relativamente bem equipada, porém não é a das mais limpas. E os chuveiros não possuem água quente. Os funcionários são atenciosos e gente boa, te recebem super bem. Fora os animais que moram lá, gatinhos e cachorros que fazem sua estadia melhor

the hostel is really cute. theres a few shops and restaurants arround. the beach 10mins walk. theres alot of moskitos and its raining alot. the bed in the dorm was comfy and it has a moskitonet. the stuff is really friendly and helpful. the toiletts was most of the time clean.the kitchen is absolutly disgusting. its a outside kitchen and full with insects. millions of fruitflies.dont cook there. it felt like theres more stuff then guests. the wifi is supergood. its a hippy place. smoking. whales

Great for my needs. Honestly don't know why anyone would stay at Pacifico etc which are inconvenient and away from the beach. This was a short walk to a couple of beaches, albeit with detritus nnad other organic material in the water close to shore. I wouldn't stay anywhere else

Close to the beach and nice chill out areas. Not super clean or spacious. Good value for money though.

Hostel très mignon avec des hôtes adorables ! Les dortoirs sont très bien, les douches et toilettes sont un peu rustiques mais fonctionnent bien. La cuisine n’est pas très propre mais il y a pas mal d’ustensiles. Les plages sont à 7 et 30 minutes à pied et vous pouvez booker des excursions avec les hôtes. Je recommande pour déconnecter !

One of my favorite hostels! Main thing is the owner and staff are amazing and so nice!! Going to the beach together for surf classes/sessions twice a day, hanging out and making everyone feel super welcome overall. Loved it!!

I have falling in love with this place! First I had only 1 night booked but extended to a week. The Hostal itself is really chill and the vibes are just so relaxed. The staff including the volunteers are so nice and welcoming. If I could stay longer I would. Coming back one day for sure.

Tolles Hostel. Surfkurs hat total Spaß gemacht.

Really great place! There are surfboards to rent and a lot of hammocks to rest in. Very chill atmosphere. The kitchen is simple but nice and we managed well to cook dinner two nights in a row for four people. Traveling as a group, this place was great. Also met some very nice people, everyone is very friendly. As a solo female traveler, it would have been scary to go through Buenaventura by myself though, so I’m glad there were four of us when we did that, even though nothing really happened.

I had a great stay here. The staff and volunteers made this place really special. Beautiful nature and good surf equipment. Thanks to Juan David for the amazing food! Would come again any time :)

Bestes Hostel in Ladrilleros! Man wird in diesem Hostel wie in einer Freundesfamilie aufgenommen. David und Sebastian sind tolle Köche! Ich konnte auch flexibel mein Zimmer wechseln und konnte viele Leute kennenlernen. Das Ambiente ist perfekt, wenn man Surfen lernen will und am Abend zusammen Zeit verbringen will! Such a fun hostel run by really really really nice people!! The food was great and the vibes were incredible! Shout out to Sebastian “The Badman” in the kitchen! What a guy!

Incroyable endroit, ambiance géniale, staff trop sympa, j’aurais pu y rester très longtemps… (attention ne pas vous attendre à un truc très luxe, c’est roots mais c’est ça qui fait l’ambiance!)

Simple hostel, one of the best I've been to in terms of staff and atmosphere.Clean and well located

I absolutely loved this hostel, it had the perfect amount of different spots to chill and socialise in. the owners, workers and volunteers are all so lovely and welcoming. we booked one night but stayed for 6

We enjoyed our stay at the Estilo Libre Surf House! The family was super sweet(we especially enjoyed the time spent with the two small girls, Karen and Natalia), they had nice volunteers on site that explained everything and one could ask anyone for help. Everything you need is accessible even though the property is quite remote, the little town and beach are easily reachable with a couple minute walk. Todo estuvo perfecto, nos atendieron muy bien, el lugar es muy cómodo y seguro, se encuentra a 15 minutos caminando de la playa y seguramente volvería. :)
