SocialTel Samui, Chaweng Beach

It’s expected when you go to a social/party hostel there will be loud music playing at night, but this hostel is on a new level. It would be fine if there was actually a good/social vibe and people were hanging out, but the problem is there was no one there. There was music blasting so loud until 3am that the walls in our room were shaking and we barely slept. The beds are really comfy and the rooms are nice but besides that I would not recommend staying here.

Ich war hier total gern ein Gast! Super Lage und Mega liebe und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Zimmer und Bäder waren sauber. Betten richtig bequem. Allgemein hat mir das Hostel super gut gefallen. Pool und alles drumherum war super! Viele Sitzplätze und Mega Atmosphäre um neue Leute kennen zu lernen!

The hostel as huge potential to be such a nice party/social hostel but the events are poorly planned and (I think) there are no reps working here to create the atmosphere. The check in process is SO long and also the key to our didn’t work for 3/5 days we stayed there. Kind of annoying to keep complaining about it. But the pool area is nice and there are many sunbeds. Also, good location close to everything in Chaweng.

Great hostel, super social! Rooms were very nice and it was great having storage by the bed. Bathrooms were modern and it was super easy to make friends! Central location so it’s super close to many restaurants and bars

Was here during Songkran, positives are the lovely staff, comfy beds and great room layout, plus location is in the middle of all the fun. Unfortunately showers weren’t cleaned everyday so floors got pretty nasty. Bar/pool area played loud music til late into the night so defo bring earplugs.

Great hostel and such great value!. The staff were polite and helpful whilst the facilities were some of the best I've experienced in Thailand. Right in the heart of town too and the tours are fantastic!

This hostel is amazing. Best hostel I’ve stayed in Thailand. The rooms are amazing. They are really clean and you have your own space. Even a balcony! The entertainment is also great and the location is perfect.

Great hostel, good people, Very sociable. Annabel and Petong were great fun around the hostel.

Least social hostel I’ve been in in my 6 weeks of travelling, rooms themselves are good but that’s about the only good thing I have to say about this hostel

The hostel was such a good vibe. good people, good music. Annabel and Petong were brilliant reps!!

Eveything was amazing apart from the system they have going on at reception. They have one person in peak periods when 10 plus people are trying to check in. Check in process is very very long. If you want to speak to reception you have to wait for 3 groups check in before you can even speak to them. Considering how big the hostel is it needs wayyyyyy more attention at reception.

This hostel was amazing, good vibes. The reps Annabel and Petang, Freya were very good.

Nice party vibes on the weekends. The staff were nice and friendly. Beer pong with Petong and Annabell was fun! Won free drinks for winning the game haha

Decent, but not that amazing. If you want decent sleep go to another hostel
